245: His Majesty's Decline

This was a path Tu Nan had become familiar with over the past two months.

The lights in the corridor were bright, the walls gleaming with a metallic luster, and at regular intervals, the emblem representing Emperor Haoyuan appeared.

Reminding everyone that this was the flagship of The Emperor.

Exclusive, noble, it was his dangerous yet beautiful battle fortress in the starry sky.

And here, Tu Nan was to conceive his Children.

To gestate the next heir to the Empire.

How insane.

The two of them walked side by side.

It hadn't been this way initially, but The Emperor slowed his pace several times, finally allowing Tu Nan to fall into step with him.

They moved forward with the same firm, leisurely, and elegant posture, finally returning to the room in the dead of night.

The Children were indeed already gone.

And Dr. James had even helped remove everything in the living room related to the Children.

Furthermore, although the living room lights were on, they were dimmed to a very low setting.

A faint, elusive fragrance permeated the room.

It was somewhat familiar; while Tu Nan was still trying to identify it, The Emperor had already recognized it.

"Look, this is what a true sycophant is."

He tugged at the corner of his mouth, commenting with a smile, but seeing that Tu Nan was still confused, his mouth slowly flattened again.

"What? You don't recognize it? I suppose I shouldn't have expected you to truly have a heart."

Being told this, Tu Nan understood immediately.

It was the scent of the unfinished perfume she had given him.

But how did James know, and why did The Emperor bring it up and use it?

"How could that be? After all, I formulated it myself. It's just that so much time has passed, the scent has faded quite a bit."

She found a small excuse, and seeing that The Emperor wasn't buying it, she added.

"After seeing the starry sky and the Star Worms battlefield, I understand Your Majesty even more. This one... is not enough to describe how I feel now. How about I reformulate it when we get back?"

The Emperor snorted coldly, letting the matter go.

He undid his outer garment directly, and Tu Nan reached out to take it. The Emperor cast a glance at her, didn't give it to her, and tossed it onto the sofa.

"It is not your place to do such things."

Leaving this sentence behind, he went to the shower room on his own.

Tu Nan was astonished; hadn't Your Majesty been quite comfortable letting her do things and take his clothes before?

Looking at the clothes discarded on the sofa, Tu Nan's eyelashes trembled slightly.

The Emperor... besides the Children, did he also want to give... the position by his side?

The Empress position? Would he give it away so easily?

With her status, being the lover of Your Majesty and bearing the Children would lead to attacks from nobles and ministers.

How could The Emperor have thought of letting her ascend to such heights in one step?

Harboring such questions, she moved lightly, using the sound of the water to mask her movements, and approached the shower room almost silently.

This System settlement had allowed some feline traits to be better reflected in her human form.

Having taken off her shoes, she seemed to have soft pads, slowly approaching her prey.

Her hand rested on the bathroom handle, and accompanied by her thumping heartbeat, she hardened her heart and pushed the door open.

Water vapor rushed to meet her.

Although this bathroom was significantly smaller than the one in Tu Nan's room at the Autumn Palace in the imperial palace, it was definitely the largest in the flagship.

She had never stepped foot in here before.

In fact, she had never entered The Emperor's bedroom either.

For so long, she had at most slept in the living room, using the small bathroom attached to the side of the living room.

The Emperor turned around abruptly in the water, turned off the water, wiped his face, and glared at Tu Nan, but he had absolutely no intention of covering himself.

"You!" His tone was angry. "Where are your manners?"

Tu Nan ignored him; she wasn't standing here to discuss any manners with him.

So this was what Your Majesty looked like without being wrapped in those majestic and exquisite clothes?

His face, which always appeared majestic and pale, was flushed with a hint of color from the steam in the hot water.

Water droplets flowed continuously down his muscular lines. As Tu Nan walked, she followed those droplets with her gaze.

His chiseled jaw, his Adam's apple, and his chest, made prominent by its fullness and firmness, seemed to pool a small puddle of water at his collarbone.

Tu Nan continued forward until she was blocked by the glass door.

She placed one hand on that door.

The door seemed to have been specially treated, and just within this short time, the water mist gradually dissipated.

Her hand pressed against the door, continuing to trace downwards.

Those were the firm abdominal muscles and the solid side waist, causing his waistline to taper inward at the midsection of his body.

"Have you seen enough?" The Emperor asked.

"No, Your Majesty." Tu Nan laughed shortly, her green eyes narrowing with pleasure.

"Didn't you say I was very bold?" She opened the door just like that, squeezed into the shower room, and smiled innocently yet wickedly.

She raised her hand, and The Emperor frowned, actually almost raising his hand to protect himself.

He was annoyed by this chaotic feeling of his own, and reached out to stroke the cheek of the Female Beast before him.

Lingering.

Tu Nan tilted her head slightly, letting him do as he pleased.

She leaned slightly toward him, and The Emperor thought she was asking for a kiss, but the Female Beast just leaned forward, pressed against him, and tried hard to reach the faucet behind him.

In an instant, water at the perfect temperature showered down again.

The two people standing under the shower head were enveloped together, and the steam slowly rose again.

"I need to take a bath too, Your Majesty."

Tu Nan was hit by the water flow, her eyes half-closed, getting soaked just like that.

"Clothes are very bothersome." She said this, almost pressing against The Emperor, and dropped her clothes one by one at her feet.

"This is more comfortable."

Also free from the constraints of clothing, Tu Nan smoothed her hair back, letting the water flow kiss her face.

The Emperor just stood in the water, watching this arrogant cat recklessly test his boundaries.

The cat finally couldn't hold back, and after its fur was completely wet, it requested.

"Can't you kiss me?"

One of Tu Nan's hands rested on The Emperor's arm, which was beginning to tense up.

The Emperor looked at that hand.

Too much nonsense, he thought.

He couldn't let this cat speak any further, otherwise, he felt that his string of reason was about to snap.

Your Majesty held her, lifted her up, and unrefusably captured her lips, which were truly too talkative.

"Mmm..."

Turn off the water. Tu Nan wanted to say that keeping her mouth open really meant she was drinking shower water.

But The Emperor ignored her; he felt incomparably delighted.

A sycophant, he thought. This was truly a top-tier sycophant, knowing that as a Dragon, he loved water, and specifically choosing this environment to make him so excited.

This environment was truly suitable.

His Children should be conceived here.

The Emperor took a long stride, bent his leg, and stepped onto the wall on the other side, allowing the Female Beast he was kissing to have a place to sit.

And also making his subsequent actions smoother.

"Ah!"

The Emperor finally released her lips.

"Is there anything else you want to say? Say it now." His eyes were full of the joy of a successful hunt.

But Tu Nan's eyes were watery, and amidst the jolting, she couldn't speak any further.

The Emperor was satisfied that his efforts had borne fruit, and rewarded her with a kiss on the top of her head.

Continue.

Apart from some blurred single syllables, Tu Nan didn't say any complete sentences again.

This was very good, The Emperor thought.

Manners were still very necessary.

When facing The Emperor, someone still needed to learn how to be "cautious in speech."

Of course, this meant—the sounds he liked could be a little more frequent.

Your Majesty smiled.
