20: Chapter 20 The Perfect Salted Fish Plan

West of the city, the Black Tiger Gang headquarters.

This was one of the largest underground forces in Jiangcheng, heavily guarded.

However, tonight, they encountered a dimensional strike on a physical level.

In the surveillance room, a few henchmen watched the screen, so scared that their cigarettes dropped.

"B...Boss! Look at that black shadow!"

"He didn't use the door! He jumped straight over the three-meter-high wall! And he didn't make a single sound when he landed!"

On the screen.

Jiang You, wearing a faceless mask, passed by the two Tibetan Mastiffs in the courtyard.

The Tibetan Mastiffs were just about to bark.

The [Brain] released a trace of pure predator aura.

The two Tibetan Mastiffs instantly tucked their tails, whimpered, and rolled over on their backs to play dead.

Jiang You walked straight into the Great Hall.

There sat a black stone half the height of a person, with strange red patterns on its surface, faintly emitting heat.

This was the Black Tiger Gang's treasure—the [Scarlet Flame Meteorite].

It was said that its hardness was comparable to diamonds, and even a laser cutter couldn't cut it.

Jiang You walked up to the meteorite.

[stomach]: "Wow! This heat! This texture! This is a natural high-energy mineral!"

"Although I haven't awakened my Supernatural Ability yet, this magnetic field energy smells delicious!"

[Right Hand]: "This thing is too heavy, we don't have space equipment to take it away."

[stomach]: "Can't take it away? Then eat it on the spot! Eat as much as you can!"

Thus, the people in the surveillance room witnessed a scene that shattered their worldview.

The faceless freak did not move the meteorite.

Instead, he lay on the meteorite, opened his mouth, and revealed a set of stark white teeth.

"Crunch!"

A teeth-grinding, crisp sound.

It was just like biting into an apple.

That meteorite, which even lasers couldn't cut, had a corner bitten off by the freak!

"Gulp."

He swallowed it.

Inside the surveillance room.

The Black Tiger Gang boss clutched his Heart: "He... he ate it? He ate the meteorite?"

"That's iron for f***'s sake! Does he have diamond-encrusted teeth?"

Jiang You ate with relish.

[stomach]: "Hmm, the texture is a bit like harder chocolate, just a bit dry."

"One more bite! The red patterns on this have the highest energy!"

Crunch! Crunch!

In just five minutes, the majestic treasure meteorite was gnawed into a pitted mess by Jiang You, looking like a rotten potato chewed on by a dog.

Finally, Jiang You burped.

"Burp~"

"Full. The rest is just impurities, not tasty."

Jiang You stood up, disdainfully brushed the dust off the meteorite, turned, and disappeared into the night.

The Black Tiger Gang boss trembled, holding the pitted, tooth-marked Scarlet Flame Meteorite, crying like a two-hundred-pound child.

"What a sin!!"

The boss pointed at the tooth marks, screaming in a breakdown: "Is this something a human would do? Stealing money I can understand, stealing gold I can tolerate, but he climbed over the wall in the middle of the night... just to grind his teeth?"

"Look at these tooth marks! One bite and he even chewed out the sparks! Is he a hippopotamus spirit?"

The henchman next to him shrank his neck and said weakly:

"Boss, think on the bright side... at least it means our meteorite tastes okay? It's not all impurities?"

"Get out!!!"

...

The next morning.

Zijin Villa, Villa No. 8.

Jiang You was woken up by a sore ache in his teeth.

That feeling was like having stayed up all night opening five hundred bottles of beer with his teeth, and even the muscles in his cheeks were cramping.

"Hiss... ouch, my teeth."

Jiang You held his cheek and walked into the bathroom, picking up his toothbrush.

After brushing for just two strokes, he felt like something hard was stuck between his teeth.

He pried it out with force.

"Ding!"

A small piece of black metal debris was spat out, landing in the expensive ceramic sink, making a crisp clinking sound.

This sound was a bit off.

