74: Using power to oppress others
Hearing that they were looking for Wu Bin, the people already in the private room all looked towards a bald, fat man sitting by the mahjong table.
Qin Yang followed their gaze. To the former Qin Yang, Wu Bin was just a nobody; he had only heard of his reputation but had never met him.
The bald, fat man certainly had the demeanor of someone from the underworld—a face full of intimidating flesh, a large gold chain around his neck, and his bare upper body, like the little brats before him, was covered in tattoos. He was clearly a difficult character to mess with.
Seeing that they were looking for him, Wu Bin knew he couldn't hide, so he straightforwardly said, “I am Wu Bin. Is there something you need, Brother? I don't think I know you, do I?”
Upon hearing this, Qin Yang walked up to Wu Bin, casually pulled up a chair, and sat directly opposite him. He then crossed his legs and said, “It doesn't matter whether you know me or not. But I came specifically for you today. Your subordinates blocked me in public today and even invoked your name. Who else should I look for but you?”
“It’s you!” Wu Bin immediately recalled the incident where his subordinate Chen Nan and others came to him crying, bruised and swollen.
Wu Bin then continued, “Brother, I remember you were the ones who benefited today. Your subordinates beat my younger brothers quite badly. I didn't go looking for you, yet you came knocking on my door. Isn't this going a bit too far?”
“Heh, then let me tell you, I came here specifically to oppress you. Do you have a problem with that?” Qin Yang replied scornfully, looking at Wu Bin.
“You, you f*cking...” Wu Bin, provoked by Qin Yang's disdainful tone, instantly wanted to stand up. However, the Death Warriors behind him immediately grabbed Wu Bin by the neck and slammed his face onto the mahjong table. Before Wu Bin could utter his next word, his face was pressed down, and the blood spilling from his nose and mouth due to the violent impact choked back whatever he intended to say.
“Do you have a problem with that?” Looking at Wu Bin's miserable state, Qin Yang's heart remained calm, and he asked again.
“I refuse to accept this! You're f*cking bullying the few with the many! If you have guts, let go of me and fight me one-on-one!” Wu Bin struggled and shouted.
Wu Bin's reaction left Qin Yang speechless. Since he started his rise, this was truly the first time Qin Yang had encountered someone so stubborn. A knife was practically at his neck, yet he still dared to resist. Qin Yang didn't know whether to call him stupid or a true desperado.
However, Qin Yang knew how to handle this kind of person. If his bones were hard, why not just break them?
So Qin Yang laughed playfully and said, “One-on-one! Sure, I’ll give you that chance. But what happens if you lose?”
“Pah! If I lose, I’ll submit to your disposal!” Wu Bin spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva, his face ferocious.
“OK!” Qin Yang replied.
Qin Yang then stood up and walked to the other side: “Let him go. Come on, let me see your capability, and if it’s as tough as your mouth!”
The Death Warrior holding Wu Bin obeyed Qin Yang’s command, released his grip on the back of Wu Bin’s neck, and stepped back, waiting for Wu Bin to straighten up.
Feeling the hand behind him release, Wu Bin crawled up from the mahjong table, wiped the blood from his face, raised his fist, and lunged toward the Death Warrior.
But the next second, Wu Bin froze where he stood. The Death Warrior, seeing Wu Bin attack, also threw a punch, but the Death Warrior’s speed was too fast. His fist struck later but arrived first, slamming directly into Wu Bin's abdomen. The Death Warrior had used only twenty percent of his strength, but even that was more than an ordinary person could endure.
The intense pain surging from his abdomen to his brain instantly incapacitated Wu Bin. Moments later, he slowly knelt on the ground, his face pale, cold sweat soaking his forehead, looking like a dead dog!
“Tsk tsk! I gave you a chance, but you couldn't handle it! Do you still have a problem this time?” Seeing Wu Bin kneeling, Qin Yang asked for the third time.
After a long while, Wu Bin recovered slightly. This time, his eyes were exceptionally clear as he replied, “No more problems. I lost. I’ll keep my word; I submit to your disposal.”
“Heh, I know you comply outwardly but not inwardly. We've played the dark way, now let's play the white way. I'll give you one more chance: call the person with the highest status you know and see if they can scare me off. If they can, I will leave immediately. If not, you will be my dog from now on. Whatever I tell you to do, you must do it! Understand?” Qin Yang chuckled.
Upon hearing this, Wu Bin's expression became volatile. With so many people watching, his previous surrender could be explained away as 'a man under the eaves must bow his head.' But the opponent giving him another chance, a chance to call in support, was clearly meant to completely crush him into the mud, ensuring he could never rise again in this lifetime.
A few seconds later, Wu Bin gritted his teeth and said, “Fine!”
He then picked up the phone on the table, skillfully found a number, and dialed it.
“Brother-in-law, it’s me. I’m in trouble here. Someone wants to crush me, and I have no choice but to call you.” After the call connected, Wu Bin spoke directly.
The other end was silent for a few seconds before asking, “Do you know where they came from?”
“I’m not sure. My subordinate offended them, and they came straight to my door,” Wu Bin replied.
“Alright, hand the phone to the person opposite you.”
Wu Bin obediently passed the phone in Qin Yang’s direction. The Death Warrior beside him took the phone and then handed it to Qin Yang.
“I am the Chief Official of the Mo County Police Office. Friend, can you give me some face?” After Qin Yang answered the phone, the person on the other end spoke just as directly.
“Heh, I’m sorry, but you are not qualified enough for me to give you face. Wait up, someone else will call you shortly,” Qin Yang said with a laugh, then hung up the phone.
Following that, Qin Yang took out his own phone and dialed a number.
“Hello? President Qin?”
“Brother Geng, it’s me. I have something I need your help with!”
“Haha, President Qin, you jest. Ever since you saved my daughter, you have been Geng Jun’s life benefactor. Just tell me what it is; you don’t need to ask for help!” Geng Jun said frankly.
“Alright, I’ll be direct then. I’m currently in Mo County, and I’ve run into some trouble here. Now the Chief Official of the Mo County Police Office wants to get involved. Can you handle it?”
“Did anyone die?” Geng Jun asked, instead of confirming whether he could handle it.
“No.”
“Good. I understand. Don’t worry, as long as no one dies, the authorities won’t intervene. Do you need me to personally resolve the trouble?” Geng Jun continued to ask.
“No need, thank you, Brother Geng. I can resolve this trouble myself,” Qin Yang replied.
“Alright, contact me anytime if anything happens.”
Then both parties hung up the phone.
Geng Jun was one of the people who had blocked the gate at the pharmaceutical factory last time. His identity was the Chief Official of the Sui City Police Office. Sui City is a prefecture-level city, and it is Mo County's superior city.
Not long after hanging up Geng Jun’s call, Wu Bin’s phone rang again.
This time, Qin Yang didn't listen; Wu Bin answered the call.
Once connected, his brother-in-law immediately said, “Accept defeat. Satisfy his demands to the best of your ability, and pray he spares you this time.”
Having said that, the person on the other end hung up.
