98: assassination
Through detailed interrogation, Bodo had learned all about the military deployment within Luoda City.
Because the rebel uprising was nationwide, the government of An Country had been constantly deploying troops everywhere to suppress the rebellion. Furthermore, Luoda City previously had three satellite cities that were defensible—specifically the three small towns belonging to the Government Army that were occupied by Satans Armed Forces yesterday. As a result, the military strength currently in Luoda City was not particularly formidable.
In total, there were four regiments with over ten thousand soldiers stationed there. The infantry regiment that had attacked previously was one of them. In addition to the infantry, there were two armored battalions, one artillery battalion, and one air force detachment within the city.
In terms of firepower, Satans Armed Forces naturally could not compare to the opposition, but as the saying goes, when it comes to individual soldier quality, these African armies were still far behind.
Thus, Bodo continued to execute the most reliable plan: decapitation strikes, harassment, and assassination!
It was no exaggeration to say that in this world, as long as a location was confirmed, escaping assassination at the hands of the Death Warriors was essentially impossible.
With the strategic deployment complete, Bodo dispatched a team of fifty Black Death Warriors. Their targets: all the high-ranking officials of the An Country government currently in Luoda City.
The supreme leader of the An Country Government Army was named Loren, who was also the current president of An Country.
Loren was an extremely selfish and violent man. During his rule over An Country, he used violent means to eliminate many competitors and exploited his power to amass wealth, sell off national resources, and line his own pockets. An Country's current state was largely due to this man.
However, Loren was very skilled at winning people over, especially within the military. Many generals with real power were his loyal subordinates, forcing many who were dissatisfied with him to simply swallow their resentment.
Later, the emergence of the Rebels was due to an error in one of Loren's decisions. An Country was not only rich in mineral resources but was also an oil-rich nation. For the sake of profit, Loren did not follow the instructions of the USA and exported crude oil in large quantities, causing crude oil prices to drop significantly. This led to many capitalists in the USA losing a lot of money. As everyone knows, the USA is a nation controlled by capital; having harmed the interests of these capitalists, they naturally would not let Loren off.
However, An Country was far away in Africa, and the USA had plenty of its own problems now, so it couldn't personally deal with Loren. Instead, it secretly funded resistance figures opposed to Loren and established the Rebels... In a luxurious manor, Loren was in his study, smoking an expensive cigar and listening to a report from a subordinate.
Upon hearing that the troops sent to suppress the bandits had been wiped out due to a command error, Loren grabbed a gold ashtray from his desk and smashed it onto the floor.
"Useless! A bunch of useless trash! And they call themselves top military graduates? Dammit! They can't even handle a bunch of disorganized bandits!" Loren cursed furiously.
Seeing Loren like this, the subordinate below didn't even dare to breathe loudly, fearing he would be caught in the crossfire.
After a while, Loren gradually calmed down, sat back in his chair, and said, "Let the matter of the bandits rest for now. Our current military strength isn't sufficient anyway. However, we must prepare our defenses against that group of bandits. We can't let them catch us off guard again. All checkpoints entering and leaving Luoda City must be scrutinized carefully."
"Yes, Your Excellency President!" the subordinate immediately replied.
Right at that moment, outside Loren's manor, a five-man squad of Death Warriors had already arrived.
Looking at the high surrounding walls and the electrified barbed wire, it was clear that Loren still placed great importance on his personal safety.
However, for the Death Warriors, these were minor issues.
Having received equipment replenishment, the Death Warriors were now much better equipped than before, no longer as restricted as they used to be.
"Captain, what's the plan? Same as last time?" one of the Death Warriors asked.
"No, this time we're going in through the front door. Lao San, it's up to you. Blast an entrance for me here. Once we're in, show no mercy!" the Death Warrior captain replied with some excitement.
"Understood, Captain!" the Death Warrior named Lao San replied.
Immediately after, Lao San took down an RPG from his back, loaded the ammunition, signaled his companions to get ready, and then pulled the trigger.
Following that, a loud explosion blasted a hole directly into the manor's perimeter wall.
The Death Warrior captain and his team members rushed through the opening immediately.
Then, one of the Death Warriors took out a weapon and set it on the ground. If anyone else had seen this, they would have been stunned on the spot. Dammit, it was actually an American-made M2 heavy machine gun!
You should know that an American-made M2 heavy machine gun weighs about 60kg, which is 120 catties. Adding the ammunition carried, the load could easily exceed 100 kilograms. Only a Death Warrior could handle this; otherwise, no soldier would carry it as mobile fire support!
At this moment, the massive explosion also attracted the Presidential Security within the manor. A security force of dozens quickly assembled towards this location.
To be honest, the weapon configuration of these security forces was quite sophisticated, all advanced European equipment. If they encountered a typical armed raid, it would be hard to say who would win or lose in a breakthrough.
But what they encountered was a unit composed entirely of Death Warriors.
These security guards had only just arrived on the scene when tongues of fire accurately sought them out.
Instantly, severed limbs were scattered everywhere, and blood sprayed like a fountain, splashing all over.
These security guards were wearing bulletproof vests, but under the strafing of 12.7mm bullets, the vests were like paper, shattering upon contact. You should know that the M2 was originally developed to fight armored units; one can only imagine the result when it hits a human body.
With the M2's suppressive fire, the Death Warrior captain and the other members calmly fired single shots from the side. In less than a minute, the security forces gathered there were completely wiped out.
It wasn't that the security was weak, but that the Death Warriors were effectively cheating. Even if the security hid behind cover, the M2 only needed a few bursts to easily shatter the cover, leaving them nowhere to run.
After dealing with the security, the Death Warrior captain led his team members and cautiously pressed toward the villa in the center of the manor.
The fierce battle within the manor naturally alerted Loren, but he remained very calm. This wasn't the first time he'd seen such a scene. Countless people in An Country wanted him dead, but not a single one had succeeded.
This was Loren's confidence in his meticulously built security force.
Soon, after the gunfire ceased, Loren led a few subordinates down to the first floor of the villa, waiting as usual for the security to bring the enemies' corpses before him.
However, this time Loren had miscalculated. When the villa's main door was opened, a group of armed strangers in black uniforms, fully equipped, walked in.
Seeing this, Loren jumped up in shock.
"You? What's going on? Where are my guards? Security! Security!!" Loren shouted incoherently.
