183: Slaughter Camp

The Generals' expressions changed upon hearing this.

Eating hearts?

A Qin Dynasty commoner beside him, sobbing, explained to Lin Yue:

"The Xiongnu Danghu enjoys eating human hearts, especially those of children, claiming they are tender and delicious.

Under the Xiongnu people's example, not a single child of the Qin Dynasty has escaped their cruel fate!

When children became scarce, they didn't discriminate, sparing neither hearts, livers, nor lungs; in this Encampment, these are far more precious than ordinary cattle or sheep.

If it weren't for the Local Official thinking we old men were too old, we probably wouldn't be alive now."

"These beasts!" Lin Yue cursed!

Once a person enjoys eating humans, they can no longer be called human, especially these Xiongnu people who specifically target children!

The Xiongnu Danghu before him was a beast!

To call him a beast is an overstatement; some beasts don't even eat their own kind!

The Generals beside him were also filled with righteous indignation, wishing they could kill these beasts on the spot!

"Did they eat them too?" Lin Yue pointed at the women and children.

The Qin Dynasty commoner nodded silently: "Those of high status naturally ate quite a lot; this has become a custom within the Xiongnu people Encampment, with only some herdsmen not having eaten.

That is also because of their low status."

Lin Yue took a deep breath. In ancient times, King Chu liked slender waists, and many in his palace starved to death.

Now, under the Xiongnu Danghu's example, this bestial behavior has spread throughout the entire Xiongnu people Encampment.

"Li Mu!" Lin Yue called out.

"This humble general is here!" Li Mu responded.

"Tell Yang Chen not to come," Lin Yue said in a deep voice.

Li Mu raised an eyebrow, somewhat unclear what he meant.

"Slaughter the Encampment!

Those taller than a carriage wheel, kill without mercy!"

Lin Yue said sternly.

Such people have no reason to exist in this world anymore.

"Understood!" The Generals were stunned, then responded, their eyes blazing with fierce fire!

Even the Qin Dynasty commoners were extremely excited, volunteering one after another!

"Summon Liu Sandao and Du Tong here."

After speaking, Lin Yue walked out of the Encampment, quietly looking at the sky and pondering, what kind of people would think of eating humans even when resources were abundant?

This was very difficult for a young man living in the mid-21st century to understand... "Reporting, General, Colonel Lin Yue, leading the White Horse Camp, has greatly defeated the Xiongnu people tribe ahead, capturing the Xiongnu Danghu and eighty thousand Xiongnu people!" A scout reported!

She Jian nodded and smiled at Liu He and the others:

"This kid is pretty good; he didn't disgrace us."

"Of course, that's why they say you have a discerning eye for heroes, General!" Liu He said with a smile.

Thirty thousand White Horse Camp broke ten thousand Xiongnu people, achieving a great victory!

His own Army of one hundred thousand, primarily infantry, would not easily achieve such a result, as they would be discovered by the enemy before even approaching the Encampment.

But they could only envy; no other thoughts arose, for who else had such outstanding achievements to command one hundred thousand cavalry!

Moreover, even if they were given thirty thousand cavalry, who could be sure they would achieve such a result?

"What hero? With his shoddy skills," She Jian said with a laugh, but the corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up.

Liu He slightly curled his lip at the sight, then continued to flatter him.

Not long after, another scout reported: "General, Colonel Lin Yue sent someone to notify Commandant Yang Chen to come for an escort, saying there was an important matter to discuss."

"Then you can inform Yang Chen to go," She Jian said with a smile. Yang Chen was not subordinate to Lin Yue, which is why Yang Chen sent someone to ask for instructions.

"He's probably asking Yang Chen to receive the captives," Liu He said with a smile.

"Probably so. This kid is soft-hearted. If it were me, I'd just bury them.

Keeping them wastes food and requires a portion of Soldiers to guard them," She Jian said with a smile.

"Hehe, Colonel Lin Yue is still young after all; he naturally doesn't have your decisiveness, General," Liu He said, complimenting him with a smile.

"Not at all, not at all," She Jian stroked his beard and said with a smile, clearly quite pleased.

Not long after the order was sent out, Yang Chen rushed back.

"Didn't you go to receive the captives? Why are you back?" She Jian asked.

"General, This humble general had just set off when Colonel Lin Yue sent someone to tell This humble general not to go," Yang Chen said.

"No need to go?" She Jian was somewhat confused, then asked, "Why?"

"This humble general is not clear either," Yang Chen shook his head.

"Could it be that Colonel Lin Yue saw that we weren't far from him and wanted to wait for us to receive them?" Liu He tentatively suggested.

She Jian thought about it and concluded that this was the only plausible reason, so he asked Yang Chen, "How far is it from here to Lin Yue's location?"

"About eighty li," Yang Chen replied.

"Then let's go," She Jian said, nodding.

Seeing this, Liu He felt his guess was eighty percent correct, so he said to She Jian, "Perhaps Colonel Lin Yue is waiting for you to praise him!"

"This small military achievement is not worth mentioning for the overall situation. He's dreaming if he thinks he'll get my praise!

Just wait and see how I'll kick him!" She Jian said with a laugh and a curse.

Lin Yue was promoted by him and was his direct subordinate.

Now that Lin Yue had repeatedly achieved extraordinary feats, this not only strongly refuted the dissatisfied voices when She Jian promoted Lin Yue, but also brought him honor!

"General, that's not appropriate. Colonel Lin Yue has just gained merit; you cannot kick his backside," Liu He exclaimed in an exaggerated manner.

"Hmph, he even wants us to receive the captives; what a grand display of authority!" Seeing Liu He cooperate so well, She Jian relaxed and shouted loudly:

"Yang Chen, tell Lin Yue to bury all the captives alive, leaving none!

Tell Lin Yue to scram quickly and not waste our time."

Before Yang Chen could respond, Liu He, with a face full of anxiety, tried to dissuade him:

"No, no, General, absolutely not!

Killing captives brings ill fortune!"

"Hmph, he won't die!" She Jian still insisted, somewhat haughtily.

Fortunately, under Liu He's persistent persuasion, She Jian finally relented.

She Jian's face was full of smiles, thinking that Liu He was quite sensible and cooperated well with him! Making his act incredibly smooth!

And Liu He, looking at the beaming She Jian, felt a bit resentful, secretly cursing, "Pah, this is really f***ing tiring!"

The two looked at each other, laughed, and hurried forward, leaving a bewildered Yang Chen behind!

"You're an old General; you're not even afraid of death, so how can you still believe in such things?" She Jian felt it wasn't enough and said to Liu He disdainfully.

Liu He secretly thought: Please, be a human! There's no one else here; we're all brothers in the Army, so stop pretending!

But thoughts aside, he still smiled at She Jian: "Alas, a fierce General like you is naturally fearless, but there are more mediocre people like us in this world, so we naturally have some reverence."

"Alas, I don't understand you guys," She Jian shook his head, but his heart was blooming with joy!

Liu He finally breathed a sigh of relief when he stopped speaking.

Otherwise, if he kept talking, he would have had to vomit!

Suddenly, a rider galloped from the front, shouting:

"General, Colonel Lin Yue slaughtered the Encampment!

All Xiongnu people taller than a carriage wheel were killed!"

Everyone's expressions suddenly changed!

Their eyes widened in disbelief!

She Jian suddenly spurred his horse forward, cursing as he rode: "Damn! Play is play, mischief is mischief, but why are you doing this for real, kid!"

And Liu He, left behind in shock, blurted out: "Holy cow, this youngster!"
