39: Activate ATM

Although Shen Bei was the Champion of this year's Martial Arts Exam,

Liao Zhongyang was clearly unconvinced, and his words subtly looked down on Shen Bei.

It wasn't that Liao Zhongyang was unconvinced by Shen Bei's incredibly high overall attributes.

Rather, Shen Bei's attribute distribution was too balanced.

There were no outstanding highlights.

But in a contest of strength, Liao Zhongyang would definitely not lose to Shen Bei.

Plus, he already had the Basic Fist Art in hand.

He was full of confidence to challenge Shen Bei to a one-on-one fight.

But why would Shen Bei be so stubborn and bother with Liao Zhongyang?

As they chatted, he successfully activated Liao Zhongyang, this 'ATM' machine.

Liao Zhongyang immediately exploded, pulling Shen Bei to a room upstairs.

Liao Zhongyang pulled out a book, 'Basic Fist Art,' from his backpack.

"Here, open your eyes wide and see if it's the Basic Fist Art?"

Liao Zhongyang held the book with a hint of pride, shaking it in front of Shen Bei's eyes.

Shen Bei, however, said with a look of disdain, "Who knows if it's a comic book inside?"

"Comic book?" Liao Zhongyang flipped through the pages, pointing at the content with his finger: "Is this what you call a comic book?"

"Let me see."

Shen Bei quickly grabbed it, flipping through page after page.

His brain was like a photocopier, or rather, the copy button on a mouse, imprinting every piece of content into his memory.

This was Shen Bei's newly acquired 'special' attribute.

Within ten days before the Martial Arts Exam,

Shen Bei took on a rather peculiar job at the Labor Market.

There was a tutoring agency that specialized in tutoring third-grade elementary school students.

Because business was so booming, the agency's teachers were not enough.

The boss, seeing that Shen Bei was still a high school student, felt that his cultural level was sufficient to handle elementary school students.

So he hired him to teach elementary school students every day.

Elementary school students at this stage studied things similar to Blue Star.

Books rarely mentioned things like Martial Artists, or if they did, it was in Chinese language texts.

The main focus was still on academic subjects.

For Shen Bei, third-grade elementary school curriculum? Wasn't that a piece of cake?

If you have the ability, give me fourth grade!

Thus, the people's educator, Shen Bei, went online in a theatrical manner!

The result was...

Shen Bei cursed the textbook editors every day.

Damn them to hell.

The problems in these books were no longer just problems, but brain teasers.

Things like, water flowing in from one side and out from the other, asking when the tank would be full.

Isn't that a waste of water, is that what third-grade elementary school students should be learning?

And then there was the chicken and rabbit in a cage problem; Shen Bei wondered, isn't it too crowded?

There were countless such problems.

It almost burned out Shen Bei's CPU.

It was so damn hard!

One hour of tutoring every day felt like a year, especially when the elementary school students looked at Shen Bei with suspicious and clear eyes, waiting for answers.

Shen Bei almost wanted to give up, 'I'm a bad student, I'm not playing anymore!'

But after enduring that period, the daily activation settlement rewards were still very good.

Mainly, it increased two niche attributes: 'Memory' and 'Self-Correction.'

After a few days of enduring, Memory directly reached 100 points.

Shen Bei had gained the ability to remember everything at a glance!

After a brief browse, Shen Bei directly threw the 'Basic Fist Art' back.

Done!

Every single word in that book, even the punctuation marks, Shen Bei could recite backwards!

Sometimes, Shen Bei felt that some Geniuses being able to recite Pi backwards was a joke.

Now it seems...

It's still a joke.

"Thanks."

Shen Bei said indifferently, then turned and left.

"Hey, hey?" Liao Zhongyang asked with a bewildered expression, "You're just leaving? You should spar with me."

"I'm afraid I'll knock you to the ground with one punch, and you'll extort money from me..." Shen Bei said seriously, "After all, I earned over five thousand yuan today, I won't fall for it."

Liao Zhongyang: ...

