87: boarding
"Meow~"
Tu Nan took out the small snacks she had prepared for the Children from her pocket, luring a real kitten that was passing by.
It was a long-haired calico kitten. Lured by the scent of the food, it innocently approached and ate without any caution.
Hmm... Tu Nan then took out paper and pen, wrote a few short words, and only then removed her wristband and tied it around the kitten's neck. Tu Nan also fastened the slip of paper to it.
The slightly adorable kitten finished the food on the ground, felt a slight discomfort from the restraint on its neck, but only scratched at it briefly before resignedly hiding back in the wall hole.
That's enough, Tu Nan stood up.
She pushed the Children's stroller forward again and walked toward the predetermined address. Shaking her head, her small cat ears, hidden in her black hair, flickered out.
Black cat ears, with a small tuft of white 'smart hair' on top.
That's right. The 10% gene enhancement given to her by the System came with a slightly unstable dominant trait—she had cat ears, but they were unstable.
They would switch based on her emotional changes.
Ah... what a useful disguise tool. This was Tu Nan's only comment on it.

When Tu Nan arrived at the agreed location, the airline staff, dressed in uniform, were waiting outside the shuttle vehicle.
Tu Nan smiled and stepped forward: "I booked the VIP drop-off service."
"Are you Ms. Blue Pearl?" the person respectfully inquired.
Tu Nan nodded reservedly and instructed him naturally, "My daughter is sleeping. Please put her, basket and all, in the back seat. I will sit with her. Please drive smoothly."
The staff member asked, "Do you have any other luggage?"
Tu Nan looked up in surprise, "I believe I booked a VIP suite? I'm not used to bringing so many bits and pieces when traveling. I heard everything can be purchased on Hongtu Aviation flights?"
"Of course, you are absolutely right. We have everything you could possibly need." The person's attitude became even more polite. This was clearly a wealthy, high-spending client.
The upper part of the baby stroller was moved into the back seat as a carry basket, and the stroller frame was folded separately.
The Two Children were constantly exclaiming in Tu Nan's mind, but in reality, they made no sound.
"Mom, are we riding in a car? This is our first time in a car! It's such a pity we can't see outside."
"It's alright. You will see many, many things in the future. Can you bear with it this time?"
Tu Nan did not use Li's money.
That was because McCoy had sponsored a huge sum yesterday.
After ending the call with Hain, McCoy's communication came through. He seemed quite shocked and incredulous.
"Good daughter, Lord Hain asked me for your number, and he said he would contact you immediately."
Almost immediately after receiving his text message, Hain called him, urgently asking if something had happened to Tu Nan.
McCoy wasn't sure of the situation and didn't say much, only that Tu Nan, as a mother, was impulsively eager for some Spiritual Plant and thus hoped he would ask Hain. McCoy just asked on her behalf.
Hain paused for a moment and then said, "No problem, I'll ask her how much she needs."
Listen to that! *How much* she needed! Not who she was, why she deserved it, or what price she would offer.
My heavens... this was clearly no ordinary relationship.
McCoy had originally only established a connection as an adoptive relative with Tu Nan because he wanted to invest in Li. Now, he was truly impatient to deepen this relationship.
Hain Montoya! That was the eldest son of a First-Rank Noble Family! Even if the Montoya Family had gradually declined over the past century and faded out of the Capital City political circle, a skinny camel is still bigger than a horse.
If Lord Hain hadn't followed Colonel Kong to this wretched place for a quick visit, how could he, a minor noble of Border Star, possibly have gotten his communication number?
As for a phone call... that was even more ridiculous.
And now, because of Tu Nan, he was actually remembered by the Lord? This was truly a huge pie dropping from the sky.
So he transferred a large sum of money to Tu Nan's account and kindly said via communication, "Didn't you want to buy some Spiritual Plant for the Two Children? That stuff costs a sky-high price. How long has Li been in the military? You might not have this money on hand. Why don't I, your adoptive grandfather, pay for the Children? It's my token of goodwill."
Tu Nan counted the 2 million Kalu that had been transferred and, of course, understood that this had nothing to do with the Children, but was merely a political investment.
She was completely basking in Hain's reflected glory.
Tu Nan accepted it without any guilt. Didn't McCoy say so himself—it was the adoptive grandfather's token of goodwill.
She merely consulted Hain, acquired a secure transit account, transferred the money to the Blue Pearl account, and then booked the ticket.
Hongtu Aviation's VIP service was impeccable. The car drove directly to a separate VIP lounge. A dedicated staff member helped her carry the Children's stroller and cradle, and they took the lounge's shuttle cart all the way to the exclusive boarding gate.
"Ms. Blue Pearl, please take the Child out for ticket verification. And please put the Children's stroller through security screening."
The Flight Attendant Young Miss's smile was warm and bright.
Tu Nan smiled, straightened her exaggerated and complex skirt hem, and bent down to open the cover of the Children's stroller.
The three-head-high little girl with white curly hair felt slightly uncomfortable from the sudden light, pouted, and started crying "Ao Ao," reaching out her hands for her mother to hold her.
"Oh dear, Huai En, be a good girl, no crying, no crying. Come quickly for verification."
Tu Nan took the Child out and tidied the cover. She had the staff member send the carry basket into the security machine.
She pulled out the Child's right hand, which wore the Children's wristband, and handed it to the flight attendant. The three pretty older sisters present gathered around this little ancestor, coaxing and entertaining her. It took considerable effort to finally get her face visible for verification.
Only then did Tu Nan feel relieved enough to verify her own ticket.
The cradle was going through security screening. Tu Nan said to the security staff, "Please help install the cradle onto the stroller."
The airline virtually fulfilled every request made by VIP clients. Tu Nan then proactively took out a dagger and placed it on the counter.
"Just a small item I carry, please return it to me upon arrival." This served as the baggage claim slip, which the flight attendant quickly processed.
"This Child finally managed to fall asleep today, and now she's unhappy about waking up." Tu Nan exchanged pleasantries with the young women, tapping Miao Miao's cheek, "Go back to sleep, stop crying, my little ancestor."
Miao Miao buried her head in her mother's arms and whimpered softly.
Tu Nan carried her through security. She paused slightly in front of the machine, her skirt hem trembling slightly, before walking under the machine, waiting for the machine's circular white light to scan her and Miao Miao from top to bottom.
"Ding." The green light turned on; there was no anomaly.
Tu Nan smiled and walked to the stroller, gently lifting the cradle cover slightly, and tucked the heavy, three-head-high little girl inside.
Inside the cradle, a Small Wolf was hiding itself under the blanket, only secretly revealing a pair of deep brown eyes.
"Mom, I did it!" Ao Ao was uncharacteristically excited.
Tu Nan pushed the stroller along the straight passage forward. That was the direction leading to the starship, and the direction leading to the future.
"Yes... Mom saw it. Ao Ao's Talent is truly useful."
"Miao Miao is useful too!" Miao Miao refused to be outdone.
"Of course, Miao Miao was super awesome today too. You are both Mom's most beloved treasures."
Everything went smoothly.
