106: Chapter 106 The Expedition of the Lightwalkers

After the great battle, apart from those eight remaining empty light-energy warships, there were no other traces of any Light Walkers ever having been there.

The other 792 ships, including those light orbs, had all been converted into energy and stored within the Wormhole Generator.

Chu Xingyang, once again embodying the Bishop, said to everyone: "To pay them back in their own coin, we shall use these eight light-energy warships to launch an expedition to the Light Walkers' headquarters!"

The crew was stunned at first, but then laughed: "The Bishop is right. With the blessing of the Great Deity Xingyang, even if we were paddling bamboo rafts, we could still enter the center of the Three-Spiral System and wipe them out."

Tu Kulei walked over with a serious expression: "The vast grace of the divine makes us believers feel like we are basking in a spring breeze, but if we indulge in comfort and stop striving for progress, that would be our sin."

Upon hearing this, everyone quickly dispersed to attend to their own tasks.

Yu Lan felt that sometimes "Half-Face" really could think just like her.

She examined the newly captured light-energy warships with excitement.

The nearly 300-meter-tall divine might looked like a child in front of these kilometer-high warships.

However, after taking the crew of the divine might inside to inspect them, her expression became increasingly grave.

"What is this? Why is there nothing inside? Apart from the instruments, there are only compartments that vary in size. Either they are too small to fit a person, or they are inexplicably large."

"There isn't even a chair. Don't those little glowing orbs get tired from floating around all the time?"

Listening to the vice captain's endless complaints.

Xiliu was full of interest: "This reminds me of the early spaceships of the Absolute Core. Although they weren't this big, the style inside is really similar."

Yu Lan rolled her eyes at him and pouted: "That's because back then, you were probably just artificial intelligence without physical bodies, so naturally, you didn't need anything, just like these energy beings."

Wei Wei looked worried: "Then the refitting before the expedition will be quite time-consuming. Infirmaries, hibernation pods, dining halls, and bedrooms are all essential."

Luo Ningning suddenly leaned over and reminded: "And bathrooms! Now that I think about it, my husband and I should each have our own. The bathroom he uses is truly too unbearable to look at."

Baliwei lowered his head in embarrassment, drawing a burst of laughter from those around him.

Chu Xingyang walked over slowly and said: "There is enough time. You all go ahead and refit the interiors of the light-ships."

"The Light Walkers' headquarters is too far from the Solar System. Even though the light-ships' gravitational wave engines are much faster than the Warp Engine we currently use, we still need to use Gaimu Star as a springboard and utilize the base there."

"We must first use the Wormhole Generator to transport the warships to Gaimu Star."

Upon hearing this, the Science Officer of the divine might immediately whispered a reminder: "But Bishop, except for places where wormholes have been opened and recorded, any new entrance or exit is completely random."

"Hmm." Chu Xingyang nodded indifferently, then turned his gaze toward the two "delivery experts," You Rongguang and Luo Ningning.

Luo Ningning immediately understood and laughed: "I know what the Bishop means. It's to have us dismantle the Wormhole Generator and then use the mist-like stargate to bring it to Gaimu Star for assembly."

"Finally, we open a wormhole on Gaimu Star that is locked onto the Solar System, and the warships will be able to reach Gaimu Star through the two-way channel."

At least this woman's head wasn't empty.

Chu Xingyang left, satisfied, while thinking that the two major long-distance transport tools currently mastered by the Xingyang Civilization both had their own shortcomings.

The mist-like stargate opened by the Symbiotic Armor could only allow individuals to pass through. Apart from Luo Ningning, only You Rongguang's space bag could trick the stargate.

Others could not carry any equipment or instruments.

As for the wormholes generated by the Wormhole Generator, as long as there was enough energy, they could be made large enough for a stellar system to pass through.

But, except for places where wormholes had been opened and addresses stored, any other new wormhole was random.

Even for a distance of a few dozen light-years, if it hadn't been opened before, it couldn't be directly targeted.

Hopefully, by taking over the center of the Three-Spiral System this time, new technology could be discovered.

Under the Bishop's orders, everyone began to work busily and intensively.

A large number of combat personnel passed through the mist-like stargate to arrive once again at Gaimu Star, which had long since converted to the Xingyang Civilization.

The new Consuls, Solia, warmly hosted them while asking incessantly: "Why didn't Teacher Yang come? When is he coming over?"

The Blue Star warriors were bewildered: "Teacher Yang? Which Teacher Yang?"

"It's your Bishop! He used to be my private tutor."

The warriors widened their eyes, thinking to themselves how the Bishop could have possibly traveled 18,000 light-years away to be a tutor for a Little Girl in the past.

But, finding it inconvenient to ask further, they could only brush it off: "Soon, perhaps. After everything is ready here, he should be coming over."

Solia watched the Blue Star people filing out of the mist-like stargate, unable to help but gently stroke the hair by her ear.

Then, she quietly hid the gift she had prepared for her teacher behind her back.

A group of combat personnel nearby were chatting idly.

Baliwei looked distressed: "My wife has been so tired from carrying goods these past few days. She's been running back and forth non-stop and hasn't even been able to eat a few bites."

Le Gang teased: "Don't worry, the resilience of her body is beyond your imagination; it won't be too hard for her."

As he was speaking, Luo Ningning, wearing a skirt, jumped out of the stargate and landed on the ground.

Then she started jumping up and down vigorously.

Just as everyone was wondering what crazy thing she was doing.

"Clang!" A sound rang out.

A screw with a diameter of twenty centimeters from the Wormhole Generator fell from her skirt and smashed heavily onto the ground.

But Luo Ningning kept jumping. Suddenly seeing her husband, she quickly raised her arm to wave: "My big baby, I can't chat with you now. I have to go carry more things."

As she was speaking, another sound rang out, and the matching nut also fell down.

After unloading, she immediately entered another stargate opened specifically for her.

The worker responsible for assembly frowned, put on gloves, and picked up the wet screw and nut.

Le Gang spread his hands: "See what I said? Your wife has great resilience, so you don't need to worry."

Baliwei nodded: "Yes, seeing her jumping around with such high spirits, I'm relieved."

He completely failed to understand what the others meant.

The worker nearby was still grumbling: "Damn it, why is it so slippery? I've been trying to pick it up for ages and haven't managed to. Also, it feels like the diameter of this screw has been worn down."

"If you ask me, Luo Ningning should be the one carrying the large components, and You Rongguang should carry these small parts."

A colleague nearby looked puzzled: "What are you joking about? No matter how much those components are dismantled, they are still as big as a room. They can only fit into You Rongguang's space bag. How could that woman fit them inside?"

"Don't worry, others might not be able to fit them, but Luo Ningning definitely can!"
