15: Chapter 15 The Fishman's Lower Body

Chu Xingyang soared over the boundless sea. To enjoy the exhilarating sensation of the fierce wind against his face, he did not use his Consciousness Projection but his physical body.

Recalling how he was revered as a deity whenever he manifested before any of the human races, the feeling was truly novel and thrilling.

Wait, something seemed missing from the last conflict between the Shu People and the Goblin.

After pondering for a long while, he used his consciousness to ask the planet: "Third, the Dongshan people are nearly driven to the brink by dinosaurs, but I didn't hear the Goblin mention anything about dinosaurs last time."

Third, as the planetary consciousness, constantly observed the conditions of all human races on its surface, so it naturally knew the answer.

"The Central Continent had far fewer dinosaurs from the start compared to other continents. Moreover, with the Shu People who could manipulate elements in the heart of the continent, they have been suppressing the dinosaur population. Through their struggles with the dinosaurs, they've grown stronger and no longer see them as a threat."

Chu Xingyang nodded.

It seemed his approach of not rushing to impart advanced technology was correct. Allowing these human races to temper themselves in harsh environments would make them grow faster and more resilient.

Only then would they possess the mental fortitude to face the various challenges that might come.

Chu Xingyang mentally assessed. The development levels of these human races varied, but by now, the vast majority had entered the Bronze Age, with some even having learned to smelt iron.

I wonder if they will enter the steam age faster than the 'Homo sapiens' I'm familiar with? Or will they develop a completely different technology tree from 'Homo sapiens'?

Perhaps the human races I created could develop civilizations that would truly amaze me!

He was happily daydreaming.

But at that moment, Third spoke: "Father, the Mermaids are being besieged by dinosaurs and are on the verge of annihilation. I beg you to go save them."

Chu Xingyang focused his mind. After all, the dinosaurs were created alongside humans due to his own mistake. By reason and by sentiment, he should go save the Mermaids.

He sped swiftly towards the northernmost tip of the Southern Continent.

A strange thought popped into his mind along the way, and he said to the planet: "Third, I'll give you another name. From now on, you shall be called Blue Star."

Third was ecstatic: "Thank you, Father, for bestowing upon me a name! I'm finally different from other planets. I not only have a ranking but also a name! I am Blue Star! Though Fifth will surely be very jealous when it finds out."

"That can't be helped. You are the only planet in my Habitable Zone suitable for Carbon-based Life to survive. Naturally, you deserve a proper name. As for Fifth, it will get a name in the future too."

As he spoke, he had already arrived at the Mermaids' settlement.

Looking down, in the shallow coastal waters near the beach, their tribe was being ravaged by several massive Hainosaurus.

The Hainosaurus were marine carnivorous dinosaurs nearly fifteen meters long. The Mermaids, armed with spears and nets, were no match for them.

They could only watch helplessly as their kin were torn apart and devoured.

The seawater in the nearby area had long been stained a deep crimson with the blood of the Mermaids. In the murky red water, severed limbs, broken arms, and upper bodies of the Mermaids were scattered everywhere.

The scene was like hell.

Even more terrifying was that these Hainosaurus seemed to have a particular fondness for the Mermaids' lower bodies.

Initially, they would eat the torso and leave the two arms, but once they realized the 'food' was plentiful, they started eating only the lower bodies.

Leaving behind the upper halves that wouldn't die immediately, even struggling for a long time. This caused the halved Mermaids and their relatives and friends to suffer excruciating agony together.

What's going on? This doesn't seem like picky eating! Chu Xingyang frowned and immediately switched to his Consciousness Projection, diving into the sea.

Then, with a slight exertion of force, he used gravity to pull on dozens of swordfish waiting in the distance to scavenge the 'leftovers'.

In an instant, those swordfish shot forward like arrows from a bow, piercing through the seawater and embedding themselves straight into the heads of the Hainosaurus.

Each Hainosaurus looked as if it had gotten a punk hairstyle, with over a dozen swordfish sticking out of its head. After a violent convulsion, their massive bodies fell still and then floated motionlessly to the surface.

Chu Xingyang scanned the area and, finding no stragglers,

flew ashore, walked onto a small plaza by the beach, and switched back to his physical form.

It seemed these Mermaids preferred living in the water. Most of the villages and towns they built were underwater. This plaza was one of the few places they had on land.

Soon, two breathtakingly beautiful female Mermaids, leading a large group of their kin, emerged from the water.

One of them, the elder, appeared to be in her early thirties. Her lower body floated just beneath the water's surface.

She was currently struggling to climb onto land while kowtowing devoutly: "We thank the deity for saving our lives. You have saved our Mermaid race. We will be eternally grateful for generations. May we know your honorable name and your origin?"

Chu Xingyang naturally wouldn't mention that the dinosaurs were his mistake. He simply nodded faintly: "I am the Sun. You may call me Xingyang."

All the Mermaids prostrated themselves on the water's surface, shouting in unison: "Xingyang God! You are the one and only god of our Mermaid race, our eternal god!"

That stunning Mermaid in her thirties was still struggling arduously to climb onto land, desperately stretching her body forward, wanting to kneel personally at the feet of Xingyang God.

Seeing her struggle too much, Chu Xingyang bent down and picked her up.

Ah!!!

Now he finally understood why the Hainosaurus liked eating the Mermaids' lower bodies.

The sea had been a murky red earlier, so he couldn't see clearly.

Only now did he realize these Mermaids had long since evolved into mermaids! Their lower bodies were plump, rounded fishtails!

Which meant what he was holding in his arms right now was a genuine, bona fide mermaid!

Chu Xingyang could even feel his own excited heartbeat, thinking to himself how fast this evolution was. Clearly, their first-generation ancestors still had two legs.

As this was his first time holding a mermaid, he couldn't help but curiously stroke her fishtail.

The texture felt less like a fish and more like soft, elastic satin. The sensation under his touch was incredibly pleasant.

Perhaps because he touched near her hip, the mermaid blushed with shyness and introduced herself: "I am the queen of the Mermaid race, Ai. This is my daughter, Princess Aisha."

Following her gaze, Chu Xingyang looked at the young mermaid who had emerged from the water with Ai earlier.

She appeared to be fifteen or sixteen, breathtakingly beautiful. Her lush, elegant long hair was slightly wavy. Over her fair, delicate body, she wore a light pink gown.

These mermaids truly had exceptionally high beauty! Their figures were also superb. Although they lacked legs, their slender fishtails made their bodies appear quite tall and aesthetically pleasing."
