84: New identity, in hand.

Tu Nan stared at the number.

The digits flashed across her bracelet like a scrolling marquee, but she didn't answer immediately. The changes in the Children and their firm choice had made her change her decision.

She had originally been thinking of the worst-case scenario, like going to find Hain and finding a way to give birth to his child—maybe it would only take five months?

And then coming back to visit the Children in secret?

She knew that was ridiculous.

Setting aside whether she could achieve her goal in the shortest possible time, could she even walk away from Hain's side then? If she returned to this planet where her identity might be known, how would she even get close to the Children?

Most importantly, could Li really take good care of the Children? Could he protect them?

But now, she truly believed that perhaps a beast god did exist. He had allowed the Children to switch to the second stage—the Childhood Stage—at the most opportune moment.

They had transformed from babies who couldn't stably control their transformations into Children who could effectively control them.

They had changed their appearance almost without anyone noticing.

Previously, it would have been difficult for Tu Nan to take away a pair of famous Dragon and Phoenix twin cubs. Just today, suddenly, a new path appeared before her eyes.

Tu Nan wore a faint smile as she pressed a finger to her lips.

"Don't make a sound. Mommy needs to do something important."

The Two Children nodded obediently.

So good. As long as there was a glimmer of hope, Tu Nan would not give up on taking them away with her.

The communication request had timed out, but it didn't matter. Tu Nan called back.

It was picked up almost instantly.

From the other side came the very faint sound of ocean waves, accompanied by nearly imperceptible breathing. Tu Nan remained silent, waiting... Sure enough, after a long silence, the person spoke: "Tu Nan?"

The corners of Tu Nan's lips curled up. Suppressing her agitated emotions, she gave a soft hum of affirmation.

It was Hain on the other end.

Although Tu Nan had set a trap to seduce him last time, the effect was far better than she had anticipated—it took only two short days to make a noble fall, and the attitude Hain displayed was so resolute.

It was strange. She wasn't some peerless beauty, and she might not even fit the aesthetic standards of this world.

Tu Nan was almost certain that if Li hadn't appeared back then, she definitely would have caught Hain.

Why was that?

She didn't know. There had been no need to ask then, and there was even less need to get to the bottom of it now. She only needed to know that Hain would indeed be useful at this critical moment—that was enough.

Hain couldn't wait for Tu Nan's next sentence. The sounds of their breathing traveled and leaped across the stars of the Universe, then became entangled. He could no longer endure the wait and had to ask, yet he was afraid of scaring away this Female Beast who had once again appeared so suddenly.

"I received a message from McCoy. He said you were looking for me?"

In fact, McCoy had asked if he could give out the contact number, but Hain had directly demanded Tu Nan's number—he couldn't wait.

Tu Nan sounded as if she were in a difficult position; her voice was soft and slow, tinged with hesitation. This was not quite like the elegant and open-minded Female Beast in Hain's memory.

"I told him... I wanted to ask you for some Spiritual Plants..." Tu Nan was thinking.

"How much do you need? Do your Children need them?" Hain asked without hesitation. He remembered Tu Nan saying she was pregnant back then.

"...No, that was an excuse." Tu Nan paused for a long while, and only when Hain was nearly unable to wait any longer did she ask, "Lord Hain, can you help me create two fake identities?"

She seemed afraid he would refuse; her tone finally became unsteady, even carrying a hint of fear.

"I want to move to a place where no one knows me and live there with my Children."

"I can't tell my father, and I don't want him to know. Can you help me? You're the only one I could think of... I know this is very presumptuous..."

"I can," Hain interrupted her calmly.

This was a very simple matter for him. Any noble could do it, let alone him.

Tu Nan made such a call just for this one thing? He was quite disappointed. However, he seized upon the key point.

"He got you, and then he made you sad?" He found it inconceivable.

For such a Chaotic Beast to be favored by fate and get Tu Nan—his Soul's destined other half—and then actually make her sad?

Rage flared in his eyes. The surface of the sea before him surged and recoiled under his Aura until it formed a giant wave, then crashed frantically toward the shore, striking the beach with immense force.

It only bypassed him.

"Come to Sea Soul Star, Tu Nan," he invited impatiently. "Come to my side and let me take care of you."

Ah... just as she thought.

But she couldn't. Since she was leaving because she wanted to live, she wouldn't simply go to the side of another Male Beast.

She looked at the Children, who had their mouths buried in the blankets but were keeping their eyes fixed on her, and smiled.

In order to have more time to spend with the Two Children and to improve her own genes, she had to complete as many missions as possible.

Therefore, she decided to put Hain on the back burner for now and deal with Kong Jiamu first.

A showy peacock like Kong Jiamu was not only easy to handle, but he also didn't seem to care much about whether a woman stayed or left. The possibility of stealing his 'seed' and then leaving was much easier than trying to leave Hain's side with Children in tow.

"No," she firmly rejected Hain, her tone weary.

"I can't come to your side right now. I'm too tired, Hain." Hain could hear her sounding as if she were leaning her head gently against a wall. "I need some time to calm down. I'm about to break... please let me piece myself back together."

"You know? Saying this might be unfair to you... but it's precisely because I've known you for a shorter time that I dare to ask this of you," Tu Nan told him softly. "I'm afraid of my state being seen by any acquaintances."

"I will get better, given just a little time... if you can help me leave without anyone knowing."

"Can you help me?"

Hain's heart felt sour and painful; he thought he understood Tu Nan.

This strong Female Beast didn't dare let anyone see her vulnerability. And he just happened to be the one who was both capable and not close enough to her.

But fortunately, it allowed him to help Tu Nan.

"I will help you. But you must guarantee your own safety, and you must promise to let me keep receiving news of you... otherwise, I won't listen to these words of yours anymore."

"I will bring you back to Sea Soul Star and put you in the safest place."

Put you in my heart—Hain thought silently.

"Two fake identities? It's for you and..." Hain asked.

Tu Nan looked at the Children and smiled.

"It's my daughter. She's a little Tiger Beast, you know. She has white hair and green eyes. She's already 6 months old and has just reached the Childhood Stage."

Hain didn't care much about the child. Every child was a grace from the beast god, let alone Tu Nan's child.

He gazed at his favorite azure sea before him and asked Tu Nan.

"Then, for the identity cards. You'll be Blue Pearl, and the child will be Blue Huai En. How about that?"

The most precious Pearl in his blue sea.

Tu Nan politely agreed. She wouldn't argue over such a thing, even though she was currently despairing over Hain's 'straight-man' aesthetic.
