541: Kill when necessary, and cut off all obstacles to avoid chaos.

Shen Bei stood under the night sky, on the shattered and broken street, looking in the direction of the sound.

He thought it was other enemies coming to launch a relay attack on him.

He didn't expect to encounter a classic scene again; the fight here was over, and the "police" were only just arriving.

And in the underground Imperial City, the "police" were clearly the Night Watchers.

Bi Kun and the others rushed over, and when they saw a group of corpses that had died tragically from the aftermath of the battle, they weren't too moved.

But the two corpses of Martial Gods made them freeze in place.

Looking at the tall figure standing in the center of the corpses, everyone gasped, many Night Watchers felt their throats dry, and someone asked, "You did this?"

Many people sized up Shen Bei. Was he playing the pig to eat the tiger? A Ninth-Rank Cultivator, but with excessively powerful true strength, capable of fighting two against one and eliminating two Martial Gods?

Or was there another reason?

"Just helping an elder in my family fish," Shen Bei replied casually.

This sentence made everyone realize; this was understandable.

No wonder such a big commotion was made. A Great Cultivator of Divine Power Realm taking action to kill these people was naturally different from the small skirmishes they were used to.

However, everyone seemed to understand that Shen Bei's backing had apparently arrived late this time.

Good heavens.

Shen Bei's injuries... truly heroic!

Bi Kun looked at Shen Bei and finally understood what Shen Bei meant by the third wave. It was to use the You Family to spread a message, thereby luring and killing people.

No wonder he told him not to deal with the You Family.

It was laughable that after they found out Shen Bei wasn't in the courtyard and then heard You Guang say Shen Bei couldn't stand the loneliness and went to find women, they actually believed it.

Damn it! What kind of person could come up with such a disarming reason!

"After this wave is dealt with, Hong Long's remnants should be mostly gone. Even if there are still some, they won't dare to act rashly anymore," Shen Bei said to Bi Kun, "Hong Long's matter can be brought to a close."

Bi Kun thought of the You Family and frowned. He wondered if Shen Bei still intended to protect the You Family?

"We'll talk about this later. However, since so many people died this time, you'll need to write a report, right? And your elder, should the Night Watchers be informed as well?"

Shen Bei glanced at Bi Kun and asked with a smile, "Team Leader Bi, what did you say?"

Bi Kun said, "I said for your safety, don't act on your own like this again. You'd best stay in our compound."

Shen Bei laughed, glanced at Bi Kun, and then swept his gaze over the other Night Watchers present, seeing that they hadn't realized the problem, and many even nodded.

Shen Bei, who had originally planned to leave, stopped his steps, turned to Bi Kun, walked in front of him, and said word by word, "Bi Kun, you are a Team Leader, and I am also a Team Leader. How I act is not for you to dictate. Understand?!"

After saying this, Shen Bei looked at the other Night Watchers, his eyes cold: "Clean up these corpses for me."

Dropping this sentence, Shen Bei ignored them. He strode forward directly, his steps very straight. There were several Night Watchers standing there, but Shen Bei didn't change direction at all. It looked like he was about to collide with them.

The few of them looked at Shen Bei's cold expression, and a chill went through their hearts. They quickly moved aside to make way.

Especially when Shen Bei's gaze fell on them, they involuntarily lowered their heads.

At this moment, his cold imposing manner, along with the scene of corpses everywhere, made the Night Watchers present feel a sense of solemnity.

They couldn't help but recall Shen Bei's words: "I am also a Team Leader!"

These words were imprinted on their hearts. They had always tended to forget that Shen Bei was a Team Leader, but now they no longer showed any contempt or forgetfulness.

Bi Kun was also stunned. He hadn't expected such direct confrontation. He opened his mouth to say something but found that there were no words that could follow Shen Bei's.

The impression that Shen Bei was a Team Leader was truly imprinted in his heart for the first time.

...

After Shen Bei had his outburst in front of Bi Kun and the others, he shook them off and left on his own, not caring about anyone's expressions.

Since he had risen to the position of a Night Watcher Team Leader, he should have the corresponding power.

He knew his own strength, and he was an outsider. Although he was a Team Leader, his presence among the Night Watchers was very low. Thus, he could only use some methods to deepen their impression.

Shen Bei believed that after today, at least they wouldn't dare to ignore him. First, he would solidify his position, and as for other things, he would take his time.

Walking on the street, the real noise assaulting his eardrums made him very uncomfortable.

He really wanted to solve the problem of the Little Five Decays of Heaven and Man directly.

But Shen Bei had to continue wandering the streets. After all, he had pulled off a daring move, so he had to prolong the time to show his anxious and hesitant state of mind.

From leaving at the third watch until dawn, Shen Bei suffered from the torment of noise, and coupled with staying up all night, he looked very haggard.

Just as Shen Bei was wandering aimlessly, he passed by the wall of an ordinary household.

Suddenly, he felt a force abruptly wrap around him, pulling him into a courtyard.

Shen Bei was momentarily stunned. Just as he was about to act, he saw Prince Wei smiling with a hooked lip: "If you're not full of energy and can't sleep, then you must have something on your mind."

Seeing this, Shen Bei muttered in his heart: Does this Prince also like to suffer unnecessarily? This small courtyard... isn't even as good as where he lives.

"Greetings, Your Highness," Shen Bei replied, "Mainly, the tinnitus is very noisy. Also, a few ignorant remnants of Hong Long were dealt with by me."

Prince Wei raised an eyebrow, holding a warm teapot, and said meaningfully, "I've already heard about Lihua Sect and Huang Du's matters. Kill when necessary; cutting them off prevents chaos, so let's not dwell on that."

"At your age, you shouldn't be overexerting yourself..."

Shen Bei: ...

"Little Five Decays?" Prince Wei asked further.

Shen Bei immediately said, "Your subordinate is currently very confused about Cultivating in the Martial God Realm, and regarding the Little Five Decays, I am even more ignorant. I wonder if Your Highness could guide me?"

Shen Bei naturally wouldn't be completely ignorant, but this sentence was a test. A test of the Prince's attitude towards him.

If they could continue talking outside of work, it meant he could get closer to Prince Wei and then dig for information about the Old Capital.

In fact, these days, Shen Bei had also collected information about the Old Capital.

All aspects of the intelligence showed that the Old Capital indeed existed.

Shen Bei even had a few specific locations as potential candidates for its whereabouts.

But all discoverable clues indicated that the Old Capital was under a Seal. Apart from a few individual members of the Imperial Family who knew how to open it, other extraordinary people shouldn't even think about it.

Therefore, now that Shen Bei had achieved certain results in the Night Watchers and could get closer to Wang Ye, that would be for the best.

So, he needed to test and see his friendliness, to determine Prince Wei's mindset, and then he would know how to approach him in the future.

If Prince Wei wasn't friendly enough, Shen Bei would continue to cause trouble, thoroughly build up his reputation, and he wouldn't believe that he couldn't attract other members of the Imperial Family!

"Little Five Decays, huh..."

Prince Wei sat down steadily: "If we were to talk about that, it would be a long story..."

Shen Bei: Then make a long story short!
