75: Why don't you let me see it and stop messing around?

Although the voice wasn't loud, the room wasn't large either, so everyone heard the discordant sound.

Kang Shaojie looked annoyed. Where did this guy pop out from? He's so idiotic.

He looked at his father, and Kang Dejun pressed his hand, signaling him to be patient.

Kang Shaojie reluctantly said, "He suddenly couldn't speak, it should be a stroke."

"A stroke? That's a blocked blood vessel; it'll be fine once it's cleared," Ye Lin said casually.

As soon as he said this, it immediately drew Secretary Kang Dejun's displeasure. If it were that simple, he wouldn't have gone to such lengths for so long.

"Xiao Ye, sometimes it's better to be a bit more steady," Kang Dejun said vaguely, subtly hinting at Ye Lin.

Ye Dingguo, who was beside him, also had no intention of continuing to take the pulse. He put down the old man's hand, looking thoughtful, which drew Kang Dejun's attention.

"Elder Ye, how is it?" Kang Dejun asked anxiously.

"Let Old Chen also take his pulse first," Ye Dingguo said in a low voice, his brows tightly furrowed.

Chen Xiangyi understood immediately upon seeing Ye Dingguo's expression; it wasn't easy to treat.

Although the two didn't see eye to eye, their skill levels were similar. If Ye Dingguo felt it was bad, Chen Xiangyi would surely feel much the same.

Nevertheless, he slowly sat down, gently placed his fingers, and closed his eyes.

Ye Dingguo, on the other hand, pulled Ye Lin aside, glaring slightly to signal him not to speak carelessly.

"Okay!" Ye Lin made an "okay" gesture with his hand. Anyway, it wasn't his family member.

However, he was secretly observing the old man lying on the bed. The old man's complexion wasn't very good, and his two exposed hands lacked color, appearing very pale.

And his face was still twitching non-stop. According to Ye Lin's estimate, it should be a stroke, possibly in a difficult location, making treatment challenging.

Soon, Chen Xiangyi also stood up, giving Ye Dingguo a meaningful look.

The two consciously walked to one side and began discussing in low voices, while Kang Dejun could only wait anxiously nearby.

Kang Shaojie quietly took a step to the side, moving further away from Ye Lin.

He had met so many young people, but this was the first time he'd seen someone as idiotic as Ye Lin. He wanted to keep his distance from this idiot.

Ye Lin tilted his head and smiled. He was just bored earlier; his thoughts might be different from Young Master Kang's.

Soon, the two finished their discussion, and Ye Dingguo spoke.

"Secretary Kang, your father has had a stroke; there's a blood clot in his brain, which is a bit difficult," Ye Dingguo said as concisely as possible.

Kang Dejun nodded. "It's a blood clot; that's what they said at the hospital before. My father is old and can't undergo surgery, so I wanted to see if traditional Chinese medicine had any non-surgical methods."

"Traditional Chinese medicine has its own remedies for stroke, but from our pulse diagnosis just now, your father's symptoms are quite severe. Our remedies can only alleviate the condition; it's difficult to cure it completely."

Kang Dejun looked at Chen Xiangyi, wanting to see if he had a different opinion.

However, Chen Xiangyi also shook his head, saying regretfully, "Secretary Kang, I also don't have a better solution."

Kang Dejun sighed, pressing further, "Then how much can it be alleviated? Can he speak, or will his mouth stop twitching? He's suffering too much like this."

Ye Dingguo and Chen Xiangyi exchanged glances, then both shook their heads without speaking.

Kang Dejun took a deep breath. His initial hope had suddenly vanished, leaving him feeling drained.

Secretary Zhang stepped forward from behind him. "Secretary, please take care of yourself."

Kang Dejun shook his head. "As a son, my father is tormented by illness, yet I am powerless. I am in pain."

"Dad, since it can't be cured, why don't we send the two elders back first?" Kang Shaojie prompted from the side.

He himself didn't believe in traditional Chinese medicine at all. As someone who had studied abroad, he always thought traditional Chinese medicine was a bit mystical, not as practical as Western medicine's real scalpels.

Kang Dejun composed himself and said, "Thank you for your trouble, elders. I'll have someone send you back."

The two nodded, picked up their belongings, and prepared to leave.

Suddenly, a clear voice rang out, "May I take a look?"

Everyone looked up to see Ye Lin had stepped forward.

"Lin'er, don't be rude. This is not a game," Ye Dingguo said with a stern face.

Although he wasn't afraid of Kang Dejun, he couldn't just mess around, could he?

Ye Lin's behavior today was already bad enough; if he continued to act up, it would be counterproductive.

Kang Dejun also showed displeasure on his face; this junior was really too impolite.

Chen Xiangyi stood behind, watching the show as if it had nothing to do with him.

"Secretary Kang, actually, I am also a student of traditional Chinese medicine. I've learned quite a bit, so letting me take a look wouldn't hurt anything, right?" Ye Lin still had that annoying expression.

"Don't be silly. You've only studied for two years; you haven't even gotten started yet," Ye Dingguo reprimanded softly.

"Grandpa, it's not about how long you've studied to be good. It won't take much time for me to take a pulse."

"Heh heh." Kang Dejun let out two cold laughs. He was already a bit angry; if it weren't for his self-restraint, he probably would have started swearing.

"Kid, I know you want to impress my father, but don't you think you're being a bit too presumptuous?" Kang Dejun could hold back, but Kang Shaojie couldn't. He pointed directly at Ye Lin and started scolding him.

Ye Lin didn't respond. He suddenly grabbed Young Master Kang's hand with his right hand, gave it a shake, and a pull.

Kang Shaojie suddenly found his wrist unresponsive, and his right hand hung limp. He was so scared his soul almost left his body. "What did you do? What's wrong with my hand?"

"Presumptuous!" Kang Dejun roared angrily when he saw his son being struck.

"Just a dislocation, don't panic," Ye Lin said calmly.

Then, with his right hand, he supported Kang Shaojie's dislocated right hand, gently pulling and pushing it, instantly resetting his wrist.

Kang Shaojie only felt a slight sting in his wrist, and then his wrist could move again. He looked at Ye Lin with a terrified expression; now this little hooligan made him a little scared.

Ye Dingguo also looked at his grandson in disbelief. As the saying goes, amateurs watch the excitement, while experts watch the technique.

This move was not simple. Both he and Old Chen could dislocate and set bones, but to do it with one hand and reset it so accurately in one go, even at their age with full experience, it was highly unlikely.

And Ye Lin was only so young, yet he possessed such skill.

Chen Xiangyi was also startled. "Damn, didn't he say he was a police officer? How can he do this too?"

Kang Dejun's face, which had been full of anger just moments ago, was now a sight to behold, alternating between red and pale.

This move seemed quite impressive, but he wasn't entirely sure.

He looked at Chen Xiangyi. "Elder Chen, this is...?"

Chen Xiangyi didn't speak carelessly. He cupped his hands and said in a deep voice, "Secretary Kang, this is bone setting. It requires a thorough understanding of bone structure and a certain amount of strength. It's quite difficult."
