205: Found a shipwreck on the sea floor?

"If our deep-sea submarine can contribute to society, it will be well worth it," Liu Xiaolin said, also excited.

"Let's go and see the images you sent back from the deep sea. Everyone can learn about deep-sea marine life," Niu De said with a smile.

"What? Learn about deep-sea marine life? Are you kidding me?" Liu Xiaolin was stunned. Was this true?

"I was just kidding. We need to analyze various data from the images captured by the external cameras, understand?" Niu De said with a smile, "As for the study of marine life, let the biologists do that."

"Then I'll go with you to review the deep-sea tour footage from earlier, and then I'll think about if there's anything that needs improvement," Liu Xiaolin said, still wanting more.

"Let's go, let's go to the laboratory together. You can look at marine life, and we can look at the effect of water flow on the submarine's speed. Neither will be delayed," Niu De said with a smile.

So, the group got in the car and went straight back to the huge laboratory in the submarine research and development workshop.

After entering the laboratory, Niu De took some data and began to analyze it.

A research and development staff member had already stored the received footage on a USB drive. While Liu Xiaolin waited patiently, he opened the USB drive folder, opened the stored video, and the footage of the deep-sea submarine going out to sea immediately appeared on the large screen.

Everyone else was busy testing data and making comparisons, while Liu Xiaolin pulled Zhang Weichen, who had just run over to watch the fun and had long been assigned to wander one for data analysis, to sit in front of the screen and watch the footage with great interest.

"Don't go, come and look at the underwater world with me," Liu Xiaolin said, pulling Zhang Weichen's hand.

Zhang Weichen had originally wanted to participate in the research and development of the deep-sea submarine, but Niu De had assigned him to wander one for data analysis, so he had no choice but to go. Now that Liu Xiaolin was pulling him to look at the deep-sea footage, he was also happy to have a chance to slack off.

"You're the one who pulled me to watch this. If Engineer Niu comes over and scolds me later, you have to stand up for me," Zhang Weichen said, pretending to be wronged.

"No problem, I'll stand up for you," Liu Xiaolin guaranteed, patting his chest.

"All right then, I'll reluctantly accompany you to look at the underwater world," Zhang Weichen said, which was typical of someone who got a benefit and still complained about it.

"Haha, so this Ghost Shark swam over from the left! It's so interesting. Its face just now really scared me," Liu Xiaolin said, pointing at the screen and laughing.

"Oh, this Sea Pig is soft and quite fun. Compared to the Ghost Shark, it's too small," Zhang Weichen said with a smile.

"Huh? You know Sea Pigs too? That's good. I thought I was the only one who liked these deep-sea creatures," Liu Xiaolin said in surprise.

"I like deep-sea creatures very much, okay? If that old guy Niu De hadn't assigned me to the data analysis group for wander one, I would definitely be one of the people who went on the underwater tour today," Zhang Weichen said indignantly after secretly glancing at Niu De.

"Haha, aren't you afraid I'll report you?" Liu Xiaolin was amused.

"Go ahead and report me. I've argued with him several times right in front of him. Hmph," Zhang Weichen said proudly.

"Impressive, you don't even care about the chief engineer anymore," Liu Xiaolin said, looking at Zhang Weichen and finding it even funnier.

"What do you know? This is called striving to make greater contributions, not fighting for fame and fortune," Zhang Weichen said, giving Liu Xiaolin a look.

"Okay, okay, you're right. Let's continue watching the underwater world," Liu Xiaolin said with a smile.

Suddenly, he noticed something wasn't right in the footage. Among the scattered marine life, he spotted an object resembling a mast.

"Zhang Weichen, look what this is? What is this?" Liu Xiaolin shouted excitedly.

"Isn't that a Blood-Lip Batfish?" Zhang Weichen was startled by Liu Xiaolin's shout.

"No, it's behind the Blood-Lip Batfish, to the left of that Ghost Shark, there's something like a mast," Liu Xiaolin shouted excitedly. He was sure he saw a mast.

"It looks like it. Why is there a mast here? Let's see if there's a shipwreck under the mast," Zhang Weichen pushed up the frame of his glasses on his nose and stared carefully at the footage.

At this moment, Liu Xiaolin's shouting attracted several other people. They all ran over to observe carefully together.

Although the submarine had external lights, the underwater world was still quite dim. The mast was visible because the Ghost Shark's slender body reflected a bit of faint light, making the mast slightly clearer.

"Pause the footage, pause the footage," Liu Xiaolin shouted loudly.

So a research and development staff member hurried to the computer and reached out to press the pause button.

"Do you see it? Where the Sea Pig is resting seems to be a deck. That's right, it's a deck," Liu Xiaolin said, pointing to a dark area.

"I also think it's a shipwreck. Look, where the Blood-Lip Batfish is resting isn't the seabed, but the bow of a ship."

"I see the stern. There's an unknown marine creature resting limply there at the stern, but a corner of the stern is still sticking out."

"I see the ship's side too. Look, this area covered in barnacles and moss is the ship's side."

"I see it too. This ship seems to have been at the bottom of the sea for quite some years."

"At the bottom of the sea, which is full of water, wooden ships don't rot easily. Haven't you heard? After dragon boat races in the south, the boats are sunk into the mud at the bottom of ponds for preservation, and when they're retrieved the following year, they're like new."

"Yes, yes, I've heard that too."

"This ship looks quite large. Its shape looks very similar to the design of Dragon Country's ancient ships from five hundred years ago."

"Five hundred years ago? Could it be one of the ships from Zheng Han's fleet when he sailed to the South Seas?"

"If it really is a ship from Zheng Han's fleet, then there should be many antiques on board, right?"

"If this is a five-hundred-year-old shipwreck, then everything on board, including the shipwreck itself, is an antique."

Amidst everyone's excited discussions, Niu De also walked over.

He carefully observed the footage, and with everyone's guidance, he slowly found the bow, deck, hull, stern, and the initially discovered mast.

"It can be confirmed, this is a shipwreck filled with antiques," Niu De said, frowning.

"What should we do then? Should we notify the Antique Bureau?" Liu Xiaolin asked.

"Of course, we must notify the Antique Bureau. Any antiques found within Dragon Country's territory belong to the state," Niu De said, glancing at Liu Xiaolin with a smile. "Make the call quickly. Maybe our deep-sea submarine will have work soon."
