412: The transfer formalities have been completed!

When the two returned to the Housing Management Bureau, the hall was still locked, so they stood outside the door, waiting to enter and complete the procedures as soon as it opened.

At 1:30 PM, the hall finally opened. Liu Xiaolin and Li Xiuming rushed in immediately. This time, it went very smoothly. All the necessary documents were prepared, and they provided whatever information the staff requested, quickly getting everything done.

“Sir, here is your property deed. Please keep it safe,” the staff member said expressionlessly as he handed the new deed through the window.

Liu Xiaolin, who received the property deed, finally let out a long sigh of relief: “It’s finally done! I didn’t expect the transfer procedures to be so troublesome.”

“If it’s too much trouble, then don’t come here to do it,” the staff member said, rolling his eyes and sounding annoyed, after hearing Liu Xiaolin’s remark.

“You do this job, why are you so rude?” The procedures were already completed, so there was no need to fear him making trouble. Liu Xiaolin finally couldn’t help but say, feeling a bit indignant.

“We don’t earn a single cent from you for doing this job. What right do you have to call us troublesome?” The staff member seemed even more aggrieved than Liu Xiaolin.

“Alright, alright, as long as the matter is handled, that’s good. Don’t argue. Let’s hurry up and go. Don’t you still have to move? Let’s go, let’s go,” Li Xiuming quickly said, trying to smooth things over.

“If I didn’t have so many things to do, I would definitely complain about you,” Liu Xiaolin huffed, stood up, and turned to leave.

Although the transfer procedures were completed first thing in the afternoon, there was still a whole bunch of things waiting for him to do, so there was really no need to waste time here. 33 Novel Network

“What are you planning to do next? I’ll go with you,” Li Xiuming said, seeing Liu Xiaolin looking angry, and fearing that he might get into an accident while driving, so he decided to follow him.

“Don’t you still have something to do this afternoon?” Liu Xiaolin recalled Li Xiuming saying in the morning that he was in a hurry to choose a house.

“Hey, looking at houses online isn’t good enough! You still have to see them in person, so I’m free this afternoon. Let’s go, I’ll help you move,” Li Xiuming said, pulling Liu Xiaolin into the car.

“I’ll go to the hotel first to check out and get my luggage,” Liu Xiaolin thought for a moment and said, “Then I’ll go buy bedding and daily necessities.”

“How about this, you drop me off at a large shopping mall, and I’ll help you buy bedding and daily necessities there. You go handle the check-out. This way, we can do both at once, which will be faster,” Li Xiuming suggested.

“That works. When you buy the bedding, make sure to buy it according to the size of the bed at home. I don’t even know the size of the bed at home,” Liu Xiaolin thought, it was a good thing he brought Li Xiuming; otherwise, he would have to go back and measure it.

“The beds at home are all 1.8 by 2 meters. I know what size bedding to buy, don’t worry,” Li Xiuming said, looking confident.

“Okay, that puts my mind at ease. There’s a large hypermarket right next to the hotel I’m staying at. I’ll drop you off there, and you can help me buy things. Don’t worry about the price; just make sure the items are good,” Liu Xiaolin was not good at shopping anyway, and now that someone was willing to help him, he was naturally delighted.

“Alright, it’s settled then. When I get there, I’ll just shout, ‘Give me six sets of your most expensive bedding!’ Wouldn’t that be it? Haha!” Li Xiuming said.

“Good heavens, are you really planning to rip me off like a naive kid? That won’t do. It doesn’t have to be too expensive; the duvet covers and sheets just need to be pure cotton, and the cotton batting should be from Southern Xinjiang. You can pick any pattern you like, just make it manly,” Liu Xiaolin still had his own ideas.

“Okay, mission accomplished!” Li Xiuming said, seeing that Liu Xiaolin was no longer angry, and naturally stopped teasing him.

They quickly arrived at the hypermarket. Liu Xiaolin found a parking spot and stopped the car, letting Li Xiuming get out: “You go quickly. I’ll walk directly to the hotel to check out, to avoid having to look for parking there.” Liu Xiaolin thought the hotel wasn’t far, so this would actually be more convenient.

He hurried into the hotel and went to the front desk to check out. Then he returned to his room to retrieve his suitcase.

This series of actions took just over ten minutes to complete: “Alright, I can go back to my own house to rest now, haha.”

Liu Xiaolin was very happy. He had always disliked staying in hotels, so no matter which city he went to, he would arrange a dormitory for himself at the company. Since he didn't have his own company in Yuhai City, he could only stay in a hotel. Fortunately, he could finally leave today.

He walked out of the hotel, extremely happy.

Pushing his suitcase, he quickly returned to the parking lot below the hypermarket. After putting the suitcase in the trunk, he called Li Xiuming: “Brother Li, how are the things coming along? Do you need me to come up and help?”

“You finished so quickly?” Li Xiuming was very surprised: “I thought I would be a bit faster than you. Why don’t you come up to the third floor to find me? I’ve picked out a few four-piece sets; you can see if the patterns are to your liking.”

“No need, you can just choose. I’m terrible at picking things,” Liu Xiaolin had finally managed to push the shopping task away, so why would he take it back?

“But I haven’t bought daily necessities or anything yet! If you wait in the car, you’ll have to wait for a long time,” Li Xiuming didn’t understand why Liu Xiaolin, this guy, didn’t want to buy the things he himself needed.

“Alright then, I’ll buy the daily necessities at the supermarket on the first floor, and then we’ll meet in the parking lot,” Liu Xiaolin wasn’t so intimidated by buying daily necessities. He would just grab whatever he saw; that wasn’t difficult.

So, he got out of the car and walked into the supermarket on the first floor. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, shower gel, slippers, and so on—he pushed a shopping cart and grabbed anything useful he saw, throwing it into the cart. Before long, the shopping cart was surprisingly full.

When he pushed the slowly moving shopping cart to the checkout, he stunned the cashier: “My goodness, why did you buy so many things?”

“Haha, they’re all things needed at home,” Liu Xiaolin was embarrassed by all the attention he was getting.

After he paid, the attendant helped him pack about a dozen bags. Seeing that Liu Xiaolin couldn't carry them all by himself, he kindly suggested, “Sir, you can push the shopping cart to the parking lot. We have dedicated staff waiting there to push the carts back.”

Liu Xiaolin then put the dozen or so bags into the shopping cart, pushed the cart to the parking lot, and put the dozen bags of daily necessities into the trunk.

At this moment, Li Xiuming still hadn’t come downstairs. He was a bit anxious, so he made another call: “Brother Li, why haven’t you finished yet? I’ve already bought all the daily necessities.”

“The items I’m buying are all large. The sales assistant recommended that I get a membership card for a discount, so I’m busy getting the membership card! Please wait a moment. Once the membership card is ready, I can come downstairs,” Li Xiuming said.

Liu Xiaolin thought to himself, this guy actually got talked into getting a membership card; he really doesn't make things easy.
