312: Xiongnu heavy cavalry

"Kill!" The White Horse Righteous Cavalry entered the Encampment, engaging the Xiongnu Soldiers in close-quarters combat.

This was a clash of life and death!

Whoever retreated would die!

Lin Yue swiftly wielded his Miao Blade, cutting down a Xiongnu people Soldier standing on the ground with one strike!

Then, he struck down another Xiongnu people Soldier who was frantically trying to escape!

Blood splattered everywhere, and the smell of gore permeated the Encampment!

At this moment, a Xiongnu Military General flew directly towards Lin Yue from a distant watchtower!

This person must have been the Xiongnu Military General guarding the Encampment at night; he glided through the air, a long saber whistling as he charged at Lin Yue!

Zhao Yun stepped forward to shield Lin Yue, but before the Military General could reach Lin Yue, he was struck down by General Yang Ye, who had risen from the ground behind him!

Blood sprayed into the air, finally splattering across the ground!

This scene further ignited the fighting spirit of the White Horse Righteous Cavalry!

They charged forward like men possessed, following General Yang Ye's warhorse!

Each group, led by their respective commanders, fanned out to attack various parts of the Encampment!

Fortunately, the many Soldiers in the Right Wise King's Encampment were still in a dazed state from just waking up; some hadn't even managed to put on their leather armor, wearing only single garments, and some Xiongnu Soldiers even rushed out of their barracks shirtless, all disorganized and without any effective formations.

In such a state, how could they be a match for the White Horse Righteous Cavalry!

Thus, Lin Yue's Army advanced like a hot knife through butter, quickly scattering them, and the cavalry that followed closely behind took their lives one by one!

However, Lin Yue knew that this situation wouldn't last long, because the Right Wise King's Encampment would receive news of the enemy attack before they breached the gates. Compared to the previous Encampments, they had more time to react, so they would quickly organize defenses, and the resistance would become increasingly fierce!

Therefore, at this moment, they couldn't give them any chance to breathe; the more chaotic it was, the more advantageous it would be for their actions.

At this moment, Jin Dao General Yang Ye ran to Lin Yue's side with a grim expression and shouted, "My Lord, launch the fire arrows!"

Lin Yue nodded, this plan was exactly what he had in mind. It seemed it was time for a great fire to make them even more panicked. He then turned and shouted to those behind him, "Launch fire arrows!"

Half of the cavalry drew their longbows, took out the pre-prepared fire sources to ignite their arrows, waiting only for an order to unleash a volley of arrows!

The other half of the cavalry slowed their charge, focusing on clearing out the Xiongnu Soldiers in front of them!

Seeing that the time was right, Lin Yue nodded to Yang Yansi, who then used all his strength to shout:

"Shoot!"

In an instant, ten thousand arrows were unleashed!

A curtain of fire covering the night sky dispelled the darkness, completely illuminating the Right Wise King's Encampment!

The Xiongnu Soldiers, who had just picked up their weapons and rushed out of their barracks, saw this terrifying scene and all stood frozen, mouths agape, muttering, "Gods..."

Finally, this curtain of fire landed, transforming into great blazes, leaving light in the world!

Left in the Right Wise King's Encampment!

And at the same time, engulfing them in a sea of fire!

During this time, the White Horse Righteous Cavalry once again nocked fire arrows onto their Qin bows!

Yang Yansi shouted again:

"Shoot!"

"Fire, three, two, one, shoot!"

After three such volleys, the embers finally turned into a sea of fire, engulfing more than half of the Right Wise King's Encampment!

And as if divinely aided, the fire arrows landed in the Xiongnu people Encampment's stables, the raging flames igniting the reins, and the warhorses, like wild horses unbridled, bolted madly towards the other side of the Encampment where there was no fire!

They were like Prometheus, carrying the flames to the other side, letting the firelight illuminate the entire Xiongnu people Encampment!

"Killing the enemy and serving the country is all about this moment!

Follow me and kill!" Lin Yue roared hoarsely!

"Kill!" Countless White Horse Righteous Cavalry echoed him, their voices piercing the sky!

"Kill!" Lin Yue snatched the great banner from Yang Yansi's hand and led the charge!

Lin Yue knew that although the fire was large, it would not cause much harm to the Xiongnu Soldiers, because lacking sufficient fuel, this great fire would not last long and would eventually extinguish!

And the startled and chaotic Xiongnu Soldiers would return to normal, eventually coming with full fury to stop Lin Yue and their attack!

Therefore, they must act quickly!

Lin Yue, holding the great banner, crossed the fire-ravaged area, charging straight along the main road!

And Zhao Yun and the three young generals of the Yang Family closely protected Lin Yue, cutting down any Xiongnu people who dared to obstruct them!

But what had to come, always came. On the smoke-filled, fiery road, a huge human silhouette appeared!

When Lin Yue looked closely, he saw a Xiongnu Military General, like a small mountain, leading a troop of heavy cavalry directly towards him!

Heavy cavalry!

Lin Yue inserted the great banner into the armor on his back, ensuring it wouldn't fall, then drew his Miao Blade and charged directly at the Xiongnu people heavy cavalry!

Lin Yue didn't know how many of them there were, nor did he know who the mountain-like Xiongnu Military General at the forefront was; he only knew that when two brave opponents meet, the braver one wins!

"Kill!"

Zhao Yun was the first to break through the formation!

Wielding his Dragon-Gall Silver Spear, he leaped from his warhorse, crashing alone into the formation!

"Boom!"

The scene of men and horses falling, which Lin Yue had imagined, did not occur!

Because the mountain-like Xiongnu Military General was the first to emerge from the formation, delivering a spear thrust to meet Zhao Yun!

"Bang!"

A strong wind suddenly rose!

Lin Yue felt his face stung by the "strong wind"!

The opposing Xiongnu people heavy cavalry, however, were fully armored, both man and horse, with iron plates covering their faces, completely unaffected. This sight made Lin Yue even more frustrated!

Lin Yue was not the only one with this feeling; his personal guards behind him felt the same, but no one stopped, all charging forward fearlessly!

In a blink of an eye, Zhao Yun and the mountain-like Military General exchanged dozens of spear thrusts. Both had dismounted to fight on foot, but both were floating in mid-air. The two fought further and further away, quickly moving out of sight of the others.

And this provided an excellent battleground for both sides' cavalry!

"Kill!"

Lin Yue knew that this was intentional on the part of the Xiongnu Military General, because light cavalry fighting heavy cavalry, in this limited, wide, straight road, had no chance of victory!

This was not about the bravery and combat power of the White Horse Righteous Cavalry, but rather the inherent characteristics of light and heavy cavalry!

A thousand-strong heavy cavalry force, at a critical moment, could decide a battle of tens of thousands of people!

What's more, this decisive battle location, for the Xiongnu people heavy cavalry, was a natural killing ground!

But Lin Yue was helpless at this moment. He couldn't retreat because of the heavy cavalry in front of him, nor could he retreat to save himself and let the White Horse Righteous Cavalry cavalry behind him take the brunt!

These elites, these personal guards, might still have a chance to fight the Xiongnu people heavy cavalry with their realm suppression, but if it were the White Horse Righteous Cavalry cavalry behind them, Lin Yue could think of no other outcome than being crushed into a pulp by the fully armored Xiongnu people heavy cavalry!

At this moment, even if Lin Yue were to die, he had to go forward!

"Heaven and Earth, protect my Great Qin!

Kill!"

Lin Yue roared hoarsely!
