48: Chapter 48 Xingyang Civilization Missionaries

After two bustling days, the Liz People took one last look at the ecological spaceship where they had lived for dozens of generations, which was now completely empty.

Then, they boarded the "divine might" starship without looking back.

Missionary Tuku Lie of the starship led the six-member Liz decision-making group on a tour of the entire "divine might".

All six people wore expressions of shock; the elder Lu Sili couldn't help but exclaim: "So you are a Civilization of gods, a fantasy Civilization where steam-powered humanoid mechs and faster-than-light spaceships coexist."

Afterward, the group was taken to the fifth deck, where a vast hall was already crowded with Liz People.

Many Blue Star people nearby were handing out thick books to them, one for each person.

Missionary Tuku Lie took the xingyang divine canon he carried with him from his bosom with a solemn expression, then said loudly: "Our Xingyang Civilization only welcomes loyal believers. Please read the divine canon thoroughly in the shortest possible time, and forever follow and devoutly believe in the Great Deity Xingyang!"

"Xingyang God is the only light and truth in the universe!"

Among the Liz People, a naive and romantic Little Girl stared with big, curious eyes: "Must we believe? If we don't believe, will the gods kill us?"

Her parents beside her immediately stopped her with their eyes, looking anxious as if they wished they could cover her mouth on the spot.

Missionary Tuku Lie showed a kind smile: "Truly, children speak without taboos. The gods do not concern themselves with such mundane matters. However, we Blue Star humans will."

He turned his head to look at the deep, dark space outside the porthole: "If anyone is unwilling to bathe in the warm divine light, then we will have no choice but to throw them outside the spaceship to experience the cold."

All the Liz People immediately fell silent, not daring to breathe.

The Little Girl stuck out her tongue and began to flip through the xingyang divine canon in her hands.

Because they were nearly exterminated by awakened AI, even the electronic storage equipment on the fleeing ecological spaceship was the most basic; she had long since finished reading the hundred or so books inside.

Now that there was new reading material, the Little Girl was naturally very enthusiastic.

Missionary Tuku Lie nodded with great satisfaction: "There are many miracles in the divine canon. Please take your time to experience them. I will take my leave now."

Seeing the Blue Star person leave, the girl's mother immediately pinched her face: "Laya, why do you talk so much? Would it kill you to say less?"

Lu Sili hurriedly squeezed into the crowd to comfort them: "Don't hurt the child. They won't do anything because of a child's unintentional words."

"Besides, Xingyang Civilization has 18 races, plus the recently converted Absolute Core C6 mechanical lifeform. The gods must be extremely tolerant! They definitely won't hold a grudge against a child."

Seeing the leader backing her up, the mischievous Little Girl Laya immediately broke free from her mother's hand and continued to focus on the book in her hands.

When she flipped to the page about the Saintess, she even showed eyes full of longing: "This white robe is so beautiful, I want to wear it too. My clothes are all tattered."

At this time, the captain of the First Field Team, Le Gang, walked into the hall. After scanning the area, he walked up to the elder: "A total of 1023 people. Except for 12 in the medical bay, the rest are all here."

Upon hearing this, Lu Sili's eyes streamed with tears, and he kept wiping them away, choking up: "That's the number. These are our last survivors."

But he still tried to maintain his composure and expressed his gratitude again: "The ecological spaceship is broken. If you hadn't come to pick us up, our thousand-plus people would have gradually perished within fifty years."

Le Gang smiled: "The Great Deity Xingyang will protect all believers. You are safe."

But his words did not completely eliminate the Liz People's anxiety about their uncertain future.

After all, gods only existed in the ancient books of the Liz, and they did not believe that gods truly existed.

Besides, what was the purpose of Xingyang God saving them?

After Le Gang left, Lu Sili faced his compatriots: "The most difficult time for the Liz People has passed. We will be granted an audience with the gods after arriving at Blue Star. I have read the divine canon; Xingyang God is a deity who empathizes with all living beings, so everyone need not worry."

Afterward, he arranged for everyone, in accordance with the requirements of the "divine might", to first have the children go to the medical bay one by one for physical examinations. After all, in the closed environment of the ecological spaceship with its shortage of supplies, their bodies had more or less developed some conditions.

Wei Wei in the medical bay had been extremely busy these past few days.

Fortunately, there were two Liz People corpses in the ecological spaceship that hadn't been disposed of in time. Using medical instruments for dissection and the guidance of a Liz doctor, she finally figured out their body structure.

She even discovered something that was both surprising and reasonable: that there was reproductive isolation between the Liz People and the Blue Star people.

Although the eighteen races on Blue Star could all interbreed, intelligent beings separated by vast galaxies indeed could not intermingle.

Even though the Liz People also had limbs, other than their lizard-like faces, the rest of them were similar to most races on Blue Star.

Wei Wei was marveling to herself at the wonders of the universe.

The Little Girl Laya walked over holding the book, looking well-behaved as she said: "Auntie, I don't need a physical exam. My body is perfectly fine."

"That won't do; everyone must be checked. I will check you together with your doctor."

"Alright then." The Little Girl said while opening the book: "Auntie, look, this white robe is so beautiful, I want to wear it too."

After taking a look, Wei Wei showed a heartfelt smile: "This is a Saintess robe; only those who have become a Saintess can wear it. Many years ago, I was a Saintess of the Central Continent."

"Ah, then I want to be a Saintess too." Laya's eyes were full of excitement and anticipation.

When she finished her physical exam and went back, she had an extra book called "Saintess Precepts" in her hand, and she was draped in a wide white robe.

These were things Wei Wei carried with her. She had always maintained the habit of praying every morning.

She had only paused it in the few days since leaving the Solar System.

Laya, having returned to the crowd, spun around proudly in front of her parents: "Mom and Dad, this outfit looks good, right? The medical officer auntie said that as long as I devoutly believe in the gods, I will have a chance to be chosen as a Saintess when I turn fourteen!"

Her parents looked at each other, not knowing what to say.

After a long while, her mother finally said: "This outfit is indeed beautiful, it's just too big. I'll alter it to fit you better right now."

The half-month mission finally ended, and the "divine might", trailing a long exhaust plume, returned to Blue Star once again.

Chu Xingyang was stunned as he looked at Yu Lan's report.

What? The Liz encountered the Wandering Earth? Which period of the Wandering Earth was it?

And they even saw an Earth Human who looked somewhat similar to me?

Chu Xingyang looked at the lizard faces of the Liz People, which all looked much the same, and thought: in their eyes, don't all Earth Humans look about the same?

But the fact that they had seen the Wandering Earth still made him very concerned.

It stood to reason that he had been reborn for over ten billion years, and the Wandering Earth should have long since stopped wandering.

However, the laws of space and time in the universe are profound and mysterious.

Chu Xingyang put down the report in his hand and waited for the audience with the Liz People.
