62: Thank you for saving my life. Come find us when you come to the city next time.

Given the power of a sniper rifle, even a shot to the leg would be enough to cripple him for the rest of his life.

“Drop your weapon!”

“Drop it!”

The other police officers roared at Ye Lin in unison, their expressions filled with indignation.

Even Zhou Jingyang, who greatly admired Ye Lin, resolutely pointed his gun at Ye Lin, and countless small red dots flickered across Ye Lin’s body.

“Calm down! Calm down!” Ye Lin quickly tried to appease them, raising his sniper rifle towards the sky, afraid that if his brothers got nervous and accidentally fired, he’d be dead. He was a man with a system, dying like that would be too frustrating.

“Calm down about what? Come on, disarm him.” With Zhu Yong’s command, several special police officers were about to rush over and apprehend Ye Lin.

“Wait!” Ye Lin shouted, stopping the two.

“Captain Zhu, Captain Zhai, please look at what’s in front of you, okay? Don’t mistake my good intentions for ill will,” Ye Lin said with a wry smile.

“Don’t give me that. You shot our captain, and that’s good intentions?” one of the special police officers cursed, about to move in and capture Ye Lin.

“Wait!” Zhu Yong shouted, then squatted down, looked at the path, and then looked up diagonally.

“What’s wrong? The people below are about to run away.” Zhai Wei didn’t understand what Zhu Yong was doing at this moment, wasting time.

“Grenades! Hand grenades!”

Zhu Yong carefully retreated a few steps.

The words “hand grenades” immediately stunned everyone, and they all looked forward.

Under the moonlight, a thin line stretched across the path, with a hand grenade tied to one end of the line.

“Underfoot, there are hand grenades underfoot,” a special police officer exclaimed, having spotted them.

“There are some here too.” Zhai Wei’s face darkened. He saw it: less than a meter in front of him, at about chest height, there was also a thin line, blended in with the branches, completely invisible unless one looked closely.

And at both ends of the thin line, a hand grenade was hung. It was easy to imagine that if he had taken two more steps forward, these two grenades would have absolutely blown his face to smithereens, most likely crippling him.

The Blood Kill mercenary group truly lived up to their name. Having always lived in the jungle, they were far superior to these urban special police officers in jungle warfare.

“Thank you, brother. If it weren’t for you, I’d be finished this time.” Zhu Yong readily cupped his hands to Ye Lin, expressing his gratitude. There was one grenade on his side; whether he would die was hard to say, but one of his legs would definitely be gone. Thinking of his wife and children at home, he broke out in a cold sweat.

“Brother Ye, I’ll remember this life-saving kindness. If you ever come to Lincheng in the future, just come find me.” Zhai Wei patted his chest, expressing his thanks.

Everyone else now realized they had misunderstood Ye Lin. The two special police officers who had just wanted to restrain Ye Lin were now rubbing their hands awkwardly in place.

Ye Lin’s abnormal perception once again shocked everyone present. How did this guy see such a thin line, especially with the obstruction of leaves?

And on this dark, windy night, they were lucky to see a few meters clearly.

Ye Lin was at least ten meters away from here, yet he could see clearly. Was this darkness fake?

“Captains, perhaps we should chase them first,” Ye Lin reminded them.

Only then did everyone remember that they still needed to pursue the culprits.

“That way is safe, we’ll go down that way,” Ye Lin pointed to another mountain path.

After Ye Lin’s previous abnormal display, everyone rushed down the mountain path, following his directions.

Ang Shan and his group were almost at the foot of the mountain. They looked back and saw that these Great Xia police officers had actually caught up, and the grenades they had set up hadn’t reacted at all.

“Weiji, what are you doing?” Ang Shan asked, his face full of anger.

Weiji scratched his head, a bit helpless. He had clearly set them up, and they were very effective in the Golden Triangle. Could it be that the trees in Great Xia had spirits?

Ye Lin led the group down for a while, and his sniper rifle rang out again.

Three consecutive shots killed three more people.

Ang Shan was going crazy. He had brought ten people out, and now only he and Weiji were left.

His subordinates died too frustratingly, all picked off one by one by Ye Lin.

This guy was like he had an open heavenly eye, one shot, one kill.

In his panic, Ang Shan’s right leg didn’t land firmly. He tripped and tumbled down the mountain path.

Weiji saw his captain fall and turned to help, when suddenly a dark gun muzzle was pointed at him.

“Don’t move, or I’ll shoot you dead!” It was Zhu Yong who had arrived.

As Great Xia special police, their overall quality was undoubtedly much higher than these desperate criminals. After adapting to the jungle, they quickly caught up.

Ang Shan, who was behind, hadn’t even gotten up yet when a steel gun was pressed against the back of his head.

“Don’t move!”

“Don’t move!”

With a few shouts, he knew his life was over.

Great Xia was known as a mercenary forbidden zone, and it wasn’t just talk. People like them, once caught, basically never got out.

Ye Lin quickly followed, rushing down. All along, he had been looking for Ti Cai, but he hadn’t seen him.

Even now, after capturing the last two, he still hadn’t found him.

“Where’s Ti Cai? Where is he?” Ye Lin grabbed Ang Shan by the collar, asking with an angry face.

Zhu Yong and Zhai Wei saw Ye Lin get angry and quickly gathered around, asking with concern:

“What’s wrong?”

“Is there someone else we haven’t caught?”

Ye Lin nodded, “The person I was chasing, I haven’t found him yet. He trafficked drugs and killed people in Yuezhou, and he also shot and injured two of my colleagues.”

The two became furious upon hearing this and pulled Ang Shan over. “Speak quickly, where did the other person go?”

Ang Shan had an attitude of a dead pig not fearing boiling water, and he smiled slightly,

“You’re too late. He’s already about to board the boat.”

“You Great Xia police ultimately couldn’t catch him, hahahaha.”

Ang Shan laughed arrogantly.

His laughter made everyone’s faces incredibly grim.

Ye Lin frowned, found a rock to stand on, and saw a speedboat on the beach below. A figure was struggling to walk towards the speedboat.

However, his right leg was weak, so he could only limp along.

Zhu Yong also stood up and looked towards the sea, sighing, “We can’t catch him. It’ll take another 20 minutes to get down there. By the time we get down, he’ll already be on the boat. Call the coast guard and ask them for help.”

Zhai Wei shook his head, “The coast guard won’t be able to catch him either. The sea area here is too wide, and it’s hard to locate once they’re out at sea. Plus, they all have large ships waiting to meet them, some of which are legitimate merchant ships, making them impossible to trace.”

Zhu Yong was a special police officer, only responsible for arrests. Zhai Wei knew more about situations involving multi-department coordination.

“You don’t need to fantasize, we already have a ship waiting for us at sea. You don’t need to waste your time,” Ang Shan mocked loudly. Watching the Great Xia police officers look frustrated, he felt a sense of relief.

Upon hearing this, Zhai Wei’s face showed a hint of annoyance. He punched a tree fiercely, “If only we had run faster.”
