159: All the men and horses were killed!

Great Xia Seventh Town?

Before him, players in the Great Xia Region had already established six towns!

Yet, when he was enfeoffed as a Viscount, the system clearly prompted him that he was the first player to be granted a Viscount title!

This indicates that the previous six towns did not follow the same path as him, upgrading to towns by relying on noble titles.

Instead, those players upgraded their villages to towns step by step, amidst the encirclement by Great Qin and the harassment of Mountain Bandits!

And there were six of them!

Even more frightening was that there was no information about these six towns in the forums!

This greatly surprised Lin Yue.

Currently, villages established by players still appear in various parts of Great Qin from time to time, but they are quickly annihilated, as establishing a village only requires a village building token.

However, to establish a town, there is no such thing as a town building token; one can only upgrade from a village to a town step by step.

But to upgrade a village to a town, it requires prosperity, three thousand taels of silver, and a population of ten thousand people!

Among these ten thousand people, relying solely on indigenous residents is unrealistic, because once the indigenous population increases, Great Qin will definitely send troops to encircle and suppress them!

Therefore, there must be many players among these ten thousand people.

However, the major guilds in the game have not issued any statements, which indicates that it is most likely unrelated to them.

Because if they successfully upgrade a village to a town, it would be a living advertisement, attracting countless players to join them in search of a foothold, and they would have no reason to conceal it.

In a level three village with ten thousand people, the number of players would definitely not be less than 1,000, perhaps even more!

Because for a player-established village, if they want to cope with the encirclement of Mountain Bandits and government troops, rapidly attracting players to join is the only method!

After establishing a village, players will bring some indigenous residents with higher Martial Power to assist, so that in the early stages of village establishment, they can have some self-preservation capability.

The top six towns in this world have already been established; Lin Yue doesn't know how many players are inside, but he feels that the number six thousand is only a minimum, not more!

Yet, not a single rumor has leaked out!

Then there's only one possibility...

Lin Yue thought for a moment and then said to Feng Cai, "You must maintain vigilance and not give the Mountain Bandits any opportunity!"

"Understood!" Feng Cai responded, then went to find Hou Da.

Lin Yue, on the other hand, walked to an unoccupied spot and silently chanted, "Use the Golden Military General Recruitment Order!"

Last time, the Golden Military General Recruitment Order summoned Zong Ze; this time, he wondered who it would summon!

However, he was the Great Xia Seventh Town; if the first six towns were, as he suspected, part of a single force, wouldn't that force now possess at least six First-rate or Second-Rate Military Generals?

How could he even play anymore?

Indeed, the power of an individual is weak.

Before he could think further, a purple light descended from the sky in front of Lin Yue, slowly forming a Starry Sky Gate!

Immediately after, a scene appeared before Lin Yue's eyes.

On an ancient battlefield, two armies met.

One side flew a banner with the character 'Li', and the other side also flew a banner with the character 'Li'; both sides fought relentlessly!

Until a banner with the character 'An' waved, and all the Soldiers behind it pressed forward to begin a counterattack!

Following that was the other side's swift and unexpected collapse!

But a so-called hero is someone who steps forward at a critical moment!

At this moment, the retreating side was in self-induced chaos, scattering like birds and fleeing in all directions, while the victorious side had already begun to harvest the lives of the defeated, as well as their spoils of war!

Just at this critical juncture, a Military General from the defeated side stepped forward!

"If I do not bait the enemy with my body today, the army will be annihilated!"

Then this great general removed his battle robe, baring his chest, and with a roar, he charged into the fierce enemy ranks, like a pack of wolves, wielding a two-meter-long Modao!

He was like a god descending to earth, his Modao continuously cutting down several enemy Soldiers; anyone who dared to stop in front of him met only one fate: both man and horse shattered!

Seeing this, the Soldiers behind that Military General finally stabilized their formation, regained their morale, and with renewed fighting spirit, they all raised their swords and charged forward again!

When two armies meet on a narrow path, the brave one wins!

At this moment, there were no schemes or stratagems, no art of war as deception. There was only an unorganized, brutal, and bloody clash of blades!

The first echelons of both armies collided; when one side was cut down, the rear immediately moved up to continue the fight!

Lin Yue had never witnessed such a blood-pumping scene before; it was far more impactful and terrifying than him charging into the enemy lines!

But the Soldiers of both sides were completely unaware, refusing to yield, and in a short time, three echelons of Soldiers had replaced each other to continue the slaughter!

They all knew perfectly well that at this moment, taking even one step back would mean the entire army collapsing again!

Conversely, whichever side could cut down the enemy and instill fear in them would be victorious!

Every swing of their blades was a prelude to the trumpet of victory!

In ancient times, when communication was poor, people were blindly obedient, so typically, an army would rout when its casualty rate reached ten percent, and certainly no more than twenty percent!

But this war was not like that; people died wave after wave, and the rear replenished them again and again!

No one retreated a single step; everyone's belief was incredibly firm!

This war was fought so crudely, yet so cruelly!

Until the end, the wall-like Modao Army slowly advanced; at this moment, Lin Yue truly witnessed the terror of the Modao Army!

Wherever the Modao Army passed, both man and horse were shattered!

The cavalry successfully outflanked, piercing into the heart of the enemy from the rear, and only then did the enemy suffer a great defeat and flee!

This brought an end to this human tragedy.

"This humble general, Li Siye, greets my Lord!" a burly man walked up and cupped his hands in greeting.

Two talents!

With a Martial Power value of 94, Li Siye should be in the first echelon within the entire scope of the Golden Military General Recruitment Order!

Because Lin Yue felt that his upper limit was definitely not just a First-rate Military General! Moreover, there was also the Modao Army tailor-made for him!

With him and the Modao Army, he would always have an extra trump card!

"With Siye, I am like a tiger with wings!" Lin Yue laughed heartily. Returning this time, Li Siye was definitely his greatest gain!

With such a fierce general, he would possess a final line of defense, an impregnable line of defense!

Feng Cai walked over at this moment and said, "My Lord, Zhang Wenfeng has arrived with five hundred government Soldiers, and they are currently stationed around the village to prevent any mischief from petty individuals."

After speaking, he glanced at the mighty strong man beside him but did not ask any further questions.

"Good, continue to stand guard. Let me know when Song Yi and the others from their village arrive," Lin Yue said.

"Understood," Feng Cai replied.

"My Lord, This humble general is willing to go and stand guard!" Li Siye suddenly requested!

Lin Yue pondered for a moment and then agreed; him idly wandering around the village with Li Siye by his side wouldn't be of much use.

But with Li Siye temporarily guarding the village, no matter how many Mountain Bandits came, he would ensure they never returned!
