93: Level 4 assassin Fernando

When Chekov took the computer from Bodo's hands and looked at the order on it, he was stunned for a moment, then broke into a brilliant smile.

"Oh, my dear Leader Bodo, you have truly given me a huge surprise!"

Bodo understood that the other party was referring to the value of the order.

He immediately replied, "Mr. Chekov, listen to me first. I need all these weapons delivered to Dora City within one week. Can you do that?"

"One week? The time is a bit tight; my warehouse is in the Middle East. However, rest assured, no matter what difficulties arise, I will definitely deliver this batch of weapons here within a week. I will absolutely not delay any of your matters." Hearing this, Chekov paused for a moment before replying with great certainty.

"Very well, here's to our first successful collaboration!" Bodo didn't waste any more words and finalized the deal immediately.

...

In a hotel room in the capital of An Country.

Jackal was staring at the remaining members of his team, the room filled with a stifling atmosphere.

"Boss, why didn't you let us go save Mike? With our abilities, even if we couldn't save him, retreating safely wouldn't be difficult. Now, we don't even know who killed Mike!" After a long while, a hoarse voice rang out from the corner. It was the team's demolitions expert, Shore. He and Mike were similar in age and shared common interests; the two had the closest relationship in the team.

Mike had suddenly departed, yet their leader, Jackal, had issued an order to retreat immediately. This left Shore very confused and unable to accept it.

Jackal felt some regret upon hearing his subordinate's questioning, but he was born with a special ability: his perception of danger was far superior to that of ordinary people. That day, after Mike's walkie-talkie suddenly lost connection, Jackal called out many times without response. Immediately after, the hair on his body stood on end. This was how his perception manifested in reality when danger approached. Relying on this ability, Jackal had made a name for himself in the mercenary circle.

Therefore, at that time, after receiving the sensory feedback, Jackal immediately ordered everyone to retreat. However, he had never mentioned this ability to anyone, so he didn't know how to explain his actions that day to his team members. He couldn't just say, "I have a sixth sense that we would run into trouble if we stayed." That would be a joke. Mercenary work is a job where you live with your head on the line; such a reason would be hard to convince anyone.

"Shore, I know you are very frustrated, and I am also very sad about Mike's departure. But that day, I truly felt an unprecedented crisis approaching. Believe it or not, I, Jackal, brought you all out to make money, not to get you killed. That is why I issued the order to retreat. Of course, I will absolutely not ignore Mike's death."

"We have been executing this mission for a while now. Consider this retreat a few days of rest. Over these next few days, I will contact another mercenary group. Next Monday, once everyone is gathered, we will return to Dora City to find out exactly what happened to Mike," Jackal replied.

Upon hearing that Jackal intended to stand up for Mike, the faces of the few team members finally softened. After all, even as mercenaries, dying on the battlefield was one thing, but no one wanted to die without knowing why. As teammates, even without mentioning revenge, they had an obligation to investigate the truth behind Mike's death.

Time flew by. A month had quietly passed since Qin Yang upgraded his system to level four. Once midnight passed today, Qin Yang would add another Fourth-level Death Warrior to his ranks.

Qin Yang was quite looking forward to every Fourth-level Death Warrior. Even if a Fourth-level Death Warrior's skills were useless, based solely on their physical fitness—which was thirty times that of an ordinary person—they were guaranteed to be human beasts. Each one was an asset that increased his own foundation.

Once midnight passed, a blue light flashed before Qin Yang's eyes, and a burly black man appeared in front of him.

Qin Yang hurriedly clicked on the profile of the person in front of him.

Fourth-level Death Warrior: Fernando

Skills: Grandmaster-level Political Ability, Grandmaster-level Oratory. His speeches are filled with a bewitching power that can exert a huge influence on ordinary people with low education.

After reading Fernando's profile, Qin Yang's eyes lit up. Isn't this a copy of the guy with the little mustache! However, the little mustache's oratory ability should be god-level, as it had a huge influence even on educated people. Although Fernando's ability was one level lower, for Africa—a land where the education level is average, or perhaps even barren—Fernando's ability was simply a god-tier skill.

The reason Qin Yang let Bodo stand at the forefront was, firstly, to hide himself, and secondly, for the sense of identification. After all, pushing a yellow-skinned Death Warrior to a high position in Africa would result in almost zero sense of identification. In fact, racial identification never disappears. While Bodo was good at fighting, he basically had no political acumen. Even if An Country were completely occupied by Qin Yang, it would still need an intellectual figure to control it.

Now with Fernando, it perfectly solved Qin Yang's urgent need. Coupled with Fernando's god-tier oratory skill, even though Qin Yang only occupied two border cities of An Country, the entire An Country could basically be considered to be in Qin Yang's pocket.

Thinking of this, Qin Yang said, "Fernando!"

"Boss, I am here," Fernando replied, bowing.

"In a moment, have one of your partners bring you up to speed on the current situation. After you understand it, I need you to use your abilities to open up the situation locally. Whether you establish a religion or a new party, I need you to be able to pull together a large team that supports you by the time I need you again. During this period, if you have any needs, you can request support from me," Qin Yang replied.

"As you wish, my boss," Fernando agreed immediately.

Immediately, Qin Yang found a Death Warrior to lead Fernando and begin understanding the current situation in An Country.

One day later, a support request from Fernando was reported. Qin Yang took a look; Fernando's request was to lift the current martial law in the city. Qin Yang thought about it and agreed. Anyway, the city was currently in a state of signal jamming. As long as he controlled the population from flowing outward, information about Dora City could be kept confidential for a while longer. By the time Chekov's weapons arrived, even if the news leaked, it wouldn't have much of an impact on the situation.

Six hours after the news spread that martial law in Dora City was lifted, some local residents cautiously stepped out of their homes. There was no other way; although Qin Yang had his men give these residents some supplies every day, materials were still extremely scarce and needed to be replenished.

When the local residents saw that there were indeed only a few armed personnel left on the streets, and that they were turning a blind eye to them, the residents became much bolder and began to go out to purchase goods.

Gradually, after noticing that those unidentified armed personnel were truly harmless to them, the anxious hearts of the residents of Dora City finally eased a bit, and the atmosphere gradually ceased to be as deathly silent as it had been before.
