103: Allies and delicious cake
Tu Nan followed Kong Jiamu's gaze to Lance, who was lounging lazily on her sofa, and her heart skipped a beat.
It was indeed a very ambiguous scene.
Yet this person, enjoying the chaos, innocently asked Tu Nan, "If I had known Colonel Kong was coming, I wouldn't have stayed so long. Do you two have business? Should I leave then?"
Kong Jiamu had never suffered this kind of Qi.
He stood up straight, the expression on his face gradually withdrawing, and his pale blue eyes slowly moved to Tu Nan, fixing on her.
"Wrong door." With a slight lift of his chin and a cold sneer, he turned to leave.
A pair of hands grabbed the sleeve of the arm holding the flowers.
Kong Jiamu did not want to lose control of his emotions in front of others; it would make him seem too "tasteless," which was clearly something he could not accept.
"Young Miss, your hand seems to be in the wrong place," he began his sharp-tongued retort. "Please educate it."
He lifted his hand, signaling Tu Nan to let go herself.
How could Tu Nan possibly let go? She had spent so much effort and finally made some headway in conquering this difficult problem; would she let this Peacock go now?
She gave a low, soft laugh. Not only did she not let go, but she also leaned forward and grabbed Kong Jiamu's other hand. In this posture, Tu Nan was essentially lightly embracing the man before her.
See... this Peacock didn't actually dodge, did he?
Tu Nan's eyes flickered with a certain confidence. She let out a soft hum from her nose and asked in a drawn-out tone, "Are you... unhappy?"
After speaking, Tu Nan looked up at him with a half-smile.
It made Kong Jiamu laugh from the Qi.
He had truly never seen a Female Beast so lacking in decorum. Even a game should have some rules; did this Female Beast expect him to just close his eyes in such a situation?
He simply hadn't eaten her yet; it wasn't as if he truly lacked Female Beasts!
He tried to shake her off, but Tu Nan went even further, hugging his waist and turning back to call out to that Pretty Boy, "Come over and explain."
Tu Nan glared at Lance.
Lance watched Tu Nan's excellent performance with great interest, stretched, stood up, and sauntered to the door with a helpless sigh.
"Oh, you... you're so willing to cast me aside for our Colonel Kong..."
Listen to that! What did Pearl see in this person? Was he to continue standing here and humiliating himself?
Kong Jiamu felt an unspeakable shame, an indignation at the fact that he was still standing there instead of leaving.
He wanted to kick this Rake's head in!
"Sigh, I'm a Female Beast." His movements were frozen in place by those words, and then that person actually grabbed his hand and pressed it against her chest.
"Female... understand? Can you Male Beasts stop being so suspicious all the time, hmm?"
Lance watched with a grin as Kong Jiamu retracted his hand in shock, then stared at her blankly for a long time before suddenly snapping back to his senses and looking at Tu Nan.
"Pearl..." He didn't know what to say.
Apologize? Thinking carefully, whether it was being angry or apologizing, he had no real standing; he had truly let his anger get the better of him just now.
Fortunately, Tu Nan didn't let him feel awkward for too long; she pouted her lips and whispered.
"I understand."
Tu Nan's eyes shimmered with deep meaning, and Kong Jiamu finally felt completely at ease, regaining his usual confident Aura.
He handed the flowers to Tu Nan and then apologized to Lance, "I've offended you, I'm very sorry."
"I don't care about that," Lance shrugged indifferently.
Kong Jiamu had originally wanted to ask Tu Nan out for a private dinner, but it didn't seem appropriate today, so he immediately found another excuse.
"Where are the Children? I happen to be free; shall I take them to practice for a while?"
As long as she didn't let this Peacock fly away in anger, of course he could. For their mother's life, the Children would probably be willing to study hard.
Tu Nan happily threw the two Fluffies to Kong Jiamu and let him take them away.

Only two people remained in the room. Lance lay down on the sofa without any hesitation, and Tu Nan, the host... influenced by her, actually sat cross-legged on the rug in front of the sofa.
Tu Nan had many questions she wanted to continue asking, like what the Children had mentioned before.
"Where did you catch those two?" Tu Nan asked. "I saw you coming in with such an aggressive Aura, I thought you were here to complain?"
Lance waved her hand. "Not to complain, just to come and see what kind of parent such bold Children have."
She winked at Tu Nan.
"I knew that Children who could sneak into the Armory must have a fierce mother, and sure enough... tsk tsk tsk."
Tu Nan pretended she had just found out about this.
"Armory?" She frowned. "How did the Children end up there? Why didn't the staff manage the access control properly?"
She was actually genuinely worried about whether the ship's security was too lax. Anyone could just take a stroll in the Armory. She looked at Lance suspiciously.
"And how did you..."
Lance pulled out a card, waved it before her eyes, and tucked it back into her inner pocket.
"A little bit of tech, nothing major." She was completely nonchalant, grinning.
"I just went to take a look, just a look. I didn't touch anything." She complained a bit, "Those people look at me like I'm a thief, telling me to stay away from all the weapons... Is it really necessary? Look, I went down for a stroll and nothing happened, right?"
If others strictly forbid it, there's probably a reason. Tu Nan thought that the reason nothing happened just now was likely because she hadn't picked any locks.
"If you have a criminal record, I suggest you don't mess around," Tu Nan said with a stern face. "I don't want any accidents while we're in Space."
Lance rolled her eyes.
But she immediately flashed a mischievous smile, sat up, and nudged Tu Nan.
"Hey, what's going on between you and Kong Jiamu?"
Tu Nan replied casually, "What else could it be? It's just that thing between men and women. With a Male Beast like Kong Jiamu, isn't it natural for me to be attracted to him and fall in love?"
"What? You think I'm not worthy?" Tu Nan curled her lip.
Lance arched an eyebrow and smiled without a word, staring at Tu Nan until she felt uneasy.
"There's no point in lying to me, after all, people like us..." She shook her head and gave a self-deprecating laugh, "Can we even fall in love with anyone?"
She leaned in close to Tu Nan, staring intently into her eyes.
"Babe~ Have you looked at your own eyes? Tell me, which part of the desire in there is about love for a Male Beast?"
"Only those high and mighty Male Beasts would fail to see it," she laughed wickedly.
"You can't lie to me, and you can't lie to yourself."
Tu Nan was pinned in place by her rapid-fire words.
"What? She thought she had acted well enough."
Had she really been seen through?
"Love...? What kind of interstellar joke is that?" Lance drawled in a long, syrupy tone. "Babe, wanting to sleep with a Male Beast and falling in love with one are not the same thing."
"Our lives have been arranged enough already; isn't it better to be honest with yourself?"
"So... what are you really after?"
Tu Nan gave a relaxed smile.
"Why be so naked about it? Don't you think a top-tier specimen like Kong Jiamu is like a beautiful cake on a table? Anyone qualified to get close would want a bite."
Besides, she had a reason why she absolutely had to eat him.
Tu Nan suddenly realized something.
That's right... Lance could help her, help her eat that delicious dessert.
