70: Oh my God, no one called an ambulance for me?

He never understood why Ye Lin was completely unharmed until his death.

Fisherman Hat collapsed to the ground with a thud.

The remaining subordinates, instead of retreating, were spurred on by their bloodlust and swarmed forward.

“Damn it,” Ye Lin cursed under his breath. There were still over a dozen subordinates, and he only had five bullets left.

He didn't hesitate, awarding a ‘peanut’ to each of the five subordinates charging at the front.

With a few “click-clack” sounds, the bullets ran out.

Ye Lin, holding the pistol inverted, charged towards the remaining subordinates.

Seeing that this tiger had finally lost its fangs, the subordinates instantly became invigorated, rushing forward fiercely.

Ye Lin had only run two steps when his left foot ached, and he almost fell. He had forgotten his left leg was shot.

After only a brief pause, eight subordinates surrounded him, circling Ye Lin with knives in hand.

Ye Lin's invulnerability to blades and bullets earlier was truly terrifying, making them hesitant to rush in haphazardly.

Ye Lin stood in the center, his eyes constantly scanning left and right.

Finally, a few subordinates, seeing Ye Lin make no move, felt they had a better chance of winning. A few exchanged glances.

Together, they swung their large knives down.

Ye Lin's expression hardened. He hurled the gun in his hand at the subordinate opposite him, forcing that subordinate to instinctively dodge.

This dodge gave Ye Lin an opportunity. Enduring the pain in his left foot, he stabilized himself and delivered several rapid kicks with his right foot, directly sending the people in front of him flying.

“Rip!”

A burning sensation spread across Ye Lin's back.

“Damn it!” Ye Lin cursed under his breath. This bulletproof armor could stop bullets but not knives.

He spun around, delivering several powerful kicks and two sweeping leg attacks to the people behind him, knocking all eight subordinates to the ground at once.

However, Ye Lin's legs were not in good shape either. The wound on his left leg had widened again, and blood gushed out.

Ye Lin casually picked up a machete and shouted at the subordinates lying on the ground, “Crouch down! If you don't want to die, crouch down for me!”

Two of the subordinates, relying on their developed muscles, still tried to resist. One was directly knocked unconscious by Ye Lin's spinning kick, while the other lost his ability to resist after several continuous slashes from Ye Lin.

Seeing that this group had lost all will to resist, Ye Lin finally had time to look outside the door.

Sang Rong had long since driven off with his bodyguards.

That guy, he ran away again.

“Jiang Waner, come out and call the police,” Ye Lin shouted loudly.

Jiang Waner timidly emerged from the room. Seeing the ground covered in bodies and blood, the young girl was so scared she threw up.

Ye Lin shook his head. It seemed he had to do it himself.

He picked up his phone and dialed, calling Xie Changkun. Although this old cement factory in Chengnan wasn't in Xishan District, there was no reason for such a hugeMerit to go entirely to the Chengnan Branch Bureau.

When Xie Changkun heard about the kidnapping and gunfight, his heart pounded with fear. He finally relaxed after Ye Lin finished speaking.

As for sharing some of the credit, it wasn't Xie Changkun's first time. He immediately waved his hand, ordering everyone to depart, taking every available vehicle.

However, he still dutifully reported to Gao Dawen. Such a largeMerit was too much for his Police Station alone.

Upon hearing this, Gao Dawen immediately set the tone: Since the kidnapping occurred in Xishan District, the Xishan Branch Bureau had the right to handle the case. “Go!”

Five or six police cars roared to the old cement factory in Chengnan.

Before even entering, they saw a young girl squatting at the entrance, her face deathly pale, constantly dry heaving.

Everyone recognized the young girl; she was the one Ye Lin had helped before.

“Girl, where's Ye Lin?” Xie Changkun asked.

Jiang Waner looked up, pointed inside with effort, and then squatted down to throw up again.

Xie Changkun was utterly bewildered. What was wrong with this young girl?

Only when he walked into the factory building did he understand. Inside, while not exactly a river of blood, it was definitely a scene of carnage.

Over a dozen bodies were scattered throughout the factory, with the most dead near the entrance.

“Chief, over here!” A loud voice came from inside.

Xie Changkun looked in to see Ye Lin sitting in a chair, smoking, with several blood-stained subordinates squatting beside him.

“There are still survivors,” Xie Changkun mused, then suddenly felt something was off. Wasn't it normal to have survivors?

He probably had been infected by Ye Lin's abnormality, and his mind was no longer normal.

Chief Xie waved his hand, and Zhang Degen, along with Lin Xianfeng and a few others, quickly secured the subordinates.

At this moment, the familiar voice of the system rang out.

“Congratulations, Host, for breaking up a major criminal gang. Rewards: Skills [Grandmaster Acupuncturist], [Close-Quarters Combat], and one Stamina Attribute Card.”

Ye Lin was now quite calm about the system's rewards. He leisurely opened the system.

“[Grandmaster Acupuncturist]: Mastered traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture.”

“This is good. Ye Lin likes all traditional Chinese medicine skills. He comes from a family of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, so he's been immersed in it since childhood and loves it.”

“Because of the damn system, he couldn't become a doctor, which was quite regrettable, especially for his father and grandfather; he felt he owed them.”

“[Close-Quarters Combat]: Mastered modern combat skills. Well, another skill for fighting.”

“[Stamina Attribute Card]: A yellow card. This is the first time I've seen this. Ye Lin tapped on it and read the description: Usage can increase stamina by 30%.”

“Hiss, this… Ye Lin really wanted to ask the system if this stamina included *that* kind of bedroom activity.”

“Use immediately!”

A yellow energy infused Ye Lin's body, making his somewhat tired body feel re-energized.

“Not bad, it's a good thing. If stamina increases a bit more, next time I'll let Wang Jun out and try. Maybe I won't need any stamina potions to catch up.”

No sooner had Xie Changkun arrived than the Branch Bureau also arrived, with Gao Dawen himself.

“Kid, you're impressive. You can still handle such a big case while suspended. Well done,” Gao Dawen punched Ye Lin's chest, not stinting on praise.

The punch made Ye Lin wince. “Leader, I just finished a battle, alright?”

Everyone had arrived, yet Ye Lin kept looking outside.

Xie Changkun asked curiously, “Xiao Ye, did you report to anyone else?”

Ye Lin looked surprised. “No, I just called you.”

“Then what are you still looking at?”

“No, Chief Xie, didn't you call an ambulance?” Ye Lin asked with disbelief.

Xie Changkun scratched his head, pointed to the ground, and looked bewildered: “The dead are dead, and the others can all walk. Why call an ambulance?”

Ye Lin's eyes widened, his lips trembled violently, and he cried out tragically, “No, Director Gao, Chief Xie, didn't anyone call an ambulance for me?”

“What? You're injured?”

“You? Aren't you perfectly fine?”

The two big bosses looked disbelieving.

“Oh my god!”
