90: Please let virtuous wives and loving mothers fall into depravity.
This was the identity Tu Nan had designed for herself.
A betrayed noble lady. With Children, burdened by inescapable responsibilities, craving passion yet needing no accountability.
From chaste to wanton, this kind of thrill was the most suitable way to approach Kong Jiamu on this journey.
Although she didn't know why Kong Jiamu could actually recognize her when she had changed so much, wasn't this even better? A lady who could appear at a Sand City banquet was equivalent to adding an endorsement to her noble identity.
And the fact that Kong Jiamu recognized her on his own, and found her himself, made it even more wonderful.
People always believe more in the truth they discover themselves.
Tu Nan kept a cold face, yet extended her hand toward him.
That peacock chuckled as he pulled her to her feet, then complimented her very straightforwardly.
"If losing a husband could result in such a level of beauty enhancement like yours... then I must say, all the husbands in the world are in danger."
Even Tu Nan almost failed to keep a straight face.
Did this person think he would never have the status of a husband in his lifetime? His joking was completely uninhibited.
Tu Nan wore a soft, light-gold evening gown that fit perfectly, neither too tight nor too loose, capturing a balance between sexiness and casualness. Her brows and eyes were drawn sharply, a defense mechanism after being hurt.
But as she gently bit her lip, she appeared all the more lovable.
Truly contradictory.
Tu Nan rose with his help, but did not accept his invitation to dance. She turned and leaned against the second-floor railing, looking toward the hall that had become a dance floor.
A flash of white flickered before Kong Jiamu's eyes.
Tu Nan's gown had the entire back cut out... held only by thin metal chains. As she turned, her waist revealed two shallow, cute dimples, and further down... the evocative upper curve of her buttocks was faintly visible.
The Female Beast didn't care at all, as she leaned against the railing.
Suddenly, she spoke.
"Do you know? For the first twenty years, my goal was to become a true virtuous wife and mother; entertainment like dancing was never on my learning list."
"Even when my mother asked me to learn, I refused. So now, I don't know how to do it at all."
She suddenly turned to the side and smiled at Kong Jiamu.
"If you want to invite me to dance, then you need to teach me first. What do you think? Colonel Kong."
Her smile was full of provocation and teasing? Kong Jiamu suddenly turned to the side and laughed out loud. So... this Female Beast wasn't really unaware of her own beauty at all?
She knew it all too well; the makeup she chose, the clothes she picked, the words she said, were all a signal, a temptation.
"I want to know, my lady. If I hadn't come up, who were you planning to find to teach you how to dance?" He asked with great interest.
"Call me Pearl." Tu Nan extended her hand toward Kong Jiamu, "There are no ifs; my luck has already hit rock bottom, so I deserve a reward from fate."
She said, slightly lifting her chin, not without pride.
"You must be the best one here."
Kong Jiamu accepted the compliment. He kissed the back of Tu Nan's hand, then offered her his arm, leading her slowly downstairs.
The envious gazes and inquisitive whispers of the Males downstairs confirmed it for him too—this Pearl was also the most beautiful one here.
But immediately, he couldn't laugh anymore.
"...It's three steps forward, one step back, then turn." He struggled to maintain his smile, bowing his head to teach her once again by Tu Nan's cat ears.
His shoes had already been stepped on several times.
So Pearl really didn't know how to dance? Unbelievable.
Tu Nan looked at him innocently, righteous and confident.
"I told you I didn't know how... You aren't going to go back on a promise like this, are you?" She eyed Kong Jiamu suspiciously.
"Is it that you don't know how to teach?" Her eyes searched the dance floor, "Don't be discouraged; maybe you're just the type who lacks expressive ability; I'll change to someone else to teach me."
The hand on her waist tightened. Kong Jiamu threatened her in a low voice: "Do you want me to throw you out right now? Hmm? No one has ever been able to snatch a dance partner away from me."
Tu Nan blinked and suggested to him: "Everyone has a first time; if it doesn't work, it doesn't work, that's nothing."
Kong Jiamu's smile stiffened a bit.
Tu Nan's gaze had clearly shifted to someone else, a tall, young, and passionate Lion-tribe Male Beast.
"Ah... I think young people might have better patience, and his arms are very strong too. You..." Tu Nan stopped mid-sentence.
Kong Jiamu was wearing a long white formal coat again today; he seemed to really like light-colored clothes. Although this suited his dark green hair very well, it did make him appear somewhat effeminate and gorgeous.
Only slightly, but compared to that Lion-tribe Male Beast who was perhaps just over twenty, it lacked a bit of masculinity.
Kong Jiamu let out a cold snort from his nostrils.
He realized he was being led on a bit by Pearl, which wasn't quite right; mainly because this Female Beast was too infuriating. It was as if once she decided to cast aside her status and indulge herself, she had thrown away all her previous constraints.
So he became patient again. He lowered his eyes and asked: "There are too many people here, and the music keeps changing; why not... find a quiet place, and I'll teach you alone?"
Here it comes. The string in Tu Nan's mind was plucked. She lowered her head, seemingly deep in thought, but in reality, she had long decided not to let Kong Jiamu succeed so easily.
If she were eaten up today, by tomorrow this game might be over in this Male Beast's eyes.
So she just looked up in surprise.
"Alone?" She sized up Kong Jiamu's face thoughtfully for a moment, then pondered carefully for a bit, while incidentally stepping on his foot apologetically.
Then she refused him.
"Not today, I promised Huai En I would go back to sleep with her." Tu Nan said.
Huai En? Kong Jiamu's eyes contained a question.
Tu Nan glanced at the clock; indeed, the time had reached ten o'clock, and the real nightlife was only just beginning.
She sighed and stopped in the middle of the dance floor.
"Huai En, my daughter." Tu Nan smiled gently.
All the aggression from just moments ago, that unintentionally revealed temptation, had been completely reined in; this young Female Beast seemed to have transformed back into a mother under a magic wand.
"Letting go of everything is really hard..." She felt a bit melancholy, but immediately cheered up and arranged with Kong Jiamu: "Teach me tomorrow? I'll come out after I coax her to sleep."
Kong Jiamu stared at her.
What a changeable Female Beast.
He seemed to have landed exactly on a subtle turning point in the other person's life.
But on second thought, wasn't this even more interesting?
From a virtuous wife and mother to a femme fatale?
He could personally make her bloom, make her become more gorgeous, and mold her into someone enchanting; this was indeed a rare form of entertainment on this journey.
