150: Royal Treasures

When Qin Yun returned to the auction site, he found that today's trading was already nearing its end.

Aside from Haishizi making two moves, few others had participated.

On their first day here, they were gathering intelligence and estimating the value of the auction items, ideally contacting the original owners before making an offer.

Accompanied by the harsh blare of a horn, the outsiders lined up to exit in sequence.

Qin Yun and Julia, followed by two bodyguards, took their place toward the back of the line.

As for the bullet in his hand, Qin Yun threw it directly into the urinal.

Back at the villa, Haishizi had already set out a lavish dinner, with six young local beauties standing nearby.

Seeing Qin Yun return, Haishizi greeted him with great enthusiasm.

"You are truly my great benefactor. The documents you found are extremely useful to me, and I never mistreat those who help me."

"This is a hundred-thousand-dollar feast, the best cuisine available here. I've also found six of the tallest maids for you; just let them know if you need anything."

Haishizi winked at Qin Yun and said with a smile.

Julia tightened her grip on Qin Yun's arm significantly.

Qin Yun felt only a soft massage and wasn't in much discomfort, yet he still feigned a look of pain.

"Ouch, that hurts!"

Julia was a bit confused by Qin Yun's exaggerated performance, but under the gaze of everyone else, she lowered her head and loosened her grip on his arm.

"Thank you for the hospitality. As you can see, my girlfriend is here, so I won't be needing the maids. However, I won't decline this delicious meal."

Even if Julia hadn't been there, Qin Yun would not have accepted women of unknown origin.

The beauties here were either innocent women abducted through force or people trained by the military; he wanted nothing to do with either kind.

If Haishizi had arranged for them to monitor the two of them, it would make everything inconvenient.

Haishizi laughed a few times. "My mistake, my mistake. I didn't realize you were such a family man, Qin Yun."

"After such a long flight and looking at so many warehouses, everyone is hungry. Let's eat."

Seeing Qin Yun's response, Haishizi didn't insist on arranging maids for them.

Qin Yun ate heartily, not acting restrained out of concern for Haishizi.

In this peril-filled place, only by eating his fill would he have the energy to consider other matters.

After finishing the meal, Qin Yun and Julia returned to their room.

"Qin, we'd better be careful here. Don't be fooled by how polite Haishizi is being; if something goes wrong, he'll definitely abandon us."

Ever since she found out they were going to Belgium, Julia had been worried that something would go wrong for them.

Qin Yun patted Julia's shoulder and comforted her, "Don't worry, I've got everything under control. Nothing will go wrong."

He didn't tell Julia about meeting Robert because he wasn't sure if Robert would actually be useful.

If he held onto great hope only for it to be dashed, it would be even more painful.

At nine o'clock the next morning, a maid knocked on the door to tell them that Haishizi was looking for them.

Qin Yun gave an affirmative response and went out with Julia.

Haishizi was already prepared outside and quickly greeted them with a smile when he saw Qin Yun come out.

After a night's rest, Haishizi was refreshed and looked full of confidence.

"The auction is about to begin. Let's head out early; hopefully, we can secure a few more warehouses!"

With a wave of his hand, Haishizi set off for the military warehouse with his bodyguards.

Qin Yun shook his head; seeing Haishizi so high-spirited, others might mistake him for an expert in Warehouse Auctions.

With Robert's warning and assurance, Qin Yun had decided not to help Haishizi choose items.

He wondered if Haishizi would still be in such a good mood when he saw that the items he spent a fortune on were all junk.

After a strict security check, everyone lined up to enter the large warehouse.

Many more crates had been added today, with the numbers increasing from one hundred directly to one hundred and fifty.

Qin Yun had a new assessment of the organization's strength.

If everything could be sold through regular channels, these items would be worth at least five or six hundred million dollars.

Including derivative value—indirect benefits from oil, minerals, and intelligence—it would be worth at least two or three billion dollars.

Of course, this didn't mean Belgium was wealthy.

It was because Belgium was blockaded by all other countries, and the warlords had collected many valuable things to exchange for supplies, weapons, and cash, leading to this scale.

One could also say this was an act by warlords selling out the country's and the people's interests for cash.

Qin Yun shook his head, pushing the useless thoughts to the back of his mind.

Currently, his own safety wasn't even guaranteed, so there was no point in thinking about such things.

While inspecting the warehouses, Qin Yun noticed Robert pretending to examine the items displayed at a stall.

His gaze didn't linger for a moment on the three items Qin Yun had mentioned, and he still acted as if nothing were wrong when he saw Qin Yun.

Qin Yun marveled inwardly; Robert truly was an Agent, his acting was top-notch.

"Which warehouses do you think have good stuff in them?"

After making a round, Haishizi asked impatiently.

"There are quite a few things, and it's a bit overwhelming. I'm not certain yet; I need to take another look."

After saying this, Qin Yun walked around again and used his Profound Vision Treasure Eye on a pile of items he was interested in.

There was one item with a purple treasure light, two blue ones, and five green ones.

Seeing this, he felt a slight sense of disappointment.

Qin Yun had thought there would be something with a golden treasure light.

This was already quite luxurious for a typical Warehouse Auction.

But in such a dangerous place, having only purple treasure light items—after having his eyes dazzled by golden treasure light before—he didn't care much for them anymore.

"The items in number fourteen, ninety-three, and one hundred thirty-eight look good to me."

"Since I can't see what's inside, I can't guarantee there's anything good."

From the warehouses he'd inspected, Qin Yun specifically chose the numbers for one green and two blue treasure lights to tell Haishizi.

Haishizi ignored Qin Yun's subsequent warning and strode toward the stalls Qin Yun had mentioned, placing a bid directly on warehouse fourteen.

Everyone had seen Haishizi's boasting yesterday, so seeing him bid again, many interested parties followed to observe.

Haishizi's bidding today was much more intense than yesterday.

He secured the three warehouses Qin Yun mentioned at the high prices of 1.5 million, 1.9 million, and 2.4 million.

While everyone's attention was on Haishizi's bidding, Robert quietly secured the three warehouses Qin Yun had told him about at relatively low prices.

Carrying two safes and a cardboard box, Haishizi confidently chose to have the organizers open them.

Inside the cardboard box were over a hundred raw diamonds, some diamond appraisal tools, and the rest were all books and clothes.

Seeing this, Haishizi still had a grin on his face.

He firmly believed the two safes would contain good items just like yesterday.

Opening the first safe, there were many folders and a stack of US dollars.

Haishizi ignored the cash and grabbed the folders to look through them.

Discovering they were documents from a county-level unit, his face immediately darkened.

The second safe contained some documents.

This time, Haishizi didn't retrieve them himself but had a bodyguard bring them over.

Flipping through the documents with great anticipation, he found they were just company records.

Haishizi's face was clouded with gloom; he had spent about two million dollars more than yesterday, yet it was worthless to him.

The onlookers, who thought something good would be revealed, all shared a knowing smile upon seeing Haishizi's disappointment.

Without clues, it wasn't that easy to find good items; it was just that Qin Yun had been lucky before.

Just then, a cheer came from nearby.

"A treasure has been found! They actually discovered antiques from the era of the British Empire over there!"
