132: Recognize reality

The two bosses thought some big shots had arrived and shielded their eyes from the headlights, only to see that it was just Qin Yun and Julia.

They burst out laughing insolently.

"I wondered who it was. Isn't this Qin Yun, the one talking big at the stadium?"

"We've already transported the containers out of the stadium and are about to load them onto a cargo ship. I don't see what you can do about it."

"So what if you're unwilling and talking big? If you dare say another word, believe it or not, I'll have my employees throw you into the sea."

The two of them had never respected Qin Yun.

If local Tycoons were present, they might have shown some restraint, but since only Qin Yun and Julia were at the port, they simply revealed their true colors.

"Are you angry now?"

"So what if you're angry? You can't do anything to us. We relied on your guess that there were good things in the containers, but now we're not selling to you; we're making the big money ourselves."

"I just love seeing you looking so helpless."

The fat boss, thinking he had won, began to dance excitedly, twisting his bloated body.

Qin Yun looked away, afraid of tainting his eyes.

"You're celebrating far too early. I'm afraid your little hearts will burst when you can't handle the final outcome."

Julia sneered and stepped forward to mock them in return.

"The two of you actually think you can stop us from leaving? I think you're the ones who haven't recognized reality."

"A weak woman and a Xia Country Monkey who doesn't even know his own name—never mind that we're leaving through legitimate means, even if we did something illegal, you couldn't do a thing about it."

"Eastern Kid, don't think you're someone just because people gave you a nickname. You're just a rookie among Treasure Hunters. Even veteran Treasure Hunters wouldn't dare fart in front of our Storage Company!"

"You need to know who puts food on your table. We are an existence you cannot afford to provoke."

"Believe it or not, we'll knock you back to where you came from and kick you straight back to that bullshit place called Xia Country."

The two were in perfect sync, alternating lines seamlessly; their insults flowed more smoothly than a crosstalk performance.

This belittling of Qin Yun didn't last long, as it was interrupted by the successive roars of approaching car engines.

Luxury cars arrived at the port one after another, and imposing big shots stepped out, exuding an air of natural authority.

"You have some nerve, daring to ignore my warning and leave privately. Do you have a death wish?"

"Who gave you permission to leave? Without Mr. Qin's permission, I'd like to see who dares take a single step out of Borton City."

"If you leave the containers behind, I might spare your miserable lives. Otherwise, you're going straight into the sea to feed the fish."

"Qin Yun, just say the word, and I'll make these two regret it."

...The big shots hadn't moved against these two rule-breakers only out of respect for Qin Yun.

They dared to ignore Qin Yun's warning and sneak away; it was as if they thought Borton City was empty of people who mattered.

The two bosses were completely stunned.

What on earth was going on?

They thought the Tycoons were just making polite conversation at the auction.

They never expected that so late at night, instead of sleeping at home with their wives, these men would come to the port to back Qin Yun up.

Wasn't Qin Yun just a Treasure Hunter? How could he have such immense influence?

"Could you have made a mistake? We haven't done anything wrong; we're just transporting our own containers back."

"Right, right, right. We didn't sign a contract with the organizers. This matter is only between us and Qin Yun; it has nothing to do with you, right?"

The two spoke weakly in an innocent tone, looking somewhat confused.

"Nothing to do with us? You've not only insulted Borton City's rare large-scale Warehouse Auction, but you've also dared to oppose Mr. Qin. I see you still haven't recognized the essence of the situation."

"If it were just about the Warehouse Auction, we would have just beaten you up and thrown you out. But provoking Mr. Qin is a different story."

"Mr. Qin is the true initiator of this Warehouse Auction and a good friend of ours. You offended Mr. Qin and still think you can leave Borton City? Do you think we don't exist?"

"I suggest you do exactly as Mr. Qin says. Qin Yun might be merciful, but I certainly won't be."

"I am from the House-Bart Family of Borton City. If you have the guts to leave, I will hunt you to the ends of the earth."

...Hearing the Tycoons' murderous words, the two were instantly dumbfounded.

How could these big shots have such a good relationship with Qin Yun? They even seemed to be trying to curry favor with him.

Weren't Treasure Hunters at the bottom of the social ladder? Why was it different with Qin Yun?

Seeing the angry glares of the big shots and thinking about the consequences of offending them.

Not only would they be unable to survive in the Storage Company, but they would also have no place left in America.

Cold sweat broke out on their backs, their scalps tingled, their hearts turned cold, and their bodies felt weak.

With a "thud," they unconsciously fell to their knees.

"We're sorry, we didn't know you had such a good relationship with Qin Yun. If we had known, we never would have dared to do this."

"We're just minor company employees. How could we dare offend you big shots? Even if we had the courage of a lion, we wouldn't dare defy your views."

"Please give us another chance. We'll never do anything so rule-breaking again. How about this: we'll give these three containers to you?"

"These three will be compensation for our mistake. As long as you don't hold us accountable, anything can be discussed."

The two kowtowed on the ground as they spoke.

Tears and snot flowed uncontrollably; they looked incredibly pathetic.

The two were scared to death at this moment. If these big shots really threw them into the sea...

At this remote, deserted port in the dead of night, no one would ever trouble the big shots.

Anyone who heard about it would only blame the two for their stupidity—after all, they were the ones who recklessly provoked so many big shots.

They'd be lucky if their bodies were even recovered intact.

The big shots waved their hands, unwilling to waste more words on these low-life scumbags.

"Apologizing to me is useless. This matter only ends once you obtain Mr. Qin's forgiveness."

"We're just here to support Qin Yun. If it were up to me, your ashes wouldn't even be retrievable by now."

"You've done wrong but don't know to seek forgiveness from the victim. I see you still haven't recognized your mistake."

Hearing the big shots' reprimand, the two didn't dare show a hint of dissatisfaction, nodding repeatedly in agreement.

After the big shots finished speaking, the two crawled directly in front of Qin Yun.

"We were wrong. Our blind eyes failed to recognize a great man. We'll never do it again."

"Please be magnanimous and forgive us this once. We don't want these three warehouses anymore; consider them our apology."

The two kowtowed over a dozen times to Qin Yun, then looked at him pitifully.

Waiting for Qin Yun's judgment.

Their hearts were pounding so hard they felt like they would leap out of their throats.

They worried Qin Yun would say something extreme and leave them at the port.

If they had known Qin Yun had such power, they wouldn't have dared provoke him even if they had ten times the courage.

To provoke a big figure like Qin Yun over a warehouse—even if it were worth a billion, they wouldn't live to spend it.

Qin Yun didn't get carried away by the big shots' words or the pathetic state of the two bosses.

He shook his head and said calmly, "I don't want your lives. By noon tomorrow, I want to see all your containers in the plaza outside the stadium."

"This is the last chance I'm giving you. If you don't cherish it, you might as well just die."

As Qin Yun finished, his voice was filled with a chilling, murderous intent.
