369: Refreshing hack and slash

A gentle breeze brushed through the grass, bringing a hint of coolness, yet it couldn't mask the tension and killing intent permeating the air.

Shen Bei moved silently, approaching like a ghost, each step perfectly calculated, neither rustling the dead leaves nor making any unnecessary sound.

As the distance shortened, until the alien was only an arm's length away.

Shen Bei drew the cold, gleaming long blade from his waist.

Without hesitation, without any extra movements, Shen Bei swung his arm, and with a soft but clear 'hiss' of cutting, followed by a low, muffled groan as the alien's throat was slit.

The long blade precisely severed the alien's windpipe; blood instantly gushed out, staining his clothes and dripping along the blade to the ground, blossoming into shocking red flowers.

The alien's eyes widened, his mouth tightly covered by Shen Bei, unable to make any sound. He never expected to be ambushed, not even knowing who attacked him from behind!

His body slowly collapsed, finally slumping limply onto the grass, the surrounding greenery stained with circles of deep red.

Shen Bei grabbed the falling alien and dragged him deeper into the tall grass.

The surroundings returned to peace, with only the breeze continuing to blow, the grass swaying, covering the traces of the recent slaughter.

Hoo~~

Shen Bei let out a soft breath.

Losing the strength of a Martial Artist, killing returns to the most primitive physical power. This feeling... is truly awkward, yet accompanied by a touch of wonder.

If it were outside, Shen Bei would only need to blast him from a distance with a hundred thousand volts of lightning, or a Shadow Needles, to take care of it.

But thinking about it, this alien he killed might also have extremely high defenses, requiring multiple blasts to kill.

In comparison, killing in the North Mansion is much simpler.

After dealing with the body.

Shen Bei returned to his original position, continuing to lie in wait.

According to Shen Bei's thinking, it wouldn't be long before the people above would notice that this dead alien hadn't returned for a long time and would send someone to look for him.

At that time, it would just be another head delivered.

Shen Bei's patience was abundant.

After all, patience and persistence outweigh intensity and fervor.

Waiting...

Waiting...

About five minutes later, Maru Go on the mountaintop finally noticed something was wrong and looked down the large slope.

"You, go down and see if that guy was suffocated by his own filth."

Although Maru Go noticed that his subordinate alien hadn't returned for a long time, he didn't think he would be in any danger.

After all, everyone here was for treatment, not for fighting and killing.

Furthermore, they were all of Royal status!

Which other aliens would dare to kill someone?

With this mindset, Maru Go barely gave it a second thought. While he said the alien might have been suffocated by filth, he actually thought the alien was being lazy, perhaps having found a place to sleep.

Another tall alien nodded after receiving the order and slowly walked down the large slope.

Such slopes were not obstacles for Martial Artists and Cultivators.

Outside, a single jump would take them to the bottom of the mountain.

But now it was different; they were all ordinary people. If they accidentally rolled down such a slope, at best they would hit a rock and suffer a bloody head injury; at worst, their neck could snap, and they might die on the spot.

Having the right understanding for the right environment is a basic quality, otherwise, one only suffers.

As the second alien slowly descended, he sniffed, and indeed caught a whiff of a foul odor.

Following the source of the smell, he investigated.

Just as this alien was looking confusedly at a pile of something.

Shen Bei was hidden in the tall grass, his position just right.

He couldn't be seen from the mountaintop, and as the only person who had come down the mountain, he hadn't noticed Shen Bei, who was like a venomous snake.

The next moment.

Shen Bei's figure exploded forth instantly, attacking again.

The blade in his hand pierced into the alien's heart like lightning. With a twist of the blade, all of the alien's shock and disbelief froze in his eyes!

Shen Bei backhanded, tightly gripping the opponent's throat, preventing him from making any sound.

The alien's eyes seemed to settle, then lost all their light.

Done!

"Heaven-Shaking Slave didn't bring many escorts, only six people in total."

