12: Chapter 12 Brothers
On the western side of the Central Continent, near the nest of a certain race.
Chu Xingyang floated in the air, looking down, and thought to himself, "Why is this short race composed entirely of males? Where have the females gone?"
At this moment, a dozen or so very short men were working together to pull a rope, dragging a two-meter-long animal into a cave.
The animal looked somewhat like a lizard, and also a bit like a crocodile. It was struggling wildly at the moment.
Unfortunately, even though it exhausted all its efforts, it was no match for the sheer number of its opponents. Soon, its figure disappeared into the cave entrance.
Meanwhile, a person about 1.5 meters tall, who looked like the chieftain, stood quietly by the side of the nest with a worried look on his face.
Half a day passed.
A man ran out from inside, walked respectfully to the chieftain, and said in a low voice, "Chieftain, the few of us have all tried with the lizard from just now. As for whether it can conceive and help us continue our race, that depends on fate."
Chu Xingyang, in mid-air, opened his mouth wide, feeling as if his jaw was about to drop in shock. At the same time, he felt a sense of nausea and disgust in his heart: "Are you guys seriously 'Three-Brothers'? Are you really one of the eighteen races I created?"
It really burns the eyes.
Unable to bear looking any longer, Chu Xingyang prepared to fly away and stop caring about the fate of this group.
But the consciousness of this planet spoke up at this moment: "Father, do you really intend to abandon them? They were also created by you."
"Are you sure? Could this group of humanoid creatures that look like humans be just animals that have mastered language and can engage in complex communication?"
"I am sure. They are one of the eighteen races you created, and they are also life you sowed. You cannot ignore them; after all, you said you would treat all races equally!" Old Three insisted on its opinion.
Chu Xingyang sighed and thought to himself, 'Why is this so unlucky? How did I manage to create this group of "Three-Brothers"?'
Thinking aside, he still flew down and stood beside the nest of this group of humans.
Just standing far from the cave entrance, he was almost made to retch by the foul, fishy stench wafting from within, and it was so choking that it was almost impossible to keep one's eyes open.
Chu Xingyang covered his nose with a look of disgust.
This race, living in a dark, sunless nest, compared to those races that had long ago developed beliefs such as worshipping the sun...
They had no faith, and of course, they would not commit blasphemy.
Because they simply did not care about gods.
In their ugly heads, there were only two things: filling their stomachs and reproduction.
Soon, the chieftain discovered Chu Xingyang.
With a shout, a dozen or so people first surged out of the nest. But this group, wearing only tattered cloth loincloths, was clearly very curious about the uninvited guest who had suddenly appeared before them and was wearing clothes.
Soon, amidst shouts, hundreds of men crawled out from inside.
"Look, this person is so tall!"
"And his whole body is wrapped tightly in fabric."
A few of them even drooled and, with lewd smiles, suggested to the chieftain: "Let's drag this person into the cave and try for a few days. This person also has four limbs, maybe he can conceive a child, and then our race will be saved."
The chieftain nodded.
Now, dozens of people who had long been unable to restrain themselves immediately rushed towards Chu Xingyang like madmen.
Chu Xingyang shook his head. This ignorant race... Divine Punishment!
In an instant, dozens of rocks of various sizes were hurled over. For a moment, dust and smoke filled the air, and there were dead and injured everywhere.
Some had their brains burst open on the spot and died instantly.
Others had their legs broken and were crawling on the ground in terror.
Splattering blood, miserable wails.
Everyone was scared out of their wits, and they all turned to try and flee back into the cave.
Chu Xingyang waved his hand gently, and the cave entrance was instantly blocked by a huge rock.
With the god of death in front and no retreat behind, the chieftain had no choice but to lead all his tribesmen to kneel, then prostrated himself on the ground, trembling as they awaited their fate.
After waiting for a long time, they still did not hear the killer god speak.
The chieftain had to raise his own question first: "Who are you? If you have any demands, just state them, and we will definitely find a way to satisfy you."
Chu Xingyang pointed to the sun in the sky.
The crowd of the tribe whispered to each other, a burst of clamor.
"Are you the sun in the sky? The Sun God?" The chieftain's body was trembling, and his lips were shaking violently from fear.
"Yes, I also have a name called Xingyang!"
The crowd, already scared out of their wits, began to shout in a chaotic manner.
"Xingyang God, spare us!"
"We deserve to die! We were ignorant and foolish! We actually offended the great deity just now!"
...
The uneven, messy sounds made Chu Xingyang a bit annoyed. He signaled everyone to shut up immediately, then grabbed a large rock to sit on and said slowly, "From now on, I shall call you the Goblin."
Seeing that everyone still had a dazed and foolish look on their faces.
He had no choice but to explain again: "That is the name of your race!"
Only then did the Goblin understand, and they all knelt and thanked him: "We kowtow and thank the Xingyang God for bestowing this name!"
This time the sound was in unison, and Chu Xingyang was very satisfied.
The chieftain crawled to his toes and pleaded with a grave expression: "Xingyang God, please grant us a way for our race to continue. Because there are no females, our race is on the verge of extinction."
All the Goblin began to wail, and for a time, cries of sorrow filled the entire forest.
Chu Xingyang looked at this group of people and noticed there were also children around ten years old, so he couldn't help but raise his own question: "That's not right. Where did the women among you go? There are children here, which means you originally had women."
"Yes, Xingyang God!" The chieftain wiped away his tears and began to recount: "Our tribe was once very large, with a scale of several thousand people. Although the birth rate of females has always been very low, with only one female infant in every ten births, our Goblin's females had strong fertility."
"But starting fifty years ago, there were no more female infants among the fetuses. Ten years ago, the last female of our Goblin passed away, and our numbers plummeted to the few hundred we are now."
"We beg the Xingyang God to grant us women!"
"We beg the Xingyang God to grant us women!"
Chu Xingyang shook his head, his questions in his heart only increasing. He asked the planet with his consciousness: "Old Three, what is going on? How could the females of a race suddenly disappear?"
Old Three replied: "Father, actually... this is man-made."
"Man-made! Who did it?"
"There is more than one race on the Central Continent besides the Goblin. Among them, there is one race that possesses techniques similar to curses or magic. It was they who did it."
Chu Xingyang clenched his fists, fire emerging in his eyes: "What kind of race is so vicious that they would deal such a genocidal blow to another race they have never even met!"
"It cannot be entirely blamed on them either." Old Three continued: "There is a prophet in that race who foresaw that the Goblin would bring disaster upon them, so they struck first to gain the advantage."
