110: Chapter 110 This is contempt for public property!

He pushed open the door to the washroom.

The environment here was just as dilapidated as the outside, with peeling wall plaster and rusted water pipes.

Principal Pang's gaze was immediately drawn to something on the floor in the corner.

It was a white ceramic sink.

Stamped with the Magic City Martial Arts University emblem, it was a high-end item purchased in bulk by the school.

But at this moment, it lay like an abandoned orphan, violently dismantled and left all alone in a stained corner, with several cracks running across it.

"Those wasteful students!"

Principal Pang was so angry that his beard bristled:

"They have a perfectly good, name-brand sink, and instead of using it, they rip it out and throw it on the floor?"

"Is this the quality of Class F? Is this contempt for public property?"

"Then what do they use to wash their faces normally? Do they dry-wash on that empty frame?"

While grumbling, Principal Pang shifted his gaze to the iron frame where the sink had originally been installed.

The next second.

His cursing came to an abrupt halt.

His expression shifted instantly from initial anger to... confusion.

He saw that the previously empty iron frame was now tightly holding a huge, dark green... "basin."

This "basin" had a peculiar shape; it was oval, made of a material that was neither gold nor jade, and exuded a sense of ancient, heavy texture.

It was covered in circles of mysterious and intricate patterns, faintly emitting a warm, gentle luster under the dim light.

The faucet was positioned perfectly over the center of this "basin," which was filled with half a basin of clear water, so clear you could see to the bottom.

Beside it, very down-to-earth, sat a bar of Shufu Jia soap.

"Huh?"

Principal Pang paused, then a look of unexpected appreciation appeared on his face:

"Is this... is this a new washbasin?"

"Interesting."

Principal Pang walked up and reached out to touch the edge of the "basin."

It felt warm and smooth to the touch, with excellent texture, and even carried a hint of coolness that was refreshing.

"Good stuff!"

"This texture, these patterns... it looks like some kind of antique? Or perhaps an antique-style art piece?"

Principal Pang couldn't help but nod, his previous anger dissipating quite a bit:

"Who would have thought, these little rascals in Class F, although they usually act out, their taste... is actually quite unique?"

"They don't use the modern industrial ceramic basin, but specifically went and got this retro-style one?"

"Classy! Just like me when I was young, sophisticated!"

As Principal Pang sighed in admiration, he turned on the faucet.

"Splash—"

The clear stream of water washed against the bottom of the dark green basin, making a crisp, melodious sound, as if playing a musical piece.

Principal Pang contentedly cupped a handful of water and washed his face thoroughly.

"Whew... refreshing!"

"The water feels even cooler being held in this basin!"

Principal Pang wiped the water droplets from his face, in a great mood.

He lowered his head, intending to take a closer look at this "artistic washbasin" that had impressed him.

His fingers gently stroked the patterns along the basin wall.

"These patterns... they're carved so well, they look real."

"This texture feels exactly like touching Old Xuan's turtle shell!"

"Sigh, it's all that detestable Faceless Man's fault; Old Xuan's shell is still missing to this day..."

Principal Pang's fingers suddenly stopped.

His brows furrowed slightly, and a flash of confusion crossed his eyes.

"Something's wrong!"

"This sink..."

Principal Pang's breathing began to quicken.

An extremely absurd, yet terrifying suspicion, like a venomous snake, suddenly struck his heart.

With trembling hands, he took his reading glasses from his pocket and put them on.

Although Principal Pang had excellent vision and the reading glasses were usually just an accessory to make him look kinder and more approachable, the current situation was too bizarre; he needed to see more clearly!

Principal Pang pressed his face almost against the "washbasin," staring intently at an inconspicuous mark in the very center of the basin bottom.

It was a small "Pang" character he had personally carved with spiritual energy back in the day to prevent Old Xuan from getting lost.

Although slightly covered by soap foam, it was still clearly visible!

Boom!!!!

Like a thunderbolt from the blue!

Principal Pang's brain exploded in that instant.