"Now two are dealt with; there are still two subordinates, plus Maru Go and Gu Jiu."

After tidying up the body of the alien whose heart had been pierced and discarding it aside, Shen Bei again lay in ambush.

According to Shen Bei's estimation, Maru Go should have learned his lesson next time.

He would surely send no fewer than two people down to check.

Then, it could only be the remaining two subordinates.

Time passed little by little.

Indeed, Shen Bei's guess was confirmed.

This time, two aliens actually came down.

Moreover, Maru Go stood on the mountaintop, staring down with a puzzled expression.

Even so, Shen Bei was not flustered in the slightest.

There was plenty of time; as long as they were within the North Mansion, everyone was an ordinary person. Who was afraid of whom? At worst, it would be like walking a dog, slowly eroding them!

As the two descending individuals came down, one on the left and one on the right, they advanced, exploring with about two meters between them.

Shen Bei's gaze swept back and forth through the overgrown grass.

Gradually.

A peculiar formation appeared.

These two aliens actually appeared on either side of the tall grass where Shen Bei was lying in ambush!

Even so, Shen Bei was not being flanked.

Because the two aliens hadn't discovered Shen Bei lying in the middle.

Their gazes were more focused on sweeping the sides, searching for their two missing teammates.

Shen Bei's eyeballs darted around; he couldn't wait any longer.

If he was truly discovered by the two aliens.

Then he would be surrounded and attacked, unable to cope.

Shen Bei pushed off with his foot, and his entire body, arriving later but moving faster, appeared directly beside the alien on the front left. With a 'whoosh', the blade in his hand effortlessly pierced the throat of the first person!

"Human!"

The other alien, upon seeing Shen Bei's figure, cried out in alarm.

Although this alien's face was filled with shock, his movements were also extremely fast; a long spear directly thrust forward to kill!

Shen Bei abruptly drew his blade, ignoring the gushing blood in the air and the alien knocked to the ground, then sharply turned around, his blade flashing repeatedly. First, he cut off the long spear that had been thrust at him from behind.

Shen Bei's long blade was already as sharp as iron-cutting mud, let alone this wooden long spear.

Perhaps outside, when this alien fought, he could cover the long spear with Origin Qi to maintain its hardness and prevent it from breaking.

But within the North Mansion, where was there any Origin Qi? It was all about essence against essence!

Next, Shen Bei crouched low, and in the nick of time, simultaneously pushed off with his foot, his body like a wild ox, crashing powerfully into the alien who had missed his attack, slamming him against a tree. At the same time, the long blade in his hand ruthlessly pierced into the opponent's heart, then twisted violently!

Both aliens died instantly!

And at this moment, Shen Bei's identity as a human was also exposed in the sight of Maru Go and Gu Jiu.

It could be seen that both of them were stunned.

No one would have thought that a human would appear within the North Mansion!

"How is this possible!"

What Gu Jiu thought was not about his subordinates being killed, but about the incredibility of this human below.

One must know, this was deep within the alien territory!

Not the front line near human camps.

Furthermore, there were many aliens watching the Shenxiu Lake tide. Besides Heaven-Shaking Slave, who could move freely under Royal protection.

Any other human wanting to enter the North Mansion would have been discovered by the onlookers long ago, and would surely be met with shouts of 'kill him!'.

But the truth was... there was absolutely nothing!

This human just appeared so suddenly!

How on earth did he get in!

It was truly puzzling!

At this moment, Maru Go, after a few moments of shock, roared in extreme anger, "There's a human! Kill him for me!"

Saying this, Maru Go was the first to rush down the large slope, and then more than twenty other aliens also came to the mountaintop to look down.

Each of them howled as if they had seen an alien; those with weapons grabbed them, those without weapons swung their fists, and they swarmed down.

But Shen Bei moved even faster, directly activating long-distance running mode.

Running laps during military training at Lingnan City Martial Arts University was no joke.

Train running!
