34: Bao Da Si!

Although registering a company wasn't as tedious as it used to be, it still took Deng Yue and Fang Fang a full day of running around to get it done.

The other groups had also made progress; of course, Deng Yue would still need to go in person tomorrow to make the final decisions.

In the evening, Deng Yue called Qin Yang to share what she had done that day. Qin Yang listened and praised her, providing her with plenty of emotional value—this was a little trick for interaction between couples.

As they talked, Qin Yang remembered the most important thing: he hadn't given Deng Yue any money. One shouldn't underestimate the initial investment for a small advertising company; renting space and equipment wasn't cheap. Deng Yue had only recently started working, so it must be difficult for her to come up with that much money. Qin Yang then asked, "How much funding are you still short of? How about I give you two hundred thousand first?"

Deng Yue replied, "No need, I've already received a startup sponsorship from my parents. It's enough for the initial investment. Hehe, thank you, hubby!"

Hearing that Deng Yue had taken money from his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Qin Yang felt relieved, but he still added, "Remember to come to me if it's not enough."

"I know!"

The two chatted on the phone for a while longer before going to sleep... Because today was the day of Bao Da's trial, Qin Yang got up after eight o'clock, preparing to pick up his maternal aunt to go to court.

However, the first thing Qin Yang did upon waking up was to arrange the refreshed Death Warriors. It was a new week, and this week's Third-level Death Soldier appeared punctually as usual.

Third-level Death Soldier: Qian Jin

Skill: Accountant (Master-level, comparable to a real-world Senior Accountant)

Seeing that the new Third-level Death Soldier was a financial talent, a smile appeared on Qin Yang's face. This was exactly the kind of talent he lacked. Although the group was being restructured and Zhao Zhi had already hired a financial team through a headhunter, outsiders were never as comfortable to use as his own people. Although Qin Yang wasn't sure exactly how capable a Master-level accountant was, he could guess based on Zhao Zhi, Ma Jun, and the others. After all, they were all same-level talents rewarded by the system; Qian Jin's abilities would surely not be weaker than Zhao Zhi's and the rest.

Subsequently, Qin Yang had Zhao Zhi come to pick the person up. The other Second-level and First-level Death Warriors were also now under Zhao Zhi's arrangement. As an aside, through the long period of refreshing Death Warriors, Qin Yang had discovered a small bug. Although he still couldn't specify the exact refresh location, he had tried communicating with the system. The system agreed that when refreshing Death Warriors, they could be placed up to twenty meters away from Qin Yang. So now, Qin Yang didn't have to face a dozen large men as soon as he woke up every morning.

When he stayed in a hotel with Deng Yue previously, Qin Yang had booked a suite. When the Death Warriors refreshed, they appeared in another room and were secretly led out by Wang Chao and the others.

It was thanks to this small bug; otherwise, Qin Yang wouldn't have known how to share a room with Deng Yue.

Returning to the main point, after arranging the people, Wang Chao drove Qin Yang to his maternal aunt's house. They picked her up and headed straight for the court. At the court entrance, they met up with Maternal Uncle Si Bo's immediate relatives.

At 9:10 AM, the court officially opened for the session.

Here, Qin Yang also saw Bao Da's family. Their group looked at Qin Yang and the others with gloomy expressions, likely because of the matter regarding the letter of forgiveness. In response, Qin Yang stood in front of his aunt and glared back unceremoniously. Perhaps knowing that Qin Yang was not to be trifled with, the other party had to turn their gaze elsewhere to resolve the awkwardness.

After the trial began, because the evidence was conclusive, everything proceeded smoothly. Bao Da and the others confessed in court and stated they would not appeal.

But the result was as Deng Jun from the Police Office had predicted that day. Among Bao Da's group of criminals, two of Bao Da's lackeys were sentenced to life imprisonment because they took most of the blame. There was no death penalty because they didn't intend to kill at the time; intentional homicide and negligent homicide are two different concepts. When it came to Bao Da, his sentence was actually the shortest, as he was only sentenced to twenty years in prison.

