"Then I'll go back and make the medicine."

Ready to stir up trouble, Lance was beaming with excitement and jumped up, wanting to head back to her room.

"What's the rush?"

Now that everything was taking shape, Tu Nan calmed down instead, pulling her back with a smile.

"Have you ever thought about whether Kong Jiamu will retaliate after being drugged? It wouldn't be hard to track down a Pharmacist on a flight. Besides, wasn't your luggage inspected when you boarded? Are you planning to dump all your potions and herbs into space to destroy the evidence?"

"Oh, right," Lance said, starting to worry.

Sigh, she often caused a burst of trouble only to leave a trail of problems behind. Her "mother" was always driven to fits of rage by her, saying someone always had to clean up her mess and never allowing her to go out alone.

If she hadn't tricked that big idiot into missing the spaceship, she wouldn't have had such a carefree month.

But there were downsides; stirring up trouble wasn't safe anymore.

Pearl was still watching her with a smile when a lightbulb went off in Lance's head. She was being silly; wasn't there a perfectly cautious person right here? Meticulous, bold, and decisive—she was the perfect partner... With a mischievous chuckle, she pulled Tu Nan into her arms.

"Alright, stop being mysterious. Isn't this all to help you? Quick! What else did you think of?"

Tu Nan gave a wicked smile.

"I have a suitable candidate to take the fall... it just needs a bit of maneuvering. Let's split up."

She broke down the plan for Lance, whose eyes grew brighter and brighter. Lance nodded frantically in admiration and thumped her chest, agreeing to the plan.

Tu Nan high-fived her.

"Here's to a successful fishing trip!"

Lance curled her lip. "What fishing... you should say, here's to successfully trapping the pigs."

Tu Nan almost couldn't suppress her smile; she had guessed Lance's beast form.

***

Lance sat at the bar with two or three Male Beasts.

The main hall of the luxury liner held a ball every night. Fine wine, music, and restless men and women wandered, chatted, and flirted... "Look at those two, here they go again," Lance smirked, clinking her glass against the person next to her. "Aren't you going to ask for a dance?"

Beside her was a gloomy-looking Wolf Beastman. Since the first day of the voyage, he had been sticking close to the Pig tribe sisters, Peng Yining and Peng Yilu. His behavior was extremely sycophantic, which didn't match his appearance at all.

"Damn, they're so difficult," the Wolf Beastman complained to Lance resentfully. "They wait here every day for someone to ask them to dance, only to reject them one by one. Everyone can see it by now—they're planning to hook Colonel Kong."

"Heh, unfortunately... Colonel Kong hasn't spared them a glance," he sneered.

Lance gave a roguish grin and made a vulgar gesture.

"I don't understand why you keep trying so hard when they clearly don't care. Everyone's betting on how many more days you'll keep sucking up to them."

She provoked the Male Beast's anger with her words. "To be honest, if you actually manage to land them, remember to let me know. I'll place a bet and sweep the pot, hahaha."

The Wolf Beastman was furious.

"You guys! Making bets out of me!"

Lance gave him an indifferent look.

"You're already becoming a joke anyway, don't sweat the small stuff. It's so boring on this flight... just relax."

The Wolf Beastman's eyes blazed with anger, his chest heaving, looking like he was about to explode.

Lance dropped a small pill into his glass.

The light green pill quickly fizzed and dissolved.

"Calm down! The medical facilities here aren't as good as on the ground. Here, have a sip of this."

The Wolf Beastman glared at her, so Lance shrugged and drank half the glass in front of him.

"Don't worry, I'm an Empire-certified Pharmacist. I wouldn't mess around for the sake of my career. It's just a bit of sedative, and it tastes great. Want to try?"

She licked her lips.

The Wolf Beastman paused, remembering that Lance had indeed mentioned being a Pharmacist. He hesitantly drank the rest of the glass... the cool, stimulating flavor combined with the spiciness of the alcohol.

It was quite a unique flavor, instantly improving the taste of the drink.

This scruffy-looking pretty boy actually had some skill.

"See... I didn't lie to you. I told you my medicine-making skills are top-notch," Lance said with a grin.

The Wolf Beastman thought back to yesterday, also at the bar, when Lance was talking dirty with others. Among those things... "You said yesterday that you made a fortune concocting Passion Water?" he suddenly asked Lance.

Lance looked at him in shock.

The Wolf Beastman twitched his lips and said fiercely, "Sell me some."

"No way," Lance shook her head repeatedly. "What are you planning? This ship is full of high-ranking officials and nobles; I don't want any trouble."

"You know that? Then do you know who I am to dare refuse me?" the Wolf Beastman said impatiently. "Whoever I use it on won't involve you. I'll just say I brought it on board myself. Don't worry."

He threatened Lance, "If you don't give it to me, I'll call the police right now, and you'll be finished as a Pharmacist... right? What else have you sold before? I'll have someone look into it slowly."

Lance stared at him in disbelief, only forced to yield after a long while.

"...Fine, I'll bring it to you tonight. Just make sure you never say I gave it to you."

Satisfied with her compliance, the Wolf Beastman glanced at the Pig tribe sisters and walked into the crowd.

That evening, as the Pig tribe sisters brushed past someone at their room door, the elder sister had a small note pressed into her palm.

After reading it inside their room, they were furious!

"Do you think what's written here is true?" the younger sister, Yilu, asked uncertainly, looking at her grim-faced sister.

The elder sister paced the room, making a judgment after a while.

"Better to believe it than not. I've seen that person; he's been at the bar with that Coyote, Lu Ming, for several days. He says he's a Pharmacist and was forced... telling us to be careful. He doesn't gain anything from doing this, so it should be out of pure goodwill."

"How despicable! To actually try to use drugs to make us submit. And that Pharmacist too—couldn't he just not sell it to him? How are we supposed to guard against such a dangerous drug? It's potent, colorless, and odorless!"

"...There's no use complaining. We should ask if he has an antidote. Let's also watch what we eat and drink lately; don't drink any wine Lu Ming offers."

"So annoying! That Lu Ming's family is only a third-class noble like ours; who would want to marry him? He's not even fit to carry Colonel Kong's shoes. That Pearl is truly shameless. Did you find out what her background is yet?"

The elder sister, Peng Yining, shook her head.

"I sent a message to Father, and he replied telling us not to target her. It seems she really has a significant background, possibly backed by a true high noble..."

"How is that possible!" The younger sister was unwilling to accept it but didn't dare to act out again.

The two decided not to provoke Tu Nan, but Tu Nan wasn't about to let them off.

For the next two days, she appeared frequently before the sisters with an arrogant air, always with Kong Jiamu by her side.

This fanned the flames of the sisters' jealousy and sense of crisis even higher.
