13: Chapter 13 The Sorcerer

Hearing Old Three's words, Chu Xingyang slightly furrowed his brows and gasped, "Are you telling me that among the eighteen races, there are people similar to mages or cultivators? Otherwise, what method could they be using to make the females of the Goblin gradually disappear?"

"Yes, Father. There is a spring in the center of the Central Continent. This spring, combined with the magnetic field I carry, grants the race living nearby some ability to manipulate elements."

Old Three paused for a moment before continuing, "The reason these Goblin are becoming shorter with each generation, with pointed ears and long noses, is also related to that race..."

Chu Xingyang signaled for Old Three to stop, because at that moment, a group of strangers had arrived outside the nest of the Goblin.

There were eight people in the group, all draped in robes made of coarse burlap. Apart from their slightly elongated ears, they were extremely similar to Homo sapiens in all other aspects.

Walking at the very front was an old woman holding a wooden scepter, and at this moment, she was staring at all the Goblin in front of the nest with ill intent.

The Goblin chieftain respectfully asked, "Respected Xingyang God, are these people your followers?"

"No, this is my first time seeing them as well."

At this moment, the old woman let out a hoarse voice, "You filthy race, today is your doomsday! To let you die with peace of mind, I will mercifully introduce myself. I am the greatest priestess of the entire human race... no, the entire universe, and my name is..."

Chu Xingyang widened his eyes and interrupted her with a disdainful look, "The entire universe? And the greatest? Have you gone senile?"

Even he, who was honored as the Sun, didn't dare to claim how great he was; this crazy old woman must have dementia.

Beside the crazy old woman, a young woman carrying a bow and arrows gritted her teeth in anger, "You rude scoundrel, how dare you be so presumptuous! To show such disrespect to our High Priestess Spirit Abyss. I will destroy you right now."

As soon as she finished speaking, she gripped the bow with her left hand and pulled the string with her right.

With a "swish," a feathered arrow flew straight toward Chu Xingyang's face.

Chu Xingyang frowned, his expression changing slightly.

The arrow suddenly changed direction in mid-air, turning back to pierce the person who had fired it.

"Pfft!" The sound of a sharp object piercing a body. The young woman fell to the ground, almost fainting from the pain.

Her companions were all horrified, their eyes wide with astonishment. After all, such a divine technique capable of making a flying arrow turn around with such precision had never even been performed by High Priestess Spirit Abyss, who possessed the highest divine power in their entire tribe.

A girl in white robes, about fifteen or sixteen years old, immediately stepped out from the group. She crouched down and said to the young female archer, "Sister You, don't move; I will heal you now."

After speaking, she reached toward You's wound, and a faint white light emitted from her palm. The arrow embedded in the flesh also began to move outward bit by bit amidst the waves of white light.

The archer was sweating profusely from the pain, but before passing out completely, she gritted her teeth and squeezed out a sentence, "Thank you, Wei."

Chu Xingyang stared at this group of people, and things gradually became clear in his mind. So, the leading old woman was called Spirit Abyss, the archer who had fainted was called You, and the girl with healing abilities was named Wei.

Among the eight people, five were female, and apart from the old woman, they were all quite beautiful.

For the Goblin, who hadn't seen a female human in over a decade, this was a visual bombshell that made their blood boil to the point of being lethal.

At that moment, almost all the Goblin had red eyes and were drooling, staring with extreme greed at the four young females opposite them. Their lower bodies, wrapped in rags, had also bulged to a certain height.

Their hands were waving forward unconsciously, wishing they could immediately drag these female humans to their side.

Spirit Abyss looked at the restless Goblin, and the look of disgust and loathing on her face intensified, "Truly a filthy race; your appearance is nauseating."

After speaking, she looked at Chu Xingyang again, "You injured my tribesman; are you trying to stand up for this bunch of animals? I see you have good aptitude. I Hope you can uphold justice and help me destroy them. I can consider taking you as my disciple."

Chu Xingyang thought his ears were failing him, but he still retorted seriously, "Would I have hit her if she hadn't struck first? Besides, how are you righteous? As far as I know, the Goblin don't even know of your existence, yet the disappearance of their females and their stunted growth are all things you've been doing behind the scenes, right?"

The hundreds of Goblin who heard this were first stunned. Once they fully understood, their eyes, which had previously been filled with greed and desire, now held an extra measure of hatred.

Spirit Abyss, however, looked unconcerned, and there was even a hint of pride in the wrinkles at the corners of her mouth, "That was the glorious achievement of my master, the previous High Priestess. It was the wise and mighty she who calculated that your disgusting race would bring disaster to our tribe, so I took the initiative and, in the water you drink..."

"Enough!" Chu Xingyang interrupted her, then looked at her sternly, "Just because of some groundless calculation or prophecy by someone among you, you are going to exterminate an entire race?"

Several Goblin nearby were already rushing toward the old woman, clutching clubs. They wanted to beat to death on the spot the culprit who had brought their tribe to the brink of extinction.

Spirit Abyss showed a contemptuous sneer, "We are the noble Heavenly God People; I alone can wipe out you few hundred survivors."

After speaking, she raised her scepter high. Instantly, a fireball exploded in the middle of the Goblin, and huge flames engulfed them.

The Goblin whose bodies were on fire rolled on the ground, wailing incessantly.

Chu Xingyang moved his fingers slightly, and the flames on their bodies vanished instantly, leaving only charred wounds.

He looked at the astonished old woman and mocked, "You are bullshit Heavenly God People. I think you only know a few magic tricks to fool children. From today on, you shall be called Shu People, do you understand?"

"We are the Heavenly God People, not some Shu People!" Spirit Abyss was furious and embarrassed. She waved her hand to command the others, "Attack with me!"

After speaking, except for the unconscious You and Wei, who was treating You, everyone else lunged forward.

Chu Xingyang shook his head, "Obsessed and unrepentant!"

He moved his fingers, and dozens of stones rained down on the six people. When the dust settled, apart from three who were injured, the other three, including Spirit Abyss, had died on the spot.

The survivors, seeing Spirit Abyss flattened by the stones, felt both grief and fear in their eyes. They now realized that the High Priestess they had always revered was as fragile as an ant in front of a true expert.

One of them looked at Chu Xingyang in terror and asked with a trembling voice, "Who are you? Where do you come from?"

Chu Xingyang pointed to the sky, "My name is Xingyang, and I shine light upon all things!"

Wei, who was at the very back, looked at the sun in the sky with an incredulous gaze, then ran over and threw herself at the man's feet, kowtowing desperately, "Xingyang God, spare us! Xingyang God, forgive us! We Shu People did not know that you were the sun!"
