32: Chapter 32 This is our school's top-performing student admitted through the guaranteed admission program.
"Ah!!!" Patriarch Zhao let out a short, terrified scream, his whole body trembling violently as he tried to shrink back.
But he forgot that he was still embedded in the wall.
This movement only wedged him in tighter.
"Don't... don't kill me..."
Patriarch Zhao was streaming with tears, his psychological defenses completely shattered: "I was wrong... I was really wrong... I shouldn't have poisoned you... I shouldn't have fired arrows..."
Jiang You frowned and reached out to touch Patriarch Zhao's forehead, looking regretful:
"It's over. This uncle has been scared silly too."
"What kind of nonsense are you spouting? What poisoning and shooting arrows? Did you watch too many historical dramas last night?"
Jiang You sighed and tried to pry Patriarch Zhao out of the wall:
"Uncle, don't be afraid, I'm Jiang You! I'm your son's classmate!"
"The police will be here soon, just hang in there."
"Come, let me give you a hand."
As he spoke, Jiang You grabbed one of Patriarch Zhao's arms.
[Right Hand]:
"Huh? This wall is a bit tight? I'll need to use some strength."
"Up!"
Jiang You used just a little bit of force.
"Crack."
A crisp sound rang out.
Patriarch Zhao's shoulder dislocated.
"Aoooooo—!!!"
Patriarch Zhao let out a scream even more miserable than the one from last night, rolled his eyes back, and fainted again, very cleanly and neatly.
This time he was truly unconscious, escaping reality.
Jiang You looked at the limp arm in his hand, then back at the re-fainted Patriarch Zhao, scratching his head with an innocent face:
"He fainted just like that?"
"Is this uncle's osteoporosis that severe? I didn't even use any force?"
"Forget it, let him sleep for a while. Maybe it won't hurt once he's asleep."
Jiang You jumped down from the broken wall and brushed the dust off his hands.
At this moment, his stomach growled again.
"Gurgle—"
Although he had eaten quite a bit last night, after a night of "high-intensity demolition exercise," his energy had long since been depleted.
Jiang You walked around the ruins, trying to find any surviving food.
Finally, under an overturned table, he found a plate of Australian lobster that, while covered in a bit of dust, was still intact.
There was also half a bottle of Erguotou that hadn't been broken.
Jiang You's eyes lit up. He didn't mind the dirt, blew off the dust, and sat down right next to the unconscious Zhao Tai.
"Phew, good, breakfast is sorted."
And so.
Five minutes later, when over a dozen police cars roared into Zijin Villa and SWAT teams in full gear rushed into the scene, they saw an extremely bizarre scene:
In the center of the ruins, which looked as if it had been bombed by missiles.
Dozens of burly men were lying scattered on the ground, their status unknown.
The only survivor was a teenager in pajamas, sitting on a pile of rubble, holding a lobster claw in one hand and Erguotou in the other, eating breakfast in a leisurely manner.
Seeing the police arrive, the teenager not only wasn't afraid but instead raised the lobster claw in his hand and waved enthusiastically:
"Uncle Policeman! Over here! Over here!"
"Um... have you eaten yet? If not, there's still half a shrimp here, it's quite fresh!"
The SWAT team leader leading the group looked at this scene, stumbled, and nearly dropped his walkie-talkie.
He swallowed hard and reported with difficulty into the microphone:
"Command Center... the situation at the scene... is a bit complicated."
"The suspect... no, the victim... is currently eating seafood."
"Current emotional state... very stable."
Above the ruins of Villa No. 9 in Zijin Villa.
The morning breeze carried dust and a strong smell of Erguotou.
SWAT team leader Wang Gang looked at this scene before him, feeling that his twenty-year police career had been severely challenged.
He looked at the burly men in black, stacked on top of each other like an arhat, covered in fractures, and then at Patriarch Zhao embedded in the wall like a mural.
Finally, his gaze landed on the teenager sitting on the pile of rubble, innocently sucking on a lobster claw.
"Slurp—"
Jiang You sucked the last bit of shrimp meat into his mouth and, still unsatisfied, stuffed the hard lobster shell into his mouth, chewing it into pieces like potato chips before swallowing.
Wang Gang's eyelids twitched wildly.
That was an Australian lobster claw shell, right?
That thing is hard enough to be used as a weapon, and you just swallowed it raw?
"Um... this student."
Wang Gang swallowed and placed his hand on the holster at his waist.
"Please put down the... large claw in your hand. Cooperate with our investigation."
"You said you are the victim?"
