Chapter 31 A Pair of Patients Who Can Kill You by Destroying Your Spirit

Chapter 31: A Pair of Patients Who Know How to Kill the Heart. Tu Yuandong seemed to have run into a streak of bad luck lately. Although he owed quite a bit in bank loans, there was no risk of them being recalled.

The main issue was two payments for his Company's projects, totaling nearly ten million yuan, which were stuck in the paperwork process.

After running around for the past few days, he had finally finished the last procedures. Just as he was about to catch his breath, he received news that Company, his Company's largest supplier, had changed owners.

Word was that Company was undergoing a restructuring of its personnel and intended to audit all financial transactions with downstream businesses.

In reality, Company's Company didn't absolutely need Company, but Company had the most complete supply of materials in the city, and their prices were the most reasonable.

The contract between Company and Company still had two years left. Normally, he wouldn't worry about them changing owners, but hearing that they were going to audit their transactions made his heart skip a beat.

Without some under-the-table dealings, a Company of Company's size could never have gotten the best supply prices, not to mention that he still owed Company three million yuan in unpaid payments.

So, he had been on edge these past few days; even a twitch of his eyelid would make him jump.

However, as long as he could sign the project contract with Luqiao Group, all his problems would be solved.

Yet, despite running around for nearly a month and thoroughly working his connections at the lower levels, he was always stuck at the final hurdle.

Manager Hu of Road and Bridge Bureau was technically an acquaintance, but that acquaintance was exactly where the trouble lay.

Because Manager Hu used to be his former father-in-law's secretary.

Right now, if he wanted to clear this last hurdle, perhaps only his ex-wife, Yu Fei, speaking up for him would work.

Over the past few days, he had visited Qiongjing Garden no less than five times, but Yu Fei had consistently refused to relent.

Today was his sixth visit. Looking down at the fruit basket and plush toy in his hands, he took a deep breath and walked up to the front door.

Just as he reached out to press the doorbell, faint, low moans and grunts drifted from inside the house, seemingly accompanied by intense clapping sounds.

Instantly, a wave of humiliated rage rushed straight to his head, and his suddenly clenched fists cracked loudly.

In his mind, even though they were divorced, Yu Fei was still his woman, and they still had a lovely daughter together.

Frowning, he listened closely again. The sounds from before seemed to have completely vanished, making him suspect for a moment that he was hallucinating.

Yu Fei wouldn't just sleep with anyone on a whim, he comforted himself. He then leaned forward, pressing his ear against the door, listening intently.

Suspicious by nature, he remained pressed against the door, listening for a full two to three minutes. Only after confirming he was making a fuss over nothing did he finally ring the doorbell.

Inside, Yu Fei had put on her nightgown with the help of the helpful citizen, Chen Ang.

Chen Ang then put away the document bag, exchanged a look with Yu Fei, and walked toward the front door.

The door opened, and Chen Ang flashed a smile at Tu Yuandong.

Meanwhile, Tu Yuandong stood frozen as if struck by lightning, his mind buzzing incessantly.

Why was it Chen Ang?

Why was he here?

Had he already discovered that his son wasn't his? Had he come to discuss how to deal with me with Yu Fei?

A storm of thoughts rushed in with overwhelming force.

Within three seconds, Tu Yuandong experienced the most thrilling yet agonizing moment of his life.

"Yu Fei, since your friend is here, I'll head home first. Let's hang out again when you're free," Chen Ang said, nodding to Tu Yuandong before looking at Yu Fei with a smile.

"Okay, remember to call me." Yu Fei smiled back and waved. The lingering flush of passion that had just subsided lent her an incredibly charming and seductive air.

Watching their intimate interaction, Tu Yuandong's blood boiled instantly. Barely able to keep his footing, his expression changed drastically, and he quickly stepped into the house.

At this moment, he recalled the wanton sounds he had faintly heard earlier.

He didn't even react as the gifts and fruit basket fell from his hands, quickly walking past the foyer.

