Chapter 110 High-Level Hunter Chen Ang

Chapter 110: Chen Ang, the High-End Hunter. The place Xue Shanshan chose was a seafood restaurant located in the commercial district of the New District.

When Chen Ang arrived, she was already waiting in a booth by the window.

Today, she was wearing a white short skirt with black silk stockings and a cashmere cardigan. The neckline was low, and her fair skin below the collarbone gleamed dazzlingly under the chandelier.

Her hair was loose, with a sparkling rhinestone clip tucked behind her ear; she looked like a completely different person from when they first met.

"Brother-in-law," she stood up and waved at him, the hem of her dress swaying at mid-thigh. "Over here."

Chen Ang sat down across from her.

The waiter handed over the menu. Xue Shanshan took it, flipped through, ordered a few dishes, and asked for two glasses of fresh-squeezed juice.

While doing this, her eyes lingered on Chen Ang with a deliberate slowness.

"Where's Zhiyong? Why didn't he come with you?" Chen Ang leaned back in his chair, taking in her outfit.

"He drank too much at lunch and is probably still sleeping at the hotel, which is why I said I'd treat you to dinner." She rested her chin on the back of her hand, tilting her head to look at him as her eyelashes fluttered.

"Won't Zhiyong misunderstand something?" Chen Ang asked with a smile.

"It's fine. I sent him a message saying I was going to ask my brother-in-law for some career advice tonight. He hasn't replied, so he's likely still asleep."

Chen Ang chuckled and said no more.

As the dishes were served, Xue Shanshan peeled shrimp while chatting about her experiences shopping in Bin City.

She mentioned going to a trendy bookstore that afternoon and taking photos for half an hour.

She also said she'd seen the Moon-Watching Terrace sky bar on short video apps and that the night view looked beautiful, noting she'd never been to a place like that.

As she spoke, her finger slowly traced circles around the rim of her glass, her eyes stealing glances at Chen Ang.

"You want to go?" Chen Ang placed his chopsticks on his bowl.

"Of course I do, but it's Friday, and I heard it's hard to get a table." Xue Shanshan's eyes lit up before she quickly put on a coquettish expression. "Brother-in-law, Zhiyong said you used to run a bar. You wouldn't happen to have some connections, would you?"

Chen Ang laughed and nodded. "I'll ask."

He then took out his phone and sent a message.

The rest was small talk. Xue Shanshan didn't ask about the bar again, but Chen Ang could tell from her slightly anxious expression that she was looking forward to it.

About half an hour later, a woman in formal attire approached Chen Ang with elegant steps.

"Mr. Chen, here is the Moon-Watching Terrace VIP card you requested." She bowed slightly and presented a black card with both hands.

Chen Ang took it, glanced at it, said thanks, and handed the card to Xue Shanshan.

Xue Shanshan was astonished; her mind was still reeling from the fact that Chen Ang had summoned a VIP card with just one message.

Seeing Chen Ang give her the card, she covered her mouth with one hand and took it with inexplicable joy. "Brother-in-law, is this for me?" she asked in disbelief.

Chen Ang dismissed the China Merchants Bank staff member and then nodded at Xue Shanshan with a smile.

Xue Shanshan held the card, looking it over repeatedly as if she couldn't put it down, and took more photos with her phone.

At the same time, her gaze kept drifting back to Chen Ang, her mind constantly speculating about his mystery and what his true identity might be.

Chen Ang felt nothing in response to this.

For the China Merchants Bank team serving him, obtaining a bar's VIP card was as easy as drinking water.

There was only fifty thousand yuan on the card; it was nothing more than a way to enjoy some discounts, easier bookings, or exclusive area privileges.

In Chen Ang's eyes, it wasn't anything valuable.

With the VIP card in hand, Xue Shanshan lost much of her appetite.

Chen Ang noticed this, so before long, the two of them left.

When they reached the bentley continental gt, Xue Shanshan's eyes lit up again. Even after Chen Ang had started the car, she was still happily taking photos.

He didn't rush her, instead lighting a cigarette to let her take as many as she wanted.

Amidst the clouds of smoke, Chen Ang once again marveled at the charm of money.

How many inexperienced girls could resist the allure of a bentley continental gt?

Moon-Watching Terrace was on the top floor of the Sifang International Center in Bin City, making it the highest bar in the city.

When the elevator doors opened, the night view outside the floor-to-ceiling windows rushed toward them, with the lights of thousands of homes forming a sea of flowing light and shadow.

Standing at the elevator entrance, Xue Shanshan looked around at the neon lights and revelry inside, completely stunned.

She instinctively reached out and tugged at Chen Ang's sleeve before quickly letting go, but Chen Ang caught the movement.

"Sir, do you have a reservation?" the host greeted them.

"No. Give me a booth by the window." Chen Ang gestured toward Xue Shanshan with a tilt of his head.

Realizing what he meant, Xue Shanshan hurried to take the VIP card from her bag.

The host took the card, glanced at it, and his attitude changed instantly, bowing as he led them to the best window-side spot.

This was the booth with the most expansive view in the entire Moon-Watching Terrace, directly facing the river scenery.

Xue Shanshan sat on the booth's sofa, her legs pressed together and hands on her knees like a nervous schoolgirl.

Then she slowly relaxed, leaning back into the sofa as her gaze darted between the swirling lights and the crowd.

The waiter handed over the drink menu. She flipped through a couple of pages, her finger visibly pausing when she saw the prices, before naturally handing the menu to Chen Ang.

Chen Ang waved it away and directly asked the waiter for a bottle of Macallan 25-Year, along with an order of caviar and some snacks.

The waiter bowed, said "Please wait a moment," and withdrew.

Xue Shanshan's eyes followed the waiter's back, only turning away when she saw him retrieve the bottle priced at over ten thousand yuan from behind the bar.

"Brother-in-law, do you come here often?" Her voice was much softer than at the seafood restaurant, with less deliberate coquettishness and more genuine intimidation.

"Rarely." Chen Ang didn't look at her.

He remembered the last time he went to someone else's bar was because Director Xu Qingwan said she wanted to check it out.

After the drinks and snacks were served, Xue Shanshan picked up her glass and took a small sip. She frowned, then smiled, saying she had only ever drunk beer before and that this was much better.

After a few drinks, she became more talkative, constantly wanting to share her past with Chen Ang while also trying to pry into his.

After about half an hour, the live band switched to a faster-paced song, and the dance floor began to fill up.

Xue Shanshan put down her glass and tried to pull Chen Ang onto the dance floor.

Chen Ang shook his head in refusal, gesturing for her to go enjoy herself.

Seeing his firm stance, she didn't push further and instead ran in alone to experience the thrill of letting loose.

Time passed in this pursuit of excitement. After midnight, Xue Shanshan finally felt tired.

She had drunk nearly two-thirds of the bottle of Macallan and was starting to feel a bit dazed.

When the designated driver arrived, Chen Ang helped her into the bentley and took her back to the Qianxi Hotel.

Soon, the bentley stopped at the hotel entrance. Through the dark window tint, Chen Ang saw Wen Zhiyong in the lobby, likely waiting for Xue Shanshan.

"Shanshan, we're at the hotel. Zhiyong is waiting for you." Chen Ang patted the person leaning on his shoulder.

Xue Shanshan looked up dazed and murmured, "Brother-in-law." Then, she reached out and placed her hand on Chen Ang's shoulder, her fingertips gently twisting his collar.

Chen Ang saw clarity in her eyes and knew she was faking her drunkenness, but he didn't call her out, waiting to see her next move.
