231: Give foster mothers a home
"Weapon..."
"Consumable?"
Tu Nan stepped forward.
The guard following behind her stepped forward as well. His helmet angle rotated, and the Major General he looked at only froze for a moment before moving his chair aside.
Tu Nan managed to stand at the table.
She placed both hands on the tabletop, narrowed her eyes, and questioned Ryan.
"Our war with the Star Worms has been going on for so many years without an end. May I ask what the advantage of the Star Worms is?"
She was aggressive.
From the moment she left the Capital City, besides worrying about Kong Jiamu, she had been reading all kinds of materials about this long inter-species war.
There was information about Star Worms and analyses of various battles on the starship.
Even in the Imperial Palace, she had never understood this information so comprehensively.
"They have large numbers, don't they? Seemingly endless."
"They have no emotions and rely on innate Rank suppression to control the direction of the population's advancement."
Everything the Star Worms eat is used for reproduction, and then the lower Ranks automatically follow the higher Ranks in action.
"But do they have emotions? Do they have tactics? Do they rescue their own kind or set traps? No!"
Tu Nan looked at all the Advanced generals present.
"What have we relied on to fight them for so many years? Do you think we've always relied on one-for-one trades? That's not it either. Haven't we always relied on tactics, on the cooperation of Advanced Beastmen with weapons and the army?"
"clones. Oh, in order to defeat the bugs, we have to follow the same path as them? Why, do we have to compete with them in their Domain of advantage?"
Tu Nan looked at these people with unclear minds with contempt.
"In the entire Universe, I estimate there is no race that actively wants to push the evolutionary chain backward."
Two people down from her, an officer stood up with a flushed face.
"You, a Female Beast, don't even go to the battlefield, so it's easy for you to talk. You raise a bunch of questions, so how exactly should it be solved? What's the use of only saying this doesn't work and that doesn't work!"
"Damn! You're so capable? Then how come you've been here so long and your military merits still aren't enough for a promotion?"
Kong Jiamu threw the notebook in his hand across the large conference table.
The man dodged it and glared at him.
Kong Jiamu stood up with a start.
"What, you're not convinced?"
"We've been fighting the Star Worms for hundreds of years. Did you suddenly become so fragile today that you can't fight anymore? What's wrong? Without cannon fodder in front of you, you can't handle the war situation?"
He was firing on all cylinders, his short hair making his mockery appear even more full of Killing Intent.
"If you can't do it, step aside. Look through your subordinates, and let whoever has the ability take the lead! If there's still no one, I'll sacrifice myself; give your pitiful soldiers to me, and I'll help you lead them."
"You!" The man was so angry his hair stood on end.
"Major General Kong!" Ryan roared.
"Kong Jiamu, sit down."
The Emperor spoke indifferently.
Kong Jiamu snorted coldly, saluted Your Majesty, and sat down.
This left Ryan in an awkward position.
The way The Emperor shielded him was truly undisguised. Tu Nan looked toward Kong Jiamu, but received a fierce glare from him.
Kong Jiamu snatched the notebook from the person next to him and pretended to be writing something blindly with a pen.
"Everyone." As soon as The Emperor spoke, Ryan had to salute and sit down.
Tu Nan was unwilling to step back; she stood firm.
The Emperor's gaze swept over her and he said directly.
"The meaning of the army is to guard and to explore. When we talk about strategy, we are not talking about a momentary struggle. Remember, if we fight to the end and forget human nature, without faith, then the army will become a sharp blade stuck in our own bodies."
"As long as he wakes up as a person, I believe he is a citizen of the Empire. The Empire is not a victory won at the cost of sacrificing its citizens; that is a sin, not glory."
"If we disregard the future of the entire race for the sake of temporary pleasure today, then it would be better to let history stop right here."
Everyone apologized one after another.
The Emperor looked at Tu Nan.
"I had the research institute conduct some research on reproduction and birth Rank, and there have been some results. Why don't you all listen?"
So this was the content The Emperor wanted her to talk about.
He did not agree with the research on clones, but to appease the army, he threw out another direction.
Not creating "quantity" in an uncontrollable direction, but improving "quality" in a controllable direction.
This was certainly possible.
But Tu Nan looked up suddenly, stared straight at The Emperor, and she suddenly smiled.
It was dangerous.
The Emperor always felt she was going to do something bold.
Sure enough, Tu Nan started by saying...
"That's right, this research has already yielded results. I can synchronize the report to everyone. The conclusion is very simple; everyone will be able to understand it."
She signaled Lance to upload the report to the conference System.
"So that's not what I want to talk about."
Ignoring The Emperor's glare, Tu Nan dragged a chair and sat directly at the table.
Since she had been allowed to speak, then what she said was hers to decide.
Seeing that the report had already appeared on the screens in front of everyone, Tu Nan asked them to turn directly to the conclusion page. After they understood what this research was, she spoke again.
"Didn't that person just say that I only create problems and don't solve them?"
"Sorry, I actually thought of quite a few methods. There are four small suggestions in total, all of which are developed from these research results."
Tu Nan gave these four suggestions:
1. The Empire should take action to film promotional videos, focusing on improving the image of soldiers and promoting the various generous benefits for soldiers. This is a long-term project.
This is to respect everyone who truly stands on the front line. Of course, the benefits themselves must be decent. At the same time, this is for the sake of the following points.
2. Increase starship communication support to ensure fixed communication time and data for soldiers in the barracks. Don't let soldiers on this Border Star battlefield feel like they are isolated from the world.
This point is to increase the soldiers' connection to normal life.
Even someone at Kong Jiamu's level doesn't have much opportunity to communicate with the outside world, let alone ordinary soldiers.
She certainly knows the importance of military secrecy, but may I ask if this war is against Star Worms... can they even understand the intelligence passed by spies?
3. Build a mobile home, supplemented by mobile nodes, to create a living fortress based on the Border Star. Open up part of the transportation for civilian transport to undertake.
This is called a protracted war... Since the war may last for ten years, the army can start considering it.
When the third point was proposed, a general's eyelid began to twitch, obviously realizing that this involved not only tactical resources but also the restructuring of the entire military and political landscape.
But Tu Nan hadn't finished speaking yet.
"The fourth point, bring more Female Beasts to live in the mobile home. In particular, gather Foster Mothers to the border army."
"Let them live a normal life here, organize matchmaking, not to be bought or sold, only talking about marriage."
"Let the soldiers have a home, let Children be born, and make guarding more meaningful."
Tu Nan said this last point.
Everyone watched this Female Beast make a presentation that flowed like a continuous stream for a whole hour.
They simply didn't know what to say.
You call this a small suggestion?
This could definitely be called a strategy...
Tu Nan had long wanted to help the Foster Mothers find a way out.
Not creating new Foster Mothers is one aspect, but what about the existing ones?
How to change their lives and give them hope?
How to let them live with dignity, no longer being bought and sold as objects?
This series of thoughts just popped into her mind just now.
She felt this was an obligation.
It was another obligation she needed to shoulder after occupying the body of a Foster Mother to live again in this world.
"Did you see the report? Let Children be born in love; only then will they be more robust. The rewards of life have always followed simple truths."
"Do not interfere with God's Domain at will; do not be so arrogant."
Tu Nan warned them.
She was simply shining.
Kong Jiamu's head lifted again and again, finally giving up on struggling with himself, and looked at Tu Nan with anger.
The Emperor smiled.
Tu Nan was always more brilliant than he expected.
He really wanted to turn her into a cat right now.
The Emperor's hands could almost not hold back.
However, it was not possible.