Regarding this result, Qin Yang's eyes were as calm as still water, without a ripple, because this was a result he had inquired about long ago. On the contrary, his aunt's family found it hard to accept. Si Bo's immediate relatives were even clamoring for an appeal. Qin Yang didn't have time to worry about these people; after all, if it weren't for his aunt An Yu, he wouldn't have bothered with this matter. There are many injustices in this world, and Qin Yang couldn't manage them all, nor did he have the ability to.

Of course, regarding this specific matter, since Qin Yang had said he would give his aunt justice, he would certainly do so.

After the verdict came out, the family gallery was in a clamor due to excitement. Qin Yang, amidst the crowd, looked at Bao Da standing in the defendant's dock. Hearing the result, the guy seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, and a smile actually appeared on his face.

Qin Yang knew what he was smiling about. With Bao Da's family background, a twenty-year sentence—it wasn't an exaggeration to say that getting a 'good behavior' credit every year was a given, and every so often he'd perform some minor service or make a small invention. Qin Yang estimated that he would actually only stay inside for seven or eight years at most. This was the reason why Qin Yang chose to take action himself.

If there is no judge in the world, I shall draw my blade and become the King of Hell!

After the court session ended, Qin Yang sent his aunt back home.

On the other side, Bao Da and the others were sent back to the detention center. It was also on this day that the two Death Warriors who had turned themselves in were transferred to the same detention center.

Whether it was a coincidence or arranged by heaven, as luck would have it, the two First-level Death Warriors were assigned to the same cell as Bao Da.

Seeing newcomers arrive, Bao Da maintained his arrogant and domineering attitude from the outside, wanting to teach the two Death Warriors the rules.

Initially, the two Death Warriors didn't want to cause extra trouble; after all, completing the task Qin Yang assigned was the most important thing.

Until a criminal called out 'Second Brother Bao,' at which point the two Death Warriors' eyes lit up. They instantly asked, "You are Bao Da!"

Bao Da thought the two Death Warriors had heard of his reputation and said with a stiff neck, "You've heard of me?"

The two Death Warriors looked at each other and saw the excitement in each other's eyes. Of course, they didn't take action in full view of everyone, because Qin Yang had said to preserve themselves as much as possible while dealing with Bao Da.

"Yeah! Of course we've heard of Boss Bao. We two have known your name for a long time," one of the Death Warriors said, immediately putting on a flattering expression.

Perhaps he was quite satisfied with today's judgment, or perhaps the Death Warrior's flattery pleased him; after that, Bao Da didn't make things too difficult for the two Death Warriors.

However, the two Death Warriors were still assigned by Bao Da to sleep on the bunks closest to the toilet.

Because there were surveillance cameras in the cell, the two Death Warriors didn't act that night. It wasn't until the next morning, when everyone got up and lined up to go to the washroom, that the two Death Warriors made their decision.

Because they had to line up, the flattering Death Warrior from yesterday proactively stood behind Bao Da with a smiling face. Bao Da looked back once, but because the guard was there, he didn't say much.

And so everyone headed to the washroom. Just as they stepped inside, the Death Warrior behind Bao Da suddenly stumbled, and his body crashed heavily into Bao Da. Both of them fell to the ground simultaneously.

When the others reacted and rushed to help them up, they found that Bao Da was bleeding from his nose and mouth and had already stopped breathing. This scene left everyone stunned.

Wait, one collision killed him? Big brother, are you a truck!?

Meanwhile, the Death Warrior stood there looking at a loss, as if he didn't know what to do!

Bao Da was then rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, the Death Warrior's strike was extremely precise. At the moment of falling, the Death Warrior had specifically clenched his right hand into a fist with the index finger knuckle protruding and hammered it fiercely against the back of Bao Da's heart. With the strength of a Death Warrior, let alone a human, even a large wild beast would be killed or crippled by such a heavy blow.

That morning, news of Bao Da's death spread. The cause of death was an accident!

Upon receiving the news, a smile appeared on Qin Yang's face. He then informed his aunt. Although she was very surprised by Bao Da's sudden death, the knot in her heart was finally untied. She kept muttering that the heavens have eyes and that bad people receive their punishment.

Listening to his aunt's muttering, Qin Yang smiled gently. Who could have thought that the 'God' his aunt was muttering about was actually him? However, having this kind of power to strike back was truly intoxicating!
