99: Dragon Island
Lei Ya guided the Demon Dragon to the Teleportation Formation, signaling it to drip its blood into the center of the formation.
Ye Chen was also uncertain whether the Demon Dragon's bloodline was pure enough.
After all, it was reconstructed through Abyss resurrection and wasn't exactly an original, authentic product.
The Demon Dragon didn't hesitate; its sharp claws sliced across its palm, and a drop of dragon blood emitting a scorching aura fell into the Teleportation Formation with a "splat."
Under everyone's expectant gaze, the runes on the Teleportation Formation lit up one by one, and it was soon fully activated.
In an instant, the Teleportation Formation burst with a dazzling light.
At Ye Chen's signal, the Demon Dragon stepped into the Teleportation Formation with a hint of curiosity.
After a bout of dizziness, the scenery before its eyes had completely changed.
It seemed to be inside a damp and dark cave.
The cave was massive, fully capable of accommodating the Demon Dragon's dozens-of-meters-tall body.
Piles of iron ore were also stacked inside the cave, their surfaces already covered in moss.
Clearly, these were the fruits of the dog-headed people's labor from decades ago, all left here untouched and ignored.
The Demon Dragon shook its head and crawled out of the cave, preparing to scout this world first.
Outside the cave, the sun was bright and everything was peaceful.
Looking around, it found itself on a small island, which explained why the cave was so damp.
It found some boulders and blocked the cave entrance to prevent outsiders from intruding.
Next, it sacrificed a pebble back to the Abyss to transmit the coordinates of this location.
The Demon Dragon scouted the small island, but aside from some ordinary small animals, there was nothing unusual.
The Demon Dragon suddenly spread its wings and, with a "whoosh," flew directly into the sky.
This world was extremely vast, and the sea was also very expansive.
The sea was dotted with islands, and the roars of animals could be heard from time to time.
The Demon Dragon identified its position based on the density of the islands, hoping to find the continent as soon as possible.
Its speed was extremely fast, crossing the sea amid the sound of breaking air until it reached the edge of the continent.
Fishermen fishing by the shore heard the "rumbling" sound of breaking air and, thinking it was thunder, steered their boats back home.
The Demon Dragon also saw these humans and felt a bit disappointed.
It had come here with the hope of finding companions, but it seemed this was still human territory.
Ignoring the humans, it continued its high-speed flight.
Passing over human city-states, the sound of its flight caught the attention of some transcendent beings.
The Demon Dragon did not stop, scouting the surroundings with the human kingdoms as the center.
To the north was Orc territory, filled with tribes of Lionmen, Tigermen, and Werewolves, and even towering Behemoths.
Some powerhouses among the Orcs seemed to notice the Demon Dragon's presence, and the Demon Dragon could feel several scrutinizing gazes landing on it.
However, before these powerhouses could react, the Demon Dragon had already quickly flown away.
North of the Orcs was an ice field inhabited by Snow Monsters and various Ice-attribute Magical Beasts.
To the south of the human kingdoms was a primeval forest with incredibly tall trees, where a significant number of Elves lived.
To the west of the human kingdoms was a barren area of mountains and hills; on this impoverished land existed a Dwarf Kingdom.
There were also tribes of Halflings, Goblins, and Centaurs rooted in that land.
To the east of the human kingdoms was the sea the Demon Dragon had come from, dotted with scattered islands.
The Demon Dragon wandered for a long time, but not only did it not see any Giant Dragons, it didn't even see a single dog-headed people or Troll.
This made it wonder if it had come to the wrong place.
Perhaps that Teleportation Formation had more than one destination?
At this thought, the Demon Dragon couldn't help but feel disappointed and flew back toward the eastern sea, wanting to return to the teleportation point.
Since it couldn't find them itself, it would let the Abyssal Army look.
However, the sea was incredibly vast, and the Demon Dragon didn't know how long it had been flying, yet it still hadn't found the island it came from.
Refusing to give up, it kept flying eastward with determination.
After a while, it finally saw some islands.
In the center of the numerous islands, an island as large as a continent appeared before its eyes.
Above the island, the Demon Dragon saw several Young Dragons soaring and playing in the sky.
This jolted its spirits, knowing it had found the right place.
It wasn't in a hurry to approach Dragon Island; after all, it could only see these few Young Dragons, and it didn't know how many more were on the island.
Landing on a small island near Dragon Island, the Demon Dragon decided to observe for a while.
Some animals also lived on this small island, and here, it finally discovered the presence of dog-headed people.
This group of dog-headed people had clearly lived on this island for a long time; the houses in their settlement appeared old and dilapidated.
At this moment, they were gathered around a broken iron pot, swallowing their saliva.
Boiling inside the iron pot were two wild rabbits and some wild vegetables and fruits; their lives were incredibly meager.
This time, the Demon Dragon wasn't polite and burned them all to cinders with one blast of fire.
Then, the Demon Dragon activated a Sacrifice Formation, sending the souls of these dog-headed people into the Abyss.
Ye Chen, who had been waiting for news, discovered this new group of dog-headed people and, knowing it was the Demon Dragon's work, quickly resurrected them.
The resurrected dog-headed people were a bit dazed, not knowing what had happened.
Ye Chen questioned them about the other world, but they seemed somewhat bewildered and ignorant.
Clearly, their memories had not been preserved.
It seemed Lei Ya was an exception; perhaps it was due to his strength or his intelligence that he was able to retain his memories after resurrection.
As the Demon Dragon released its flames to kill the dog-headed people, in a massive dragon nest at the center of Dragon Island, an Ancient Red Dragon suddenly opened its eyes.
It smelled a hint of evil fire coming from not far away.
The Ancient Dragon's figure flashed slightly, and it appeared on the small island.
The Demon Dragon, having just finished roasting the dog-headed people, suddenly turned its head and was nearly scared out of its wits.
A massive Red Dragon had appeared silently behind it!
It instinctively jumped back, breaking into a cold sweat.
One must know that although it was roasting the dog-headed people, it hadn't let down its perception of the surroundings.
Yet this Ancient Dragon could bypass its perception and appear behind it; if it wanted to kill the Demon Dragon, the Demon Dragon probably wouldn't even have time to react.
The Ancient Red Dragon ignored the Demon Dragon's terror, its gaze fixed intently on its deformed body.
This strange dragon indeed had Red Dragon blood, but the bloodline seemed... impure?
Its bloodline contained an evil power that had forcibly altered its form.
This gave the strange dragon before it the feel of a mutant hybrid between a Red Dragon and a Black Dragon, yet it was even more evil and appeared quite anomalous.
Especially those two large bulges; it could actually sense two completely different energy fluctuations within them.
"Where did this half-breed come from!"
The Ancient Red Dragon roared, and its Dragon Might pressed down like a physical force, leaving the Demon Dragon unable to move.
"Why have you trespassed on Dragon Island and dared to kill my servants?"