Jiang You looked down, and the glaze of the sink... had actually been dented with a white mark by that tiny piece of debris?

Jiang You: "!!!"

He stared at the slightly cracked sink, and his whole being cracked.

The next second, a pig-slaughtering scream echoed in the villa:

"Holy f***!! A stone!!"

"I spat out a stone! And it's made of iron!!"

"Doctor! I need a doctor! Do I have some kind of steel gallstones?"

Jiang You opened his mouth wide in terror in front of the mirror, using a flashlight to shine into his throat: "It's over, it's over, I must have ruined my stomach eating takeout lately, I can even grow metal..."

"If this were any bigger, wouldn't I have died on the spot?"

After fussing for a long time, until he was sure his teeth hadn't fallen out and he wasn't spitting blood, Jiang You nervously flushed the "stone" down the drain.

"Scared the hell out of me. From now on, I will never eat those hard snacks again, especially that chocolate from yesterday, it was as hard as iron, zero stars!"

...

Time was like the drool that flowed out while Jiang You slept, unknowingly pooling on the floor.

In the following days, the atmosphere in Jiangcheng became heavier day by day.

Patrol cars on the streets increased, internet cafes closed, and even the wild dogs on the roadside didn't dare to bark, fearing it would disturb the students studying.

The day before the College Entrance Examination.

Jiangcheng No. 1 High School, Class 2, Grade 3.

The countdown on the blackboard finally turned into a bright red "One Day."

The air was filled with a sense of tragic solemnity.

The homeroom teacher, Baldy Wang, stood on the podium, still holding that paint-chipped thermos.

But today he wasn't scolding anyone, nor was he spitting.

He looked at the group of students he had accompanied for three years, his eyes unexpectedly gentle.

Although, to Jiang You, it was a bit creepy.

"Students."

Baldy Wang put down the thermos, his voice low:

"I won't feed you any unnecessary chicken soup; drinking too much makes you nauseous."

"I called you all here today to emphasize only one last thing, which is also the most important thing!"

He tapped on a line of text on the blackboard:

[Tonight at 24:00, the College Entrance Examination registration and application system will officially close!]

"Whether you are just applying to some easy-to-get-into colleges, or you want to aim for those top-tier Supernatural Ability academies."

"Go back tonight, be sure to log in to the official website, confirm your personal information, and check your intended applications!"

"Remember! This is your ticket! If you don't fill this out, even if your blood-qi value is ten thousand tomorrow, you won't be able to enter the exam hall!"

Baldy Wang paused, his gaze sweeping across the whole class, finally stopping on Jiang You, who was sleeping in the last row, and emphasized:

"Especially some students who are usually quite 'casual'! Don't oversleep tonight! Don't lose your ID! Don't forget your password!"

"Only by registering can you have a future! Do you understand?"

The whole class roared in unison: "Understood!!"

The massive sound wave finally woke Jiang You up.

"Hmm? What?"

Jiang You lifted his head groggily, with the creases of his sleeve still imprinted on his face.

"What registration? Registration for supermarket discounts?"

His deskmate pushed him helplessly: "Brother Jiang, wake up. The teacher said the College Entrance Examination registration deadline is tonight, and told you to remember to fill out your applications when you get home, otherwise you won't have a school to go to."

"Oh... the College Entrance Examination registration."

Jiang You yawned, his eyes instantly becoming clear and disdainful.

"What a hassle."

"Gotta fill out forms, gotta choose schools, gotta take exams... after this whole process, how much sleep will I lose."

He glanced at the passionate Baldy Wang on the podium, then thought of that so-called "top scorer reward."

"Working myself to death for a little reward is not worth it, not worth it at all."

"If I have the time, I'd rather lie down in Villa No. 8 for a while longer."

The school bell rang.

Jiang You shouldered his empty backpack (which only contained a pillow) and walked out of the classroom slowly.

At this moment, he already had an extremely "perfect and slacker" plan in his Heart.