Jiang You quickly threw away the remaining half of the shrimp shell, raised his oil-stained hands, and said with an air of righteousness: "Absolutely the victim!"
"Uncle Policeman, I'm a resident of Villa No. 8 next door, and also a candidate for this year's College Entrance Examination. I was invited by classmate Zhao Tai to attend a teacher-appreciation banquet last night."
"But this family is outrageous! That was fake alcohol! I only drank a few cups and lost consciousness!"
"When I woke up, it had turned into this!"
Jiang You pointed at the mess all over the floor, looking heartbroken:
"This is a serious public security incident! I suspect the Zhao family is involved in organized crime! Or perhaps their illegally stored explosives went off!"
"Look at that uncle, he even flew into the wall. Is this something a normal human being could do?"
Wang Gang frowned and signaled his subordinates to check the scene.
Soon, a team member ran over to report, his expression grave:
"Captain! The situation is not right!"
"We found dozens of illegal military armor-piercing crossbows under the ruins, along with a large number of controlled knives!"
"And these people... seem to be black market thugs on the wanted list!"
Wang Gang's eyes narrowed.
Illegally storing military weapons? Colluding with wanted criminals?
This was no longer a simple public security case; this was a major case!
His look at Jiang You changed.
If the Zhao family really hid so many desperate criminals and weapons, then this seemingly frail student surviving this firefight was simply a miracle!
Or rather... was his luck just off the charts?
"Student, you really didn't see anything?" Wang Gang asked tentatively.
Jiang You shook his head like a rattle:
"Didn't see anything! I sleep heavily, I wouldn't even hear thunder."
"It's just that in my dream, I seemed to be working in a demolition crew. It was quite tiring."
Just then, a familiar black sedan broke through the police cordon and braked sharply beside the ruins.
Teacher Gu Yan rushed down, covered in sweat.
"Jiang You! Jiang You, are you okay?!"
Seeing Jiang You in the ruins, Teacher Gu Yan's heart nearly jumped out of his chest.
The more he thought about it after going back last night, the more wrong it felt. When he heard something had happened here this morning, he was scared out of his wits.
If anything happened to this precious kid Jiang You, Teacher Shen Qing would peel his skin off!
"Teacher Gu Yan!"
Seeing his backer arrive, Jiang You immediately shouted aggrievedly: "You finally came! This Zhao family is too deceptive!"
"I was invited to dinner, and halfway through, the house collapsed! It scared me to death!"
Teacher Gu Yan looked at the tragic scene around him, his eye twitching wildly.
The house collapsed?
This was clearly violently demolished, okay!
This technique... why is it so similar to that obsidian shattered yesterday?
Teacher Gu Yan took a deep breath, immediately took out his ID from Magic City Martial Arts University, and said to Wang Gang: "Officer, I am the Director of the Admissions Office of Magic City No.1 Martial Arts University. This is our school's key recommended student."
"I can guarantee that he is just an innocent student. Since you found illegal weapons, that is the Zhao family's problem. Can you hand the student over to me first? The College Entrance Examination results just came out yesterday, and the child has been traumatized; he needs to go back to check his scores."
Wang Gang glanced at the ID, then at Jiang You, who looked "traumatized" and was still picking his teeth.
Although he felt something was wrong, the logic was sound.
A student who had just finished the College Entrance Examination couldn't possibly have wiped out fifty armed thugs, right? That would be too sci-fi.
"Fine. Since he is from Magic City Martial Arts University, you can take him away first."
Wang Gang waved his hand, then ordered his subordinates: "Handcuff this group of people! Pry that one embedded in the wall out too! Suspected of illegally storing military weapons, take them all away!"
...
Ten minutes later.
Villa No. 8.
Jiang You took a shower, changed into clean pajamas, and curled up comfortably on the sofa.
Teacher Gu Yan sat opposite him, staring at him with suspicion.
"Jiang You, tell me honestly."
Teacher Gu Yan pointed to the smoking ruins next door: "That really... wasn't done by you?"
Jiang You held half a watermelon in his hands, scooped a spoonful into his mouth, and said vaguely: "Teacher Gu Yan, you overestimate me."
"I blacked out from drinking. Besides, if I had that ability, why would I bother taking exams? Wouldn't it be better to just go be a superhero and save the world?"
Teacher Gu Yan sighed.
That was true.
One person taking on fifty dead soldiers armed with armor-piercing crossbows? Even a Tier 4 Martial Artist would lose a layer of skin.
Jiang You didn't even have a scratch on him; it really wasn't scientific.
"Forget it, as long as you're okay, that's all that matters."
