102: Chapter 102 The Great Wall of the Northern Crown of the Martial Immortal
In the vast space at the edge of the Silver Core, ten thirty-meter-tall Giants of Light still stood by the star gate.
As the 11 warships of Blue Star filed out, the star gate closed.
The Giants of Light expressed their congratulations: "Congratulations on passing the trial; you have become the 108th member of the Silver Core Alliance!"
Tu Kulei dismissed it with disdain: "Such a small challenge is not worth mentioning before our Civilization of Gods."
Yu Lan asked the most crucial question: "Was that world a parallel universe, or a scene you created for the trial?"
All the Giants of Light focused their gaze on Chu Xingyang: "I believe you already know the answer. Your God is omniscient and omnipotent."
Omniscient and omnipotent? Chu Xingyang pondered to himself that he didn't feel that way, at least his current self certainly wasn't yet.
While thinking, he opened his palm, revealing a clump of earth.
He had intentionally kept it on him while chatting with the Farmers.
Even though he had guessed the answer, he still needed an item he could bring out as evidence.
The fact that this soil did not disappear as the star gate closed further confirmed his hypothesis.
Chu Xingyang threw the clump of earth to the Science Officer on the divine might: "Collect and analyze it, preserve the data!"
Although the Science Officer didn't understand why the Bishop suddenly wanted a dirt clod tested, he hurriedly took it.
Yu Lan looked up at the ten bright lights in the dark space and voiced her doubt: "How are there only 108? Are there so few civilizations in the Milky Way Galaxy?"
She found it somewhat unbelievable; the Milky Way Galaxy was much larger than her home Three-Spiral System, so there should be at least tens of thousands of interstellar civilizations.
The Giants of Light immediately responded: "In fact, many civilizations that entered the trial have not passed even after a hundred million years, and the star gate has never opened for them again."
"Even for those who pass, they are scored based on factors such as completion time, objective achievement, and personnel loss. Only those with a score above 60 are judged qualified to join the Silver Core Alliance."
Hearing this, Helmsman Tang Ling looked smug and confident: "Needless to say, we must have a perfect score of 100."
The Giants of Light slowly said: "You have the highest score since the Silver Core Alliance was founded over two hundred million years ago: 1048 points!"
The crowd cheered, while some didn't forget to mock: "Some fools actually thought it was a hundred-point scale."
Tang Ling's face turned red: "How was I supposed to know? Besides, going from 60 to 1048 is like jumping from earth to heaven; this Silver Core Alliance is too funny."
At this time, high-level officials of the other 107 alliance civilizations also received a notification of the leaderboard update.
Everyone found it hard to believe.
The Lotte people shouted in the alliance communication: "This score is impossible! Even the Zhaode Super Civilization only got 202 points back then. You have to realize that what you face inside are parallel universes of equal strength!"
"I also think it's impossible. After our trial's star gate opened, we went back and prepared all our warships, entering with over 1700 in total. By the time we cleared it and came out, only 15 were left, and we joined the alliance with a score of 61. We were almost completely wiped out in there."
"But this Xingyang Civilization had its entire crew survive, and it's said they only entered with 11 warships. When they returned, the ships didn't even have a scratch on them."
The 107 members fell into an eerie silence.
Back then, they had all survived by the skin of their teeth, using all sorts of schemes and even relying on luck to pass.
Not to mention some legendary powerful civilizations that are still trapped in the trial and haven't come out yet.
Of course, the people resting back on Blue Star were unaware of the surprise felt by other members of the alliance.
Chu Xingyang had more important things to do; he immediately contacted the two flagships, divine ascension and divine grace, in the Three-Spiral System.
Although they had arrived in the Milky Way Galaxy through a randomly positioned black hole, the personnel on both sides currently did not know each other's specific location in the universe.
Soon, Tomwence on Southern Neighbor Two sent over a holographic map of the universe redrawn by numerous astronomers.
Scientists on Blue Star also began day-and-night research.
A few days later, chief science officer Murphy on the divine grace was the first to provide an answer.
"The Three-Spiral System and the Milky Way Galaxy both reside on a massive celestial structure within the observable universe! They are 5.4 billion light-years apart."
Chu Xingyang zoomed in and out of the holographic image, looking at the massive feather-like filaments with a playful expression: "To think they are both located on the massive structure of the Hercules-Corona Borealis Great Wall. The universe is surprisingly small."
Everyone cast astonished looks at him.
They didn't understand why the Bishop was suddenly talking nonsense.
Just then, the angry voice of Gu Shuiqing, captain of the divine ascension, came through the quantum transmitter: "Can you come back through the black hole? I want to destroy the Light Walkers more than anything right now!"
"Clearly, the Solar System left through a black hole, but some people outside are spreading rumors that the home planet of the Xingyang Civilization, along with its star, was destroyed by the Light Walkers. Even a few newly joined civilizations have chosen to withdraw."
Chu Xingyang waved his hand; compared to rumors, he wanted to know the truth: "What's the movement on the Light Walkers' side? The Sun is gone, but there are still star systems like Southern Neighbor Two, Beicang, and Banma Shanglin that belong to the Xingyang Civilization."
Tomwence replied: "There's been no movement. We originally thought they would take advantage of the Solar System's departure to invade, and our 22 warships have been on high alert for a long time, but we haven't seen them take any action."
"Presumably, the complete disappearance of the entire Giant Mountain Clan plus two Light Walkers has made them afraid to act rashly," Gu Shuiqing added his guess from the side.
Chu Xingyang pondered for a moment; the arrogant Light Walkers shouldn't be that cautious, to the point of not even sending a single light orb to investigate.
They were likely preparing some major move.
He hesitated for a moment and said slowly: "We will return soon to wipe out the Light Walkers. While the position of a newly opened black hole is random, any entrance or exit that has been opened will be recorded. As long as there's enough energy, we can return at any time."
If they wanted to develop in the larger Milky Way Galaxy in the future, they had to eliminate future troubles; the Light Walkers in the Three-Spiral System had to be dealt with.
Gu Shuiqing looked excited: "Bishop, then you must come back quickly. I've been itching to have a fight with them for a long time."
Chu Xingyang thought to himself that the Solar System now had eight planets, so the energy required to traverse the wormhole would certainly be much more than last time.
Energy wasn't the issue, but the commotion caused would likely draw the attention of the Milky Way Galaxy.
However, the Xingyang Civilization was now a member of the Silver Core; ordinary civilizations would be too busy trying to curry favor to gossip about what he did.
Thinking of this, he immediately summoned Yu Lan: "Get ready, we are going back to the Three-Spiral System."
After receiving the order, Yu Lan ran out excitedly: "The Milky Way is great, but going home is also nice."
