5: Chapter 5 Creating Humanity

Chu Xingyang was on the third planet.

On the only habitable planet in this Solar System, where all the planets revolved around him.

He was diligently sowing seeds of life.

In reality, because of the System, it was hardly diligent work. However, the variety of life forms he was sowing this time was indeed a bit too much.

There was no helping it; Chu Xingyang had originally intended to show some restraint. But this planet was just too amazing! Unparalleled in its greatness!

Almost all the directories under the "Carbon-based Life" selection box were lit up.

It was simply a paradise for carbon-based life!

If the other three planets had also developed consciousness, they would have been crying their eyes out by now.

After all, even the outermost one, the fifth planet—that icy planet—was so jealous it seemed ready to stomp its feet: "Why does the third planet get to have so many types of life? I only have three, and they're all just little tadpoles that look the same."

The smug third planet naturally had to put on an appearance of humility: "It's nothing, Number Five. I just happened to be in Father's Habitable Zone, happened to have air and water, and just happened to be a paradise for nurturing life."

The fifth planet was so angry it cursed: "Number Three, can you be a planet? No, wait, can you act like a planet? How can you get away with being so smug after gaining such an advantage? You just wait. When Father can create silicon-based life on me, I'm going to come over and mess you up first thing!"

"Keep dreaming," the third planet replied, unperturbed: "We're all just planetary consciousnesses that can only communicate with Father. If you get silicon-based life, the silicon-based life on you will mess you up first!"

"Children, stop arguing." Chu Xingyang had encountered something strange while sowing life.

The two planets immediately shut up.

That's not right, he thought, a look of confusion on his face.

According to the directory provided by the System, he searched for a long time and finally found the "Human" option. However, in the subdirectories that followed, he couldn't find the directory for his own kind, "Homo sapiens."

Could it be that his Solar System couldn't create Homo sapiens?

Chu Xingyang was completely baffled. According to the knowledge he had learned, there were more than a dozen types of humans in the early days of Earth.

These included Homo habilis, Artisans, Neanderthals, and his own kind, Homo sapiens, among others.

But under the "Human" option in the System, he couldn't find the Homo sapiens option, nor could he even find the options for the other types of humans from his memories.

He had to spend time studying it all over again.

Half a day later, he finally realized that the problem lay in how the System named the various organisms. Although the broad classifications accommodated his understanding as an Earthling by providing the taxonomic ranks of kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species,

the naming conventions were completely different. To use an analogy, it was like asking a foreigner who had just learned everyday language to read ancient texts like "Li Sao."

This was also the reason why, when he created life on the fifth planet last time, he had directly named the new species "Ice Tadpoles." Because the names provided by the System were long, awkward, and completely nonsensical.

Therefore, he had reason to believe that Homo sapiens was included among that series of incomprehensible names.

Chu Xingyang created all eighteen types of humans under the "Homo" genus!

"God does not play dice." This was a sentence that suddenly popped into his mind while he was creating all the human species. But he immediately shook his head and thought to himself, "Am I a god? And if I were a god, what kind of god would I become?"
