396: Director Tan’s evil idea?

“You mean Director Tan came up with this wicked idea?” Liu Xiaolin was greatly surprised.

“That’s right, Director Tan, in order to keep his position, gave Cai Chenghan this idea to push all the blame onto General Manager Hai,” Xiang Guangming said angrily. “I was against it at first, but Cai Chenghan threatened me, saying that if I didn’t do as he said, he would kick me out of Haizhe Technology. I’ve worked hard at Haizhe Technology for over ten years; it holds my efforts, and it’s a place where I prove to the world that I am capable. If I were kicked out, I would revert to being that guy who was ridiculed for living off a woman.”

“General Manager Han, what about you? Why did you agree? Didn’t you raise a lot of triad thugs?” Liu Xiaolin’s window of understanding was wide open, revealing a whole new perspective.

Han Xiaoguo’s face flushed upon hearing this, but she couldn’t get angry. “I was also threatened. Cai Chenghan said that if I didn’t listen to him, he would not only kick me out but also make my nephew get into a car accident. Think about it, how could I not listen? It would be one thing if I couldn’t stay at Haizhe Technology, but my nephew is the only male in our old Han family. How could I not care about him?”

“Yes, that’s why we all kept silent when General Manager Hai was wronged,” Xiang Guangming said guiltily. “I originally thought that tax evasion would at most involve paying the back taxes and then a sentence of two or three months, and then General Manager Hai would return and things would remain as they were, and we wouldn’t have any risks. Who knew, he was sentenced to three years.”

“I heard that Director Tan even went to the court and demanded a strict sentence, saying that they couldn’t show leniency just because it was a company under his jurisdiction,” Han Xiaoguo said. “It gave me a feeling that he wanted to kill General Manager Hai.”

“Later, he was indeed given a strict sentence,” Xiang Guangming said, frowning. “I inquired about other tax evasion cases, and they were all sentenced according to the lowest legal bracket, but General Manager Hai’s case was given the maximum sentence.”

“It wasn’t until yesterday, when Cai Chenghan held a meeting with us and mentioned recalling all of General Manager Hai’s dry shares, that I realized this was a harmful trick he and Director Tan were using to try and embezzle General Manager Hai’s shares, using this method to take advantage of the situation,” Han Xiaoguo said. “Although I’ve done some messy things with triad thugs, I still have a conscience. This Cai Chenghan and Director Tan are too heartless.”

“Yes, yesterday Cai Chenghan told us that he planned to reclaim General Manager Hai’s forty percent of dry shares, taking thirty percent for himself, and giving the remaining ten percent to Director Tan’s sister-in-law. This was essentially a disguised gift to Director Tan,” Xiang Guangming said. www.x33xs.com

“General Manager Xiang and I both disagreed,” Han Xiaoguo said. “Even if General Manager Hai is in prison, he is still a research expert. His shares are always his. As long as he doesn’t propose to withdraw, no one can take away his dry shares.”

“That’s what I said too,” Xiang Guangming said. “When we both stated our positions, Cai Chenghan started cursing and saying that General Manager Han and I were being uncooperative.”

“Yes, he said that Director Tan is now Deputy Mayor Tan, and dealing with us would be like dealing with two ants,” Han Xiaoguo said, extremely annoyed. “He has forgotten that he is a triad boss and thinks he can do whatever he wants just because he’s climbed up to deputy mayor.”

“So, what are your plans?” Liu Xiaolin asked. “You dared to break ties with him, do you already have some ideas?”

“We were both impulsive at the time and expressed our opposition, but we truly have no ideas,” Han Xiaoguo said dejectedly.

“So, after we found out who you were yesterday, we decided to come to you for ideas,” Xiang Guangming said. “We also deduced that your purpose for this trip was for Dr. Hai.”

“Oh? How did you deduce that?” Liu Xiaolin didn’t expect Xiang Guangming to be able to deduce his purpose.

“The Dragon Country Daily report also mentioned your subsequent technology research and development project, and I saw that it required an energy conversion expert, so I naturally understood,” Xiang Guangming said.

“Haha, it seems you two are smart people,” Liu Xiaolin thought to himself that he had originally planned to win these two over, and now it was thanks to Cai Chenghan that these two were pushed into his camp.

“We’ve long been fed up with Cai Chenghan’s arrogance, and we also find it unacceptable that someone like Director Tan could be promoted,” Xiang Guangming said. “Therefore, we trust you and are willing to work with you to eradicate the parasites of society.”

“Then do you have any evidence of Director Tan’s corruption?” Liu Xiaolin asked.

“Over the years, we would always give Director Tan large red envelopes, which were usually unregistered bank cards with amounts ranging from one hundred thousand to five hundred thousand yuan,” Xiang Guangming said.

“We sent them a few times a year, roughly one million yuan a year. It’s been twelve years now, so over ten million yuan has been given,” Xiang Guangming said.

“Do you have evidence?” Liu Xiaolin immediately became energized and asked.

“I recorded the card numbers and amounts I gave him, and I also photocopied the bank cards,” Xiang Guangming said. “Originally, they were for payment proof, but now they’ve become indirect evidence.”

“Very good, I find that you financial personnel are very reliable in your work, always focusing on evidence collection, haha,” Liu Xiaolin praised involuntarily.

“Is anyone else collecting evidence?” Xiang Guangming asked.

“Let me show you the evidence I’ve collected,” Liu Xiaolin said, taking out an envelope and pulling out a stack of documents. “This is a photocopy of the invoice application signed by Cai Chenghan, which can prove that General Manager Hai was not involved in the false invoicing at the time.”

“Ah? You actually found such important evidence? Cai Chenghan had ordered the destruction of all invoice applications signed by him!” Xiang Guangming was greatly surprised.

“Someone with a purpose kept them,” Liu Xiaolin said triumphantly.

“With this evidence, can we send Cai Chenghan to prison?” Han Xiaoguo asked excitedly.

“I don’t know if this evidence is sufficient yet, but I will meet with a lawyer tonight to discuss it,” Liu Xiaolin said. “General Manager Xiang, please make a copy of the evidence Cai Chenghan gave to Director Tan for me as well, and I will show it all to the lawyer then.”

“No problem, I don’t believe it. With so much evidence, we can’t rescue Dr. Hai and send Cai Chenghan in!” Xiang Guangming’s morale was greatly boosted, and he said confidently.

“Once Cai Chenghan is sent in, I will immediately have a lawyer apply to revoke his shares, citing his bribery and false accusations as reasons to question the legitimacy of his being a legal shareholder,” Liu Xiaolin continued. “Once his shares are revoked, you two and Dr. Hai can make new decisions based on your discussions.”
