117: Bloody Battle on the Plains

Seeing the magic-energy mechs display their might, Apollo no longer watched idly. With a flap of his wings, he charged into the mech ranks.

"Aow—"

A sharp howl suddenly exploded on the battlefield. Wherever the sound wave passed, the magic-energy mechs lost control one after another.

The dozen or so mechs closest to Apollo had their drivers' seven orifices bleeding directly from the sound wave, losing their breath on the spot.

The drivers slightly further away were not much better; blood continuously seeped from their ears and noses, and they struggled painfully in their cockpits, clutching their heads.

And the ten-second control duration of the Fearful Howl was enough to change their fate.

A group of Little Devils seized this opportune moment, charging directly into the mechs and slaying the drivers.

Meanwhile, the Demons also launched their respective attacks on the mechs.

The mechs further away, unaffected by the sound wave, quickly retreated upon seeing the drastic change occurring here.

One mech driver, who was affected by the sound wave, miraculously endured the long ten seconds. The moment he recovered, he drove his mech back furiously, shouting loudly as he retreated:

"The enemy has sound wave attacks! Quickly activate the shielding device!"

Upon hearing this, the other mechs immediately activated their sound shielding devices.

The goblin Commander's brows furrowed deeply upon hearing this.

The mechs were equipped with shielding devices that could block sound.

But these hundreds of thousands of warriors did not have shielding devices on them. If they were hit by a sound wave attack…

But soon, Apollo showed him through his actions that he had worried too much.

Apollo sneered and flapped his wings, flying to another part of the battlefield.

His speed was much faster than that of the mechs. These mechs, engaged in fierce combat, hadn't even reacted when they saw a giant Demon suddenly appear before them.

Apollo opened his mouth and let out another roar, an invisible ripple sweeping out.

Although the shielding devices were activated, the mech drivers were still affected by the Fearful Howl, once again falling into a long ten-second daze.

Apollo was not surprised by this result. After all, it was transcendent power; how could these mortals understand it?

Seeing the heavy losses of the magic-energy mechs, the Commander quickly recalled them to the front lines.

As the great weapon of the Goblin Empire, they could not be lost in vain like this.

With no obstacles, the Demons roared and charged towards the goblin army.

Seeing the enemy enter firing range, the Commander gritted his teeth and waved his hand:

"Fire!"

In an instant, a violent surge erupted on the battlefield.

Tens of thousands of Magic Energy Tanks roared in unison, the explosions deafening, turning the central battlefield into a sea of fire.

Hundreds of thousands of Demons were instantly blown to smithereens, greatly alarming Apollo.

He had not expected these iron shells to be able to launch such powerful attacks.

At this time, the Worm Army had also infiltrated beneath the enemy forces and launched their attacks one after another.

The goblin soldiers hiding in the trenches thought they were safe, but they did not expect a large number of ferocious Worms to emerge from within the trenches.

Before the soldiers could react, they were tackled by these monsters and savagely torn apart.

The magic-energy armor of these warriors was completely ineffective against the Worms' bites. In just a short while, a large number of goblin warriors died.

Some Worms even bit into the Magic Energy Tanks, using their demon-breaking fangs to directly pierce through the tank's thick armor and burrow into the tank's interior.

Upon discovering this situation, the goblin Commander urgently ordered the tanks to move and not to linger in place.

At this time, the airships in the sky were not idle. Seeing the magic-energy mechs withdraw from the battlefield, they no longer had any qualms and dropped bombs one after another.

Round bombs rained down from the sky, followed by thunderous explosions that echoed across the entire battlefield.

This intensive bombing caused immense damage to the Demon Army, with countless Demons being blown to pieces amidst the roar.

Apollo looked at the recklessly bombing airships and immediately ordered the Little Devils to go up and eliminate them.

Currently, only the Little Devils could deal with this group of airships.

Upon receiving the order, the Little Devils flapped their wings and flew into the sky.

Being in the shadow dimension, they were not afraid of the hail of bullets.

Soon, the Little Devils successfully boarded the airships one by one and began a bloody massacre.

Neither the airship drivers nor the bomb-throwing soldiers escaped the Little Devils' claws.

Soon, the airships were cleared one by one.

Most of the uncontrolled airships gradually moved straight forward, not knowing where they would land.

Some airships were in a diving phase, and after losing control, they plunged directly to the ground, then, along with their full load of bombs, unleashed a sky-shattering roar.

A portion of the airships also fell onto the battlefield, causing immense damage to both sides.

After spending some effort dealing with the airships, the Little Devils were not idle either, charging back into the battlefield.

Their target this time was the Magic Energy Tanks.

Although these Magic Energy Tanks were also moving, their speed was much slower compared to the mechs.

The Little Devils directly charged into the tanks, and the Demon Claw reaped the lives of the drivers one by one.

No matter how powerful their weapons were, these drivers' weak bodies remained a vulnerability.

As the Worms and Little Devils infiltrated the goblin positions, the entire position descended into chaos.

They had no way to deal with the elusive enemies.

If they were to face the millions of Demons, they were confident they could annihilate them with these powerful weapons, but against intangible enemies, they had nowhere to exert their strength.

Some hot-blooded warriors did not wait to die in the trenches. They picked up their weapons and charged directly towards the Demon Army, hoping to kill a few more enemies.

Unfortunately, these brave soldiers could not change the overall situation.

The goblin Commander also saw this, knowing that continuing to drag this out would only lead to death. With reddened eyes, he could only issue the order for a general assault.

Upon receiving the order to charge, all the goblins did not hesitate, leaving their positions and charging towards the Demon Army.

Whether they were soldiers holding firearms or magic-energy mechs or tanks, they all charged forward without hesitation.

And the Demon Army finally had a chance to act. Facing the seemingly suicidal goblin soldiers, they showed no mercy.

Soldiers were tackled by Demons one by one, desperately detonating the bombs on their bodies.

Thunderous roars once again echoed across the battlefield.

The magic-energy mechs were not having an easy time either. Apollo specifically targeted them, and his pervasive sound waves wiped out mech drivers one after another.

With a sky-shattering roar, the remaining thousand-plus Magic Energy Tanks, forming a steel torrent, crashed into the Demon horde.

Demons along the way were sent flying, their flesh and blood splattering, as the massive treads rolled over their bodies, leaving behind only countless severed limbs and scattered remains.

Inside the cockpits, the goblin drivers frantically fired shells, harvesting the remaining enemies, only to inflict more damage before their demise.

Until the tanks were submerged by Demons one by one, eventually falling silent.

This moth-to-a-flame act eliminated many Demons, but it also led to the complete annihilation of the goblin legion.

This legion, which gathered all the elite forces of the Goblin Empire, ultimately fell on the Sunset Plain.

Only scattered wreckage remained on the ground under the setting sun.
