181: Chapter 181 The Neon's Counterattack
On the wasteland of the Mexico-USA border, dust swirled in the hot wind, filling the hazy gray skyline. Over a dozen heavy trucks were lined up, silently parked in the desolate border zone, their bodies glinting with a cold, hard metallic luster under the scorching sun. The people on the trucks were an action team that had secretly infiltrated the USA under the secret orders of the neon high command.
A Mexican snakehead, cigarette dangling from his mouth, approached the leading Neon leader. He raised his hand and pointed toward the distant border inspection wall, his tone carrying a hint of cunning: "See that? There's a hidden tunnel under the border wall. The trucks can't get through at all. To transport goods, you can only have people crawl through the tunnel."
The Neon leader looked up and indeed saw a tunnel entrance half-hidden by weeds at the base of the wall. He nodded slightly, pulled out a thick stack of US dollars, and handed it over: "No problem. This is the payment. You can leave now."
The snakehead took the bills, his fingertips quickly counting them. After confirming the amount was correct, an ill-intentioned smile spread across his face. His gaze swept over the tightly closed truck containers, and he spoke tentatively: "Looking at your setup, you're bringing contraband across the border, aren't you? I wonder what kind of good stuff it is. Why not share a little for me to try?"
At first, the Neon leader didn't react, but a moment later, it suddenly dawned on him. This greedy snakehead actually mistook them for ordinary drug traffickers. His face instantly darkened, his eyes cold and sharp, as he barked word by word: "Don't ask about things you shouldn't know. Take the money and get lost immediately!"
The smile on the snakehead's face froze instantly, turning into a cold, sinister grin. He suddenly drew a standard-issue pistol from his waist, the dark muzzle pointing straight at the Neon leader's chest, his tone arrogant and greedy: "Nonono, for such a large shipment, this little bit of money won't satisfy me. If you want to cross the border smoothly, you'll have to provide more benefits!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he immediately pulled out his phone and quickly dialed a number. Within half a minute, the deafening roar of engines came from the dirt road in the distance, accompanied by piercing honks, drawing closer.
The Neon leader looked up and saw seven or eight pickup trucks speeding toward them, kicking up clouds of dust. The truck beds were filled with fully armed, fierce-looking Mexican militants, each holding firearms and looking aggressive.
Watching the approaching armed personnel, a hint of ruthlessness flashed in the Neon leader's eyes. He gritted his teeth and hissed in his native language: "You're really looking for death!"
The snakehead didn't understand his words. He only cared about turning his head to look at his arriving accomplices, his heart full of delusions of successful extortion and overnight wealth, completely letting down his guard.
In the moment he was distracted, the Neon leader moved extremely fast, pulling out an electronic key and pressing the open button hard with his fingertip.
The next second, the containers of the dozen or so trucks parked side-by-side automatically unlocked and slammed open all at once!
A shrill, ear-piercing howl, like the roar of a demon, instantly pierced the sky. One by one, humanoid monsters with strange shapes and ferocious auras leapt out of the containers. They made heavy thuds as they landed, their crimson eyes staring intently at the armed men ahead.
"Kill them all! Leave no one alive!"
The Neon leader roared sharply, his body quickly lunging to the side to dodge the snakehead's muzzle.
Receiving the command, the group of monsters instantly erupted with incredible speed, charging frantically toward the speeding pickup trucks like uncontrolled beasts.
The snakehead and his accomplices were completely dumbfounded. Everyone froze on the spot, staring in shock at this group of neither-human-nor-monster creatures, their minds going blank, unable to make any reaction.
By the time they regained their senses and wanted to raise their guns to resist, they had already missed their chance.
These monsters were unimaginably fast, reaching within twenty meters of the pickup trucks in an instant. In each monster's hands, they were surprisingly carrying an M2 heavy machine gun, with dense ammunition belts wrapped around their bodies, fully armed and murderous.
Then, nearly a hundred M2 heavy machine guns fired simultaneously!
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bangβ!"
The deafening gunfire instantly swept across the entire border area. Dense bullets poured out like a rainstorm, tearing through the air and slamming hard into the bodies of the pickup trucks. The sound of metal clashing, explosions, and screams mixed together. In just over ten seconds, the gunfire abruptly stopped.
Looking at those pickup trucks again, they had long been riddled with holes and turned into scrap metal; several had even exploded into fireballs, burning fiercely. As for the Mexican militants on the trucks, they were long gone, their remains scattered across the ground in a bloody mess.
The snakehead on the side was scared out of his wits. Just as he was about to turn and run, a monster lunged at him, instantly finishing him off, and he made no more sound.
The Neon leader stood on the spot, looking at this group of fearless war machines with staggering combat power. A arrogant smile curled at the corner of his mouth, and a sense of invincibility surged in his heart. The slaughter just now was just a small test; their true goal was to step into the territory of the USA and stir up a terrifying storm! He wanted the whole world to know that Neon was never a lamb to be bullied!
With a wave of his hand, he gave the order to advance. The many monsters lined up obediently and followed him, orderly entering the tunnel, quietly crossing the border, and stepping onto the soil of the USA.
Two days later, Washington, USA, near the Capitol Building.
A heavy truck of the same model as before, taking advantage of the early morning crowd, quietly parked not far from the Capitol Building. At 9:00 AM sharp, as the traffic on the street gradually increased, the rear container of the truck silently opened on its own.
The group of monsters, which had long been ready, surged out of the container like a black tide. Each still held an M2 heavy machine gun, ammunition belts wrapped around them, their eyes crimson and violent, as they frantically charged toward the Capitol Building without a word.
They killed everyone they saw without mercy, their dense firepower instantly sweeping through the entire building. Before the security forces of the USA could make any effective response, the Capitol Building was completely breached. Corridors, halls, and deliberation chambers were filled with blood and wailing. In a short time, the entire building had become a river of blood, turning into a living hell.
