Chapter 59 Tu Yuandong Offers Himself a Gun
After a tacit exchange, Shen Pianran composed her expression and asked, "However, are you sure it will be classified as a non-performing asset?"
Chen Ang opened his phone, pulled up a document, and handed it over. "It's information that cost a hundred thousand. Whether it's reliable or not will be proven later."
After reading it, Shen Pianran's eyes held an indescribable expression. She stared at Chen Ang for two seconds and said, "After we acquire this building, how do you plan to handle it?"
Chen Ang shrugged and said calmly, "The general contract with the Road and Bridge Bureau will continue to be executed. The main construction and decoration payments will be paid in full, but the decoration subcontractor must be changed."
"As for Tu Yuandong's contract, we'll talk to him when the time comes. How much compensation is paid will be decided by the court."
Shen Pianran once again showed an 'as I thought' expression. She asked, "This matter still requires the Road and Bridge Bureau; will they be willing to cooperate?"
Chen Ang nodded without speaking.
But in his mind, the image of Yu Fei's plump and fiery body emerged.
Seeing him so confident, Shen Pianran's eyes gleamed with brilliance as she looked at Chen Ang.
A moment later, she suddenly smiled. "My big boss, when you said you wanted to buy an office building this morning, I thought you were crazy. Now that I hear you want to buy an office building worth six hundred million, I realize your proposal this morning was actually quite conservative."
Chen Ang kept his mouth shut and just stared at her intensely, but the curve of his lips revealed his mood at that moment.
Both smiled, and as they locked eyes, Chen Ang's phone on the table rang.
The screen displayed the name Chen Zhuo. He picked up the phone and answered it casually, "Brother, there are some issues with the accounts at the Company. Are you free to come over now?"
Chen Ang hung up the phone.
Shen Pianran knew something must have happened. She stood up and said, "I will communicate with Sister Xin about the office building. Also, you need to have Tan Xiaolei come over as soon as possible. It would be best if he participates in the team formation from beginning to end."
Chen Ang nodded, said a quick goodbye, and left.
Before closing the door, he turned back, pointed to his own eyes, and said to Shen Pianran, "Your case might have a result soon. Set your mind at ease and pay more attention to resting."
Shen Pianran was slightly stunned before a curve appeared at the corner of her mouth. "Boss, are you caring for me again? Aren't you afraid I'll be moved?"
"You're overthinking it. Next, I need you to help me keep an eye on the contractual loopholes between the Company and Yuandong Decoration. Also, you need to take the helm for the legal work of buying the office building."
After tossing out these words, Chen Ang closed the office door.
Shen Pianran furrowed her brows, wrinkled her nose, bit her lower lip, and swung her fist fiercely at the closed door, cursing in a low voice, "Vile capitalist."
The office building of Yuda Supply Chain is in the Bin City Development Zone.
When Chen Ang arrived, it was just past four o'clock. He parked the car in front of the building, and when he pushed open the glass door to enter, there was no one at the front desk.
The first-floor lobby was also empty. Going up to the third floor, most of the offices on both sides of the corridor were closed.
Only the finance office, the second room at the end, had its door open.
Chen Ang hadn't encountered anyone stopping him the whole way, and his brows couldn't help but furrow tighter and tighter.
Walking into the finance office, Chen Zhuo was struggling with a stack of bills on the desk, and he didn't look very well.
"What's wrong?"
Chen Ang came behind him, took a few looks, and asked.
Chen Zhuo turned around. Upon seeing Chen Ang, he found a document and opened it. "You look at this first."
Chen Ang glanced at it and saw rows of items marked with a pen.
There were supply names, categories, amounts, and payment cycles. Each item was marked in red and blue to distinguish the average price and the actual supply price.
"I've been checking the supply flow and accounts of the Company for the past two years, and I found something very interesting."
Chen Zhuo flipped to the first few pages and pointed at one of the lines with his finger. "This Yuandong Decoration's supply price at the Company is 5% lower than the market average, and it has been like this since three years ago. It has never changed."
"Yuandong Decoration? 5% lower?"
Chen Ang's originally furrowed brows instantly relaxed, and there was even a hint of excitement in his eyes.
"Yes. It's not a bulk discount, but the contract price itself is 5% lower than the market price. I checked; the Company's gross profit is only 8%. This is completely working for someone else's benefit."
"And their payment cycle is much looser than other customers. Others pay in full in one month, but they take two. This kind of treatment is unique to the Company among all the Company's customers."
Chen Zhuo paused, and his gaze turned cold as he looked up at his brother. "I checked the signatory at the time; it was the former Bin City regional sales manager, Jiang Wei. He was the one who signed the long-term supply contract with the Company."
Chen Ang didn't speak, just nodded.
"Brother, we might not have been able to do anything about it before, but now this is messing with your money. We absolutely cannot let it be unclear."
Seeing his older brother looking so calm, Chen Zhuo couldn't help but feel anxious.
Chen Ang patted his younger brother's shoulder and laughed. "It's not that big of a deal, don't worry. By the way, where is that Jiang Wei? Is he in the Company?"
He didn't ask for more details but went straight to looking for the person.
"That's what I wanted to say. This guy came to the Company for a meeting this morning, but he disappeared in the afternoon. I asked people in the office, and they said he went out for business. I've called him several times, but no one answers."
Chen Zhuo reported everything in detail.
Chen Ang paused inwardly, immediately understanding that he was likely planning to run away, but he wasn't in a rush.
Seeing his younger brother still looking grave, he smiled and asked, "How did you find these things?"
Chen Zhuo wiped his nose. "The day you called and told me to come to Bin City, that branch manager fired me."
"I also didn't expect that you would acquire the Company and even arrange for me to be the supervisor. Since this power fell into my hands, if I didn't investigate that idiot thoroughly, I would have worked in vain."
"Then, as I kept checking, I found many problems."
"Awesome." Chen Ang laughed upon hearing this.
This is truly a coincidence.
Checking the time, he immediately wrapped his arm around Chen Zhuo's shoulder. "Pack up everything you found. Tonight, come with me to have dinner at Yu Liang's place. We'll talk about it then."
Chen Zhuo looked bewildered, not understanding why his brother was so calm, but he was accustomed to listening to Chen Ang.
After packing up the materials, the brothers left the Company together.
Walking out of the Company, Chen Ang called Shen Pianran, asking her to find a dealership to order another car, and then hung up after saying a few words.
Getting into the car, he couldn't help but sigh in his mind. Tu Yuandong's actions were really fast; he had just provoked him at noon, and by the afternoon, he had already made a move.
That Tu Yuandong would be on guard against the Company—Chen Ang had been very clear about this since he realized someone was tailing him last night.
He just didn't expect the bastard to move so quickly and make decisions so decisively.
If it weren't for Chen Zhuo discovering the problem, there's no telling when this matter would have exploded.
At this moment, he sneered inwardly.
He was just thinking about having Shen Pianran look for faults starting with the contract, and he had delivered such a big handle himself.
He thought to himself that perhaps this was when luck is on one's side, the world works in one's favor.
The bad luck the family had before had probably all dissipated.
