107: Chapter 107 Galaxy Battery

News of the Light Walkers being completely wiped out in the Solar System without a single survivor, with 792 light ships lost and 8 captured, was spreading wildly among the advanced civilizations of the Three-Spiral System.

Behind the immense shock, some were happy while others were worried. The happy ones were the nearly three thousand interstellar civilizations that had firmly stood on the side of the Xingyang Civilization; they marveled that the power of the gods was indeed infinite.

However, the other nearly eighteen thousand civilizations that had entered the interstellar era were filled with gloom.

Among them were some who had originally joined, but had withdrawn after seeing the Light Walkers make their move.

Most of these civilizations had been certain that the Light Walkers would win the battle or at least be able to suppress them completely. They would never have dreamed that this top-tier, one-of-a-kind existence in the Three-Spiral System for nearly a hundred million years would be so vulnerable before the Solar System.

Their painstakingly prepared massive fleet had vanished into thin air like an egg striking a rock.

The decision-makers in these civilizations had to explain to their people: "We originally wanted to join Xingyang too, but the surrounding star systems were all standing on the side of the Light Walkers; we couldn't let ourselves be isolated."

Hearing such buck-passing words, the dissatisfied public cursed: "Screw you, a decision error is a decision error. Instead of giving us excuses now, you should hurry up and fix the damage."

Just like that, Tu Kulei suddenly became the most popular person in the Three-Spiral System.

Countless messages came flooding toward him.

"Respected Missionary Officer, our withdrawal from the Great Civilization of Gods some time ago was truly due to our ambassador being blinded by greed, and we have now brought them to justice."

"We implore the Xingyang Civilization to dispatch Symbiotic Armor Warriors to activate the mist-like stargate, as our new ambassador is eager to meet with the Missionary Officer."

As for those civilizations that had never joined, they had completely different rhetoric.

"We have long admired the gods and have prayed day and night to join the great Xingyang Civilization. It is just a pity that we were unable to do so earlier due to internal political reforms. Now, our new leadership is extremely eager to receive an audience with the Missionary Officer."

Looking at these messages pouring in, begging to convert, Tu Kulei, who had always made spreading the divine light his personal mission, felt not a hint of joy.

Instead, he looked indignant: "These fence-sitters who sway with the wind—just thinking about their changing faces makes me extremely unhappy."

Yu Lan smiled and consoled him: "There is nothing to be done about this. It can only be said that the deterrence of the Gamma-Ray Burst was not enough before; now that they see us crushing the Light Walkers, they are panicking. Most civilizations only submit to force!"

"But, to agree so easily to let these fickle civilizations convert, I feel like I am failing in my duties as a Missionary Officer."

Chu Xingyang, who had been lounging in his chair doing nothing, suddenly thought of a solution: "Then let's make these people hand something over."

Hearing this, Tu Kulei immediately perked up, bowed slightly, and said: "Lord Bishop, what do you suggest we ask them to hand over?"

"Energy, of course. The Xingyang Civilization needs endless energy!"

Soon, three months after the great battle with the Light Walkers, the Solar System organized a second gathering of ten thousand nations.

Each civilization sent two envoys who arrived via the stargate to the front of the largest sanctuary on the Central Continent of Blue Star.

All the envoys expressed their apologies to Tu Kulei through various channels.

"We are truly ashamed; the mist-like stargate cannot transport goods. The gifts we offer to the Civilization of Gods can only be transported by spacecraft, and are expected to arrive in the Solar System in about eighty years."

Most of the civilizations that came this time had prepared gifts. It was just that they were too far from the Solar System, and the time for the spacecraft to arrive varied from decades to hundreds of years.

Tu Kulei looked at the long list of gifts without giving these envoys a pleasant look.

He merely expressionlessly had his subordinate Priests lead the envoys to their respective positions.

This made the representatives of the various civilizations who had come feel even more anxious.

Soon, tens of thousands of people gathered on the huge square in front of the sanctuary.

A few people were whispering to each other.

"I noticed that those who came this time are either those who didn't join the Xingyang Civilization, or those who withdrew after joining."

"Exactly. Not a single representative from the 2988 civilizations belonging to the Xingyang Civilization is present. I suppose they just weren't invited."

"So what is this? Is this a reckoning for us? We are truly here to convert this time."

"There is no need to be so worried; the law does not punish the masses. No matter how powerful the Xingyang Civilization is, they can't possibly offend all of our ten thousand plus civilization representatives, right?"

Although the words sounded reasonable, these representatives were still filled with worry.

At this moment, Tu Kulei was holding the list compiled by his subordinates, a ruthless look in his eyes as he muttered to himself: "Only fifteen thousand civilizations have come; there are still about three thousand interstellar civilizations that did not come even after learning of our great victory."

"Then, after we wipe out the Light Walkers, we might as well wipe them out too."

After speaking, he walked straight to the high platform.

He raised his arm toward the dense crowd of various intelligent beings below.

Immediately, the square with tens of thousands of people fell silent!

Only then did he slowly speak: "First of all, I express my sincere gratification for your arrival."

"Secondly, I also thank the civilizations you represent for their sincere desire to convert to the gods."

"The light of the Xingyang God shines upon the universe, blessing both the past and the present. For the civilizations converting this time, our Xingyang Civilization will also show our appreciation."

The crowd below was moving, and someone whispered with joy: "Could there be some return gift? If so, then coming here this time was worth it; the previous batch of civilizations that rushed to join didn't get anything."

Tu Kulei held up a patch of white mist in his left hand and said loudly to everyone: "This is a dyson cloud. From now on, your stars will be shrouded in thin dyson clouds. However, sometimes these clouds will become quite thick and heavy; that will mean it is absorbing stellar energy to transmit to the Xingyang Civilization."

"At that time, your planets will not receive sufficient sunlight. But in exchange, when your civilization is attacked, the dyson cloud will issue a warning, and the Xingyang Civilization will help you escape the fate of extinction at the most critical moment."

A fierce light flashed in Tu Kulei's eyes: "For example, when you are attacked by a Gamma-Ray Burst."

Everyone below shuddered, cursing wildly in their hearts. They thought to themselves, who could have so many Gamma-Ray Bursts? Isn't it just you guys?

It means that if we send you stellar energy, we won't be destroyed by you, right?

But everyone understood this tacitly, suffering in silence. None of these fence-sitters dared to be the first to speak out at this moment.

Only a few envoys cautiously indicated that their stars had already been covered by dyson spheres.

Tu Kulei immediately raised his voice and replied: "That's simple! Just tear them down!"

A few days later, this gathering of ten thousand nations finally ended successfully. A one-sided success.

And these civilizations in the second batch all accepted the condition of having their stars shrouded in dyson clouds in exchange for converting to the Great Deity Xingyang.

Chu Xingyang was smug, thinking that now most of the Three-Spiral System were his own batteries.
