84: Deng Jun was numb to the operation.

After dismissing Zhang Zhenlin, Qin Gang and the other two found a secluded corner, and with a powerful leap, they vaulted over the low wall of the residential building.

Their eyesight was far superior to that of ordinary people; through the windows of the house, they could see the targets they were looking for talking inside.

They exchanged glances and immediately quickened their pace.

Arriving at the entrance, Qin Gang lifted his large foot and kicked the iron gate of the house.

With a loud boom!

The entire iron gate was sent flying into the room by Qin Gang's powerful, charged kick.

It was a coincidence that one of the targets happened to be sitting directly facing the iron gate. The gate, acting like a cannonball, slammed into him. He didn't even have time to scream before he was sent flying by the gate and crashed into the wall inside.

Immediately after, Qin Gang and the other two rushed into the room as if they had teleported, appearing before the remaining four targets, who stared at them in disbelief.

Bang, bang, bang, bang!

A series of striking sounds followed, and within two seconds, the room fell into silence!

"Done. Call that guy surnamed Zhang. Tieniu, pull the one embedded in the wall out too," Qin Gang said calmly, looking at the four targets lying on the ground, who were barely breathing.

"Alright!" Wang Chao and Tieniu replied simultaneously.

Wang Chao made the call, while Tieniu went to the iron gate embedded in the wall. A pool of blood was already flowing beneath it. Tieniu found two gaps, inserted his hands, and with a forceful tug, pulled the gate down.

Immediately after, a corpse that was no longer recognizable as human was exposed before Tieniu.

Tieniu frowned, then grabbed a relatively clean corner of the corpse's clothing and, with a heave, lifted the corpse, which felt like a pile of mush, into his hand.

He walked a few steps and placed the corpse with the other half-dead targets.

On the other side, Qin Gang conducted a thorough search of the room and found two handbags in the wardrobe.

Opening them, he saw they were full of flour.

He estimated there was about twenty kilograms.

Then, Qin Gang found two imitation Type 54 pistols and a box of ammunition in a drawer.

When Zhang Zhenlin entered, all the evidence from the scene had been laid out on the floor, leaving him looking completely shocked.

"Here, this is the haul for this time. About twenty kilograms of flour. I don't know how these guys managed to bring it in; they've got some real skills," Wang Chao said to Zhang Zhenlin.

Upon hearing this, Zhang Zhenlin looked at the contents of the two handbags on the floor, his mouth feeling dry. His mind was a complete blank. Zhang Zhenlin had hoped for some results tonight, but he never dared to imagine such a huge windfall landing on his head.

What was the concept of forty jin of flour? H City was not Nanyun Province. Over five kilograms here was considered a major drug trafficking case. Forty jin—if the anti-drug department cracked this, everyone would be thrilled out of their minds.

"Hey, snap out of it. Come on, give each of them a shot. They had guns, so we went a bit too hard just now. You won't be able to explain this scene, so it's better to just finish them off. Then you can say whatever you want," Wang Chao said, patting the dazed Zhang Zhenlin to snap him out of his reverie.

"F-finish them off?" Zhang Zhenlin stammered, coming back to his senses.

"You don't have to, but you'd better think of how to explain it," Wang Chao glanced at Zhang Zhenlin.

Only then did Zhang Zhenlin notice the people lying on the ground. One was unrecognizable, his body like a meat patty—an exceptionally gruesome sight. The others required a close look to detect the faint rise and fall of their chests.

"They're all drug dealers, what are you afraid of? Don't be such a sissy." Seeing Zhang Zhenlin not responding, Tieniu said in a booming voice from the side.

Zhang Zhenlin's mind raced. He truly couldn't explain such a scene. He couldn't exactly say he hired outside help; Qin Yang certainly wouldn't let that slide. Although everyone had a responsibility to fight drug trafficking, so many deaths would be a significant trouble for an external contractor. He gritted his teeth and said, "Alright, I'll do it!"

Wang Chao nodded and handed the imitation Type 54 he had just found to Zhang Zhenlin.

"Just finish off these four. For the remaining one, just say you hit him with your car. We'll fix the scene for you."

"As for what happens next, that's up to you. Also, those two people outside, we'll train them for a few days before handing them over to you."

"That's it!" Wang Chao said.

Then Tieniu picked up the most gruesome corpse, and they left the house.

Soon, a few gunshots rang out inside the house. A few minutes later, Zhang Zhenlin ran out quickly and went to the side to retch violently.

When he felt a bit better and looked towards where Wang Chao and the others had been, he realized they had already left after setting up the car accident scene.

Zhang Zhenlin shakily took a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, pulled one out, and lit it. As he exhaled the smoke, his gaze gradually firmed up. Although this case was solved with Qin Yang's help and had the suspicion of being faked, as long as Qin Yang didn't say anything, no one would ever know about this.

Throwing the cigarette butt on the ground, Zhang Zhenlin picked up his phone and dialed the number of his direct superior, Deng Jun.

It was late at night. Deng Jun answered the phone groggily and asked casually, "Who is it? Why are you calling so late?"

"Boss, it's me. I have something to report to you."

"Damn it, can't you talk about it tomorrow?" Recognizing it was Zhang Zhenlin, Deng Jun replied irritably.

"Boss, it's not just any matter. You'll know when you get here. I'm currently at No. 237, XX Residential Area in the Western Suburbs."

"You punk, if this isn't an important matter, I'll make you regret it!" Hearing that Zhang Zhenlin's voice was trembling, Deng Jun realized that his subordinate had likely encountered something big, but he still scolded him before hanging up the phone.

About an hour later, Deng Jun arrived at the location Zhang Zhenlin mentioned, but upon arrival, he was immediately stunned on the spot.

He saw a damaged Camry parked on the road, with bloodstains everywhere around the car. Zhang Zhenlin was squatting not far away, staring blankly, not yet aware of his arrival.

Deng Jun collected himself, got out of the car quickly, and walked towards Zhang Zhenlin with a grave expression.

Only then did Zhang Zhenlin hear the commotion and turn his head.

"You punk, did you get into a car accident?!!" Deng Jun shouted the question before he even reached him.

Zhang Zhenlin shook his head hurriedly and said, "No, Boss, you're here. Just come inside with me and you'll understand."

Deng Jun frowned, not knowing what tricks Zhang Zhenlin was up to, so he followed him into the house.

When Deng Jun saw the corpses scattered around the room, the two large bags of flour, and the pistols on the floor, he was completely dumbfounded!

"I went out to hang out tonight and spotted a suspicious target. The guy was acting sneaky, so I followed him here and snuck inside. Once inside, I found these things in the back room. At the time, I wanted to call for backup, but I didn't expect to be discovered. With no other choice, I had to grab a pistol I found and fight back in self-defense, and this is what happened. The one outside tried to run, and in my panic, I dragged him under the car." Seeing Deng Jun stunned, Zhang Zhenlin gave the explanation he had repeatedly polished. Although it was full of holes, as long as he stuck to it, no one could do anything about him.
