82: Death of the Rich Second Generation at Jinhai Club

As soon as he came out, he saw Fang Yaowei questioning Ye Lin's police ID. Kang Shaojie let out a huge sigh of relief, glad that he was still there.

So he rushed out directly and shouted, "I can prove it."

However, he didn't expect that Fang Yaowei would still realize that he was asking for help.

Ye Lin watched Kang Shaojie's face turn from red to white, on the verge of exploding, and quickly stepped forward to smooth things over. "Young Master Kang, I just came out for some fresh air. Shall we go back to the private room and talk?"

Kang Shaojie was overjoyed, no longer caring about Fang Yaowei's mockery, and quickly said, "Brother, you've been out for so long, you've had enough fresh air, right? Hurry up and go inside."

Ye Lin gave Young Master Kang a way out, at least on the surface, it didn't look so bad.

Everyone saw that the excitement was pretty much over, and they all prepared to go back to their private rooms to continue partying.

Suddenly, Ye Lin seemed to remember something, turned around, and held out his hand to A Chang. "Take it out."

A Chang looked confused. "Huh?"

"Huh my ass, the knife! Confiscated!" Ye Lin reprimanded.

"Oh, oh." A Chang instantly cowered and pulled out the butterfly knife from his pants, handing it over.

Ye Lin took it, and before leaving, he lectured him a few more times: "Young man, fighting is bad. If you win, you go to jail; if you lose, you go to the hospital. You should be a good, law-abiding child, understand?"

A Chang now felt like dying. Big Brother, who was enjoying the fight just now? I was the one getting beaten, okay?

But he didn't dare to refute; his knife was still in the other person's hand. Daring to point a knife at a police officer would definitely land him in jail for a few days.

He could only silently nod in acceptance.

Ye Lin thoroughly lectured A Chang, then walked towards the private room behind him, feeling satisfied.

Fang Yaowei next to him didn't stop him; instead, he watched him with a playful expression, as if he found it very amusing.

Suddenly, a terrifying scream came from one of the private rooms.

"Ah--"

"Someone's dead! Someone's dead!"

Several young men and women rushed out of the private room, shouting loudly that someone was dead, their faces distorted with fright.

Ye Lin's expression changed drastically, and he was about to rush over to check.

Suddenly, as if he sensed something, he grabbed Kang Shaojie and said, "Young Master Kang, you and your people guard this corridor. No one is allowed in or out."

Kang Shaojie hadn't yet recovered from the shock of the death when Ye Lin pulled him to stand in the middle, blocking the path from the private rooms to the hall.

People from the other private rooms also rushed out, but after just one glance at the door of the private room where the incident occurred, they screamed repeatedly and frantically tried to flee.

"Stop! Everyone stop!"

Kang Shaojie stood like a single man guarding a pass, in the middle of the corridor.

A group of people, just frightened by the dead body, suddenly found someone blocking their way in the middle. In their rush to escape, their anger flared up, and being drunk, they immediately started cursing.

"Who the hell are you? Don't you know a good dog doesn't block the way?"

"Get out of the way!"

Young Master Kang was furious. How dare they curse him? Didn't they know who his father was?

Enraged, he went up and slapped the leader across the face, grabbing his collar and pulling him closer. "Look at who I am!!!"

The man, somewhat sobered by the slap, opened his eyes and was instantly scared out of his wits. "Young Master Kang, Young Master Kang, I... I..."

"My ass! Everyone stand still! No one moves until Officer Ye gives the word." Kang Shaojie roared down the corridor, waving his hand grandly, as if commanding thousands of troops.

With the unfortunate guy as a deterrent, the people behind him obediently stood still.

The security guards of Jinhai Club also heard the commotion and quickly rushed over. They initially wanted to force their way in, but seeing Young Master Kang and Fang Yaowei standing in the middle, the manager's momentum suddenly weakened.

"Young Master Kang, Young Master Fang, please step aside and let us go in to check the situation." Manager Zhao of the club said obsequiously.

"There's already a police officer handling the case inside. You all stay here. No one is allowed to enter, understand? It's a case, a homicide!" Kang Shaojie turned around and reprimanded directly.

Fang Yaowei didn't even speak, just glared, and Manager Zhao could only give a wry smile, standing behind the two of them.

The scene settled down. Ye Lin stepped forward and said to the people in the corridor, "Now, everyone stand on both sides of the corridor and clear the way."

The group of people had no idea who he was, and they all ignored him.

"Didn't you hear Officer Ye? Hurry up, split up!" Young Master Kang roared. Damn it, these people have no sense of awareness.

Once everyone was in position, Ye Lin walked to the door of the private room where the incident occurred.

Looking inside, the room was already a mess. Wine bottles, food wrappers, and various clothes and bags were strewn all over the floor.

The deceased was sitting on the sofa in the private room, his head leaning back against the sofa cushion, a knife plunged into his left chest, blood already staining the front of his clothes.

The deceased's eyes were wide open, eyeballs bulging, with an expression of disbelief on his face, his mouth slightly agape. The pain and unwillingness of his final moments were completely preserved on his face.

Ye Lin picked out a few clear spots on the floor and stepped over them, trying not to disturb the scene.

After entering, he carefully observed the deceased. The deceased was a young man. He lightly touched the muscle with his hand, and it still had warmth, meaning he had only recently died.

The knife plunged into his left chest looked somewhat familiar to Ye Lin. He pulled out A Chang's knife from behind him, and it turned out to be the same model of folding knife. Was this intentional or a coincidence?

Ye Lin took out the folding knife and roughly compared it. The stab was deep enough to reach the hilt. The killer must have used a lot of force. It didn't look like accidental killing; it seemed to be a premeditated, fatal stab.

The deceased was wearing long-sleeved clothes, so no visible injuries on the surface of his limbs could be seen.

From the exposed neck and face, no obvious ligature marks were visible. Of course, it was also possible that not enough time had passed, and they might become visible later.

As for fingerprints on the murder weapon, Ye Lin wasn't that miraculous; he couldn't see them and could only take a general look.

The deceased wore several rings on his hand, a high-end watch, and a necklace around his neck. All valuable items were still present, so it was likely not for money.

Generally, murder is for three reasons: money, sex, or revenge. Not for money, and being a male, it was most likely a revenge killing. The single fatal stab at the scene also fit the profile of a revenge killing.

After getting a general understanding of the case, Ye Lin walked out and stood in the corridor, asking, "Who was in this private room just now?"

"Who was in there? Hurry up and step forward!" This time, Young Master Kang didn't need to shout; A Bo directly jumped out to uphold justice.

Soon, two men and three women stepped forward. "Officer, the five of us, and the person inside, were together."