In that second, his expression went through the entire process from appreciation, to confusion, to shock, to disbelief, and finally... complete collapse.

His hand trembled violently as he pointed at the "basin" still holding half a basin of face-washing water, his lips quivering as if electrocuted:

"Who... who the hell did this!"

"My Old Xuan!!!!"

A shrill, heart-wrenching roar, filled with endless grief and heartbreak, instantly pierced through the roof of the washroom and echoed throughout the entire Magic City Martial Arts University!

"Who!!!"

"Who took the shell of my Fourth-Order spirit beast, the Xuan Water Turtle..."

"And used it as a washbasin!!!!"

"And put Shufu Jia in it, for God's sake!!!!"

Principal Pang's vision went black; he almost fainted from anger on the spot.

He had finally found the stolen goods.

But he wished he hadn't.

Because this sight made him ten thousand times more devastated than not finding it at all!

This was his—and the entire Magic City Martial Arts University's—dignity... being rubbed into the dirt!

"Investigate!!!"

"Find out for me!!!"

"Who on earth put this shell here!"

"I will tear him to pieces!!!"

...

Deep in the Mist Swamp, in a marsh five kilometers away from the cozy cabin.

"Huff... huff..."

Two disheveled figures were sprinting for their lives.

Plum Blossom Three and Diamond Five wished they could grow an extra pair of legs right now. They dared not look back, fearing that the terrifying girl in pink pajamas would catch up.

"Damn it!"

Diamond Five clutched his arm, which had been shattered and was hanging limply at his side. Tears and snot streaming down his face from the pain, he cursed while running:

"This is too bullying! This is really too bullying!"

"I am a dignified Peak Fourth-Order, worshipped wherever I go! Today, I actually had to serve dishes and chop pickles for someone? And got criticized for my poor knife skills?"

Plum Blossom Three also had a look of resentment, gritting his teeth as he said:

"Enough! Stop whining!"

"As long as we're alive, that's a victory! Our top priority now is to get out of this hellhole!"

"Once we leave the instance and contact headquarters, we'll bring people back to slaughter those two bastards!"

Diamond Five wanted to continue complaining, but he suddenly noticed something wrong and asked suspiciously:

"Brother Three, am I seeing things? Why do I feel like we're running in place?"

Plum Blossom Three was still anxiously looking back, worried that the Tier 5 Great Demon had actually followed them.

"Shut up! Don't scare yourself!"

"This is the characteristic of the Mist Swamp! Geomagnetic chaos!"

"As long as we keep running forward, we'll definitely be able to... Ouch!"

Before he could finish his sentence, Plum Blossom Three's head suddenly hit what felt like an invisible wall, making a dull "thud," and he was bounced back into the mud.

"What is that?!"

The two were horrified and stood back-to-back, looking ahead vigilantly.

They saw that the previously empty marsh suddenly rippled with a strange distortion.

Suddenly, the surrounding space twisted without warning.

It was like a mirror being punched hard; the original normal mist scene shattered instantly, replaced by a gray, lifeless, void space.

Immediately after.

An oppressive feeling, cold, damp, and carrying a heavy scent of decay, descended slowly like a great mountain.

"Hiss—"

A hiss, extremely faint yet clearly drilling into their very marrow, echoed.

The sound didn't seem to be by their ears, but rather echoing in the depths of their souls.

"Who?"

Plum Blossom Three gripped the poison dart in his hand, his voice trembling:

"Man or ghost? Come out!"

"We are high-ranking members of the Wusheng Divine Sect! Don't play tricks!"

From the void space came a chuckle full of mockery and disdain.

"Hehehe..."

"Wusheng Divine Sect?"

"High-ranking members?"

The voice was hoarse and low, as if an old man who hadn't spoken for a long time was trying to adapt to the vibration of his vocal cords:

"Is that what you call... high-ranking members who serve tea and water, bowing and scraping before that human student?"

"Or do you mean... the high-ranking member who was slapped into the wall and couldn't even be pried out?"