He always felt that Shen Bei was just there to secretly learn his Basic Fist Art.

But then he thought about it and realized it was impossible.

In just five or six minutes, who could remember such a vast amount of text and diagrams?

Liao Zhongyang smacked his lips, secretly regretting.

He couldn't defeat Shen Bei, the Champion, now, and such good opportunities would be rare once they reached the Martial Arts University.

After all, defeating the Champion would be enough for him to brag for a year.

But Shen Bei didn't give him the chance.

...

At this moment, Shen Bei returned to his room.

He hung out the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, closed and locked the door, then added the safety lock.

"Basic Fist Art..."

Shen Bei recalled the introduction within the book.

This was a fundamental skill for Martial Artists who wanted to pursue a close-combat route after achieving a Breakthrough.

It was like digging the foundation for building a magnificent skyscraper.

This Basic Fist Art seemed simple in its routine, but it was the foundation!

Shen Bei didn't hesitate, immediately recalling the book's content in his mind and striking a pose.

He moved slowly, as if performing the popular Tai Chi forms.

His eyes were always focused intently on his moving fingers.

Shen Bei always extended his hand slowly, then his five fingers would grasp with precision, and then quickly retract.

This slow extension and swift retraction reminded Shen Bei of the technique for catching fish when he was a child: slowly extend your hand into the water so the fish doesn't notice, and when close enough, suddenly scoop it up. The fish would be caught.

Shen Bei also noticed that when practicing this Basic Fist Art, his body continuously moved in circles, his steps always sliding across the ground, moving cautiously, as if wading through muddy water.

Shen Bei felt that, from a God's-eye view, his posture wasn't graceful, but between the in-and-out movements, his entire body was rubbing, and his strength was applied to every part, giving a feeling of surging power.

He didn't know how much time had passed.

Shen Bei stopped moving, suddenly raised his hands to his eyebrows, then slowly pressed them down to his abdomen, gently stomped his left foot on the ground, and exhaled a long breath.

A long stream of white Qi shot straight out from Shen Bei's mouth, like an arrow suddenly fired.

"Can exhaling Qi be like this?" Shen Bei was also very surprised to see his breath shoot out.

"No wonder Liao Zhongyang said I wasn't his opponent; this Basic Fist Art can practically elevate a Martial Artist to another level!"

Then, Shen Bei became engrossed.

He continued to practice, performing one set of movements after another, always raising his hands, pressing his abdomen, stomping his foot, and exhaling Qi.

He practiced repeatedly.

With each set of movements, Shen Bei continuously self-corrected his erroneous actions.

He was like a machine that could automatically fix bugs.

This characteristic came from another niche attribute, 'Self-Correction,' which Shen Bei gained from tutoring elementary school students.

This attribute roughly meant that whenever Shen Bei made a mistake, an inner sensation would arise.

If the angle of his punch was wrong, Shen Bei would feel a sense of panic, realizing the error.

Then he would search for the right feeling and self-correct.

It must be said that this attribute was very useful, but it also depended on the situation.

Especially in a Martial Arts University, with a teacher's guidance, if you made a mistake, the teacher would directly correct it.

But when he was alone, 'Self-Correction' would prevent him from working in isolation without progress.

However, how to correct still required him to explore and improve on his own; the 'Self-Correction' attribute would not provide the answers.

Perhaps there would also be situations where he couldn't break through a simple barrier.

Regardless, for Shen Bei currently, the 'Self-Correction' attribute could play a very good Assist role.

Approximately two hours later.

Shen Bei extended his hand and clenched his fist.

Facing the wall, he unleashed a hidden force!

Shen Bei's clothes seemed to stick to the air, producing a crisp sound like firecrackers suddenly exploding!

Crack!

After Shen Bei grimaced and retracted his fist, a shallow fist print appeared on the wall in front of him!

"Hiss!!!"

Shen Bei widened his eyes in disbelief.

Just then,

Jian Tong's voice rang out from outside the door: "Shen Bei, open the door quickly!"
