407: Sorry, this forced me to install it.

Shen Bei rode his electric bike, delivering packages to various residential areas in the northern part of the city.

People nowadays really have no concept of time.

Some customers would say they’d be down in three minutes, but after three minutes and one second, there was still no sign of them.

Shen Bei had to correct their sense of time, so he’d just drop the package at the courier station.

He didn’t care who it was or if they wanted to complain.

Shen Bei simply wouldn’t tolerate their nonsense.

He kept delivering until noon.

There was still more than half of the packages left in his vehicle.

It must be said that ever since Changtu County got a Permanent Dungeon,

the demand for deliveries had increased dramatically.

Packages piled up like mountains; he simply couldn't deliver them all.

Shen Bei rode his electric bike back to the courier company.

He would eat lunch there.

Since meals were provided, Shen Bei would take advantage whenever he could.

The boss wasn't there this time, probably still at the Labor Market looking for workers.

It was the boss’s daughter, nicknamed Bai Yatou, who personally cooked for the couriers.

And surprisingly, her cooking was pretty good.

“I always thought pretty women couldn’t cook,” Shen Bei said, grinning as he held his tray.

San Yatou let out an “oh my” and laughed heartily, “You’re quite the smooth talker, you get an extra chicken drumstick.”

Seeing this, the other couriers all gave thumbs up and imitated him, saying:

“San Yatou is so clever and skillful!”

“The boss is so lucky!”

“If only I’d married earlier…”

San Yatou put her hands on her hips, maintaining a calm demeanor, and said in an unmoving tone, “Enough, I’m immune!”

The other couriers scoffed, having wasted their breath and not getting a chicken drumstick.

The entire courier company paused work to enjoy lunch.

The dining area wasn’t very big, and some couriers, finding it too hot inside, took their trays and squatted outside the company entrance to eat.

San Yatou handed out a bottle of iced drink to everyone.

She looked at Shen Bei’s profile, covered her mouth, and smiled, “You’re Shen Bei, right? I recognized you at first glance.”

Shen Bei shoveled his food, eating ravenously, “My face is just too striking, it gives me no peace.”

San Yatou: ???

Shen Bei twisted open the bottle cap, took a sip of iced cola, then capped it again and continued, “This whole morning, several girls asked for my WeChat, it’s so annoying.”

San Yatou’s mouth twitched, a little shocked.

They said Martial Artists were arrogant and looked down on ordinary people, but look at Shen Bei, he’s quite the talker.

He didn’t have that aura of keeping people at arm’s length at all.

“Why are you doing odd jobs?” San Yatou asked, sitting opposite him, like a curious child.

Shen Bei gnawed on his chicken drumstick, “It’s my only hobby.”

San Yatou: …

Are Martial Artists’ hobbies all this unconventional?

“How old are you this year?” San Yatou asked, blinking.

“Eighteen!”

San Yatou’s expression froze, her mouth twitched, “Only eighteen, too young!”

She was already twenty-five and unmarried, and she thought Shen Bei was nice, wanting to…

Never mind.

Too young.

She couldn’t hope to climb such a high branch.

But the next moment,

Shen Bei’s words completely broke through San Yatou’s composure.

Shen Bei said with a surprised expression, “Eighteen inches is still small?”

“…”

San Yatou’s face flushed red, and she said exasperatedly, “I was asking about your age!”

“Oh, I thought you were asking about the size.”

San Yatou rolled her eyes in annoyance and muttered, “What kind of person are you?!”

Shen Bei smiled and asked, “What about you? I don’t believe you’re twenty-five!”

San Yatou sighed wistfully, “Ah, I’m old, already twenty-five. I’m many years older than you. In your eyes, I’m an old auntie.”

Shen Bei looked at San Yatou for a moment, then shook his head, “You don’t look it. Your skin is so well-maintained, you look like an eighteen or nineteen-year-old girl.”

“Your skin looks exceptionally young, but your temperament and charm show your age. I’m very curious, you’re so old, why aren’t you married yet?”

San Yatou smiled faintly, saying disingenuously, “I’m an anti-marriage person. Why should I get married when I’m living perfectly fine? Only someone who’s lost their mind would get married.”

Shen Bei said, “But a life without marriage is somewhat incomplete!”

San Yatou scoffed, “What can marriage bring a person?”

Shen Bei blinked, “Marriage, it brought you into this world!”