He then saw Yu Fei leaning sideways on the sofa, holding a glass of red wine. Her posture was lazy, one thin shoulder strap had slipped down, her face was flushed, and her entire body exuded a relaxed, casual vibe.

He looked back at Chen Ang, then stared at Yu Fei, asking in a low voice, "What is your relationship?"

Yu Fei didn't even spare him a glance. She turned her head toward Chen Ang and said, "Drive slowly on your way back. It looks like it's about to rain outside."

"Yeah, I know," Chen Ang replied with a smile. He pulled the door open a bit wider, stepped onto the threshold, and suddenly turned back. "Oh, right, please tell Xiao Ying for me that Uncle promised to take her to the amusement park this weekend."

Yu Fei's red lips curved, a smile she couldn't suppress showing in her eyes. As if in perfect sync with him, she replied, "Do you really want Xiao Ying to call you Daddy? I'll tell her. Drive safely."

Chen Ang waved to her, turned, and walked out.

His face was filled with uncontrollable delight; he wanted to laugh out loud. It felt as if he had eaten a ginseng fruit, every pore on his body feeling incredibly refreshed.

At this moment, he could imagine how wonderful Tu Yuandong's expression must be, and he could also imagine how Yu Fei would avenge the pain Tu Yuandong had caused her.

Yu Fei felt an unprecedented sense of exhilaration as well. It was as if her interaction with Chen Ang just now was washing over her senses again and again.

She finally realized that getting revenge on someone who disgusted her could be so satisfying.

At this moment, she could somewhat understand Chen Ang's mental state of letting go of internal conflict after being cuckolded.

If there's a problem, blame others first; ask "on what grounds" more often; and if you have no morals, moral standards can't hold you hostage.

As a pawn in their little game, President Tu, Tu Yuandong, was now pale, his entire body trembling slightly.

Chen Ang and Yu Fei slept together?

Damn it, he slept with my woman?

And he wants my daughter to call him Daddy?

Inexplicably, he thought of how his own son had called this man "Daddy" for six years, and he also remembered how he used to mock Chen Ang for being a cuckold and a sucker.

Now, those words he had spoken and things he had done were like a heavy slap in the face, an unstoppable boomerang.

Slapping him until he saw stars, and striking him until he could barely breathe.

A massive sense of humiliation gnawed at his pitiful self-esteem. At this moment, he was like a suppressed volcano, wanting nothing more than to unleash all his emotions.

His remaining sanity was nearly swept away by this wave of insult. He pinched his own thigh, constantly reminding himself to stay calm.

He kept telling himself that he was here today to ask for a favor.

Everything was to beg for the Road and Bridge Bureau contract; he couldn't afford to lose his temper right now.

Chen Ang, that bastard Chen, damn him.

Clenching his jaw, he swallowed all his words, leaving only an incredibly venomous and hostile gaze fixed on Chen Ang's retreating back.

"Who is he?" Tu Yuandong suppressed his rage with all his might, slowly walking over to sit on the side sofa, fearing he would be too choked up to stand.

"A friend."

"What kind of friend?"

"Does it have anything to do with you?"

Yu Fei glanced up at him, then lowered her eyelashes to look at the wine glass in her hand.

Her gaze was incredibly light, so light that it required no effort at all to peel away several layers of Tu Yuandong's skin.

"Did you sleep together?" Tu Yuandong felt his teeth trembling.

"Uh-huh..." Yu Fei brought the red wine to her lips, took a light sniff, and looked up at Tu Yuandong. "He's stronger than you, knows how to play better than you, lasts longer than you, and has more tricks than you."

"I feel like I wasted the last ten years of my life. Only now do I know what real pleasure is."

Tu Yuandong felt like he was sitting on pins and needles. Clenching his teeth, the veins in his jaw throbbed.

Yu Fei's words utterly stripped him of all his dignity as a man, making him feel like spitting out a mouthful of blood.