“…”

San Yatou was fuming, but then realized Shen Bei had a point.

It was because her parents married that she was brought into this world.

After chatting for a while,

San Yatou’s face reddened, and holding back her anger, she stood up and said, “I’m going to the restroom. I’m not talking to you anymore, it’s boring.”

Shen Bei: …

No, is there something wrong with you?

We’re eating, why bring up going to the restroom?

No wonder no one wants her; talking like this won’t get you any friends.

Not long after, San Yatou came out, feeling much better.

Shen Bei had just finished eating, wiped his mouth, and watched San Yatou walk out, his eyes darting.

Shen Bei grinned and asked, “I’m very curious, for a beauty like you, do you usually wipe your butt with your left hand or your right hand?”

San Yatou was stunned, “Definitely with my right hand, how uncomfortable would my left hand be?”

Shen Bei said with a look of disgust, “You’re really disgusting, using your hand! We normal people use paper!”

Come on, let’s hurt each other.

San Yatou: …

San Yatou was truly about to die of anger.

The other couriers nearby were spitting out their food from laughter.

“Are all you Martial Artists so humorous?” San Yatou asked with a slight, nervous laugh, probing gently.

Shen Bei shrugged, “Only this one example.”

San Yatou simply said, “Oh,” and then added, “Then this world still has hope.”

Shen Bei: …

That hit hard, my friend.

After the meal, they rested for a while.

Some couriers simply lay on the ground and snored away.

But Shen Bei, full of energy, left right after eating to continue delivering packages.

His afternoon delivery zone was the northwest direction.

After delivering to a few residential areas,

he arrived near Beishan Elementary School.

Suddenly, Shen Bei remembered that Qi Chuanyu’s home seemed to be nearby.

It had been a while since he’d seen them, ever since he entered the Dungeon.

It was strange; normally, the Unlucky Four would constantly message and call him.

It was either about eating, drinking, or going out to play.

Why had they been so quiet recently?

Shen Bei pulled out his phone.

He opened WeChat.

Their last messages to him were still:

“Are you dead?”

“Can we have a feast now?”

“Did you fall into the Dungeon and can’t get out?”

“Brother, don’t forget to bring me some Dungeon specialties, hey!”

These messages were from before Shencheng Martial Arts University’s holiday.

Shen Bei made a video call to Qi Chuanyu.

But no one answered.

He called Niu Yanben and the others one by one, but still no answer.

He dialed their phone numbers.

All were turned off.

“What the hell? Are they dead?”

Shen Bei rolled his eyes.

Taking advantage of his delivery route, he went to Qi Chuanyu’s house.

He met the legendary, Five-Rank Martial Artist, Old Man Qi.

Back in high school, he thought Qi Chuanyu was really amazing, having a Five-Rank Martial Artist in his family.

He was truly an existence to look up to.

And now…

He was still an existence Shen Bei looked up to.

He was too damn tall!

Old Man Qi’s height was a full two meters and twelve centimeters!

Shen Bei suspected that Old Man Qi would accidentally hit doorframes when visiting others’ homes.

“You also think I’m very tall, don’t you?”

Old Man Qi smiled, inviting Shen Bei to sit, “I usually don’t go out much, afraid of stepping on someone.”

Shen Bei was amused, “Master, you have such a good mindset.”

“Haha,” Old Man Qi laughed heartily, “I’m old. There’s no hope for progress on the Dao of martial arts, so I can only remain carefree and happy.”

“You are still a vigorous Senior.”

Old Man Qi nodded, “You’ve come to find Little Qi, haven’t you? He and a few friends, named Niu 6 and Bellyache, and Big Guy, went to the Dungeon for training.”

Shen Bei said, “Oh.” He thought these guys had gotten into trouble; it turned out they went to the Dungeon.

“According to my estimation, after some training, they will be able to Breakthrough to Five-Rank. They are truly young and promising, probably catching up to you, right? My grandson is accumulating strength, and his future progress will be rapid. Just let him take care of you.”

Old Man Qi’s face glowed with pride for Qi Chuanyu.

After all, Old Man Qi’s life stopped at Five-Rank, and how old was Qi Chuanyu?

His future was immeasurable.

In Old Man Qi’s opinion, surpassing Shen Bei was no problem at all!

But Shen Bei slowly stood up, True Qi surging, “I’m sorry, I’m Seven-Rank… Your grandson will still have to eat my dust…”

Old Man Qi: !!!
