98: A stunning reversal

Crestfallen and having already accepted defeat, Bruno was stunned.

Treasure? Could these scraps of paper really be valuable?

Light returned to his dull eyes as he hurried forward to examine the blueprints and maps Qin Yun had picked out.

Seeing the dense experimental records on them, he froze.

He truly didn't understand the data on them.

"Qin Yun, what's written on here?"

Bruno looked at Qin Yun with a face full of confusion.

If he hadn't already known that Qin Yun was a big shot in Warehouse Auctions, he would have thought the man before him was a fraud.

What could be valuable about some experimental blueprints?

Humphrey noticed that Qin Yun remained calm throughout, giving him a bad premonition.

This man was an Expert in Warehouse Auctions, even more capable than Walter by his side.

Could the situation change?

But then, seeing Bruno's disappointed expression, his heart, which had been hanging in suspense, settled back down.

"This consultant still hasn't given up. What kind of treasure could be in this pile of scrap paper? Do you think these papers were used by some homeless person to sleep on? Or maybe they were used for..."

Humphrey feigned a solemn look, but his words were dripping with mockery.

Walter laughed out loud exaggeratedly, cupping his right hand to his ear with a look of disbelief on his face.

"What value could something that even a homeless person looks down on have? This paper is so coarse, they probably wouldn't even use it to wipe their asses."

"I think this guy just won't give up, trying to find treasure in trash. This isn't a novel; how could there be such a coincidence?"

Walter had never imagined he could win this competition so easily.

He had been ready to give up on the powerful ally he'd worked so hard to cling to, but now things had taken a turn. Thinking of his past grievances with Qin Yun, he couldn't help but mock him.

The spectating Treasure Hunters laughed even harder upon hearing their words.

They didn't dare say anything too extreme about Bruno, the local Tycoon.

But this nobody was different. Losing the competition from such a favorable position made him a total loser.

"What kind of thing is the consultant Bruno found? I thought the young man had some skills, but he's just a hack who can't even see through such a simple scheme."

"This warehouse has no value. Even I could see Humphrey was forcing himself to bid, yet he knew nothing. What trash!"

"I think Bruno only raised the price after consulting that guy. He has no talent at all, just a first-rate troublemaker!"

"This consultant is worse than me. I could have won this contest by doing nothing after buying the first warehouse, but this guy messed around and it was all for nothing!"

"This loser still won't give up, trying to find treasure in garbage. With his lack of skill, why is it so hard to admit defeat?"

"If I were him, I would have bought a block of tofu and killed myself by crashing into it long ago!"

...Bruno felt a surge of anger as he heard everyone questioning Qin Yun's strength.

"Qin Yun, should I teach these foul-mouthed guys a lesson for you?"

Qin Yun was a big shot he had worked hard to invite, a top-tier figure in the world of Warehouse Auctions.

He was hoping to build a good relationship with Qin Yun so he could ask for his help again in the future.

So, hearing everyone mock Qin Yun made him feel very indignant.

Qin Yun was a big shot among Treasure Hunters, his strength completely crushing these nobodies. What right did they have to look down on him?

In his heart, Bruno trusted Qin Yun's judgment implicitly.

These blueprints were good things; he was just being slow and hadn't realized it yet.

Seeing Bruno's concerned look, Qin Yun felt a slight touch of emotion.

This man might have various flaws, but he treated him well.

Bruno hadn't said much when others mocked him, but when they showed disrespect to Qin Yun, Bruno was furious and wanted to settle scores with the onlookers.

"The specimens here are for studying ore veins. Although these people weren't very professional, they could still determine the type and content of the minerals."

"Their goal was likely to find gold veins, but according to the experimental reports, gold is only an associated mineral with low content and purity. That's why they abandoned this place."

"However, according to the experimental records, these ores contain a large amount of silver. Mining it used to be difficult and not worth the effort, but with today's advanced technology, the value of the vein can certainly be realized. The marks on the map are the actual locations of the veins, and it looks like the scale is quite large!"

Seeing that Bruno was a fairly straightforward person, Qin Yun had nothing to hide and revealed all his discoveries.

A silver vein?

Hearing those words, Bruno's heart skipped a beat.

Ignoring the experimental reports, he went straight to the survey documents.

He discovered that the vein contained at least hundreds of thousands of tons and was only twenty to thirty meters deep, and his face lit up with joy.

This could be called a rich mine with immense mining value, capable of yielding at least over a billion dollars in pure profit.

Even more precious was the fact that if he could control a Silver Mine alone...

...his influence would expand significantly.

Bruno took out his phone and searched for the location of the Silver Mine.

He found it was in the uninhabited West, currently ownerless and listed for sale by the government.

That fifty-eight square kilometers of land could be acquired for just five million.

Overjoyed, he immediately called his Legal Team and instructed them to negotiate with the officials to buy the land as soon as possible.

To prevent the target from leaking, he ignored the dust on the map and stuffed it directly into his jacket.

After saying a word to Qin Yun, Bruno excitedly walked up to everyone.

"You all misjudged it! There's a huge treasure in this warehouse, one worth a fortune. You all missed it. Compared to my consultant Qin Yun, you're all just trash, not even having one percent of his strength."

"The map here marks a piece of Unclaimed Land with rich silver deposits underground. That land is about to fall into my hands, and I'll have the title of a Mining Tycoon from now on."

"All of this is thanks to Qin Yun. You blind fools can only envy my good luck."

"Hahaha, I'm absolutely thrilled! Following Qin Yun's decision, I'm just too lucky, hahaha!"

Bruno had never felt as refreshed as he did today. After venting his thoughts in one breath, he looked at everyone triumphantly with his head held high, waiting for their admiration.

Everyone was dumbfounded, looking at the arrogant and smug Bruno in disbelief.

Could this be true?

Was there really a map of a Silver Mine inside?

Looking at Bruno's joyful expression, it didn't seem fake.

There was no need for Bruno to lie.

He was a great Tycoon, and his every move was under scrutiny. Since he said so and was going to buy the land, it couldn't be false.

If he were to deceive everyone, his reputation would be ruined, and he'd be shunned by all.

For a great Tycoon, that wouldn't be worth it.

"Holy crap, what's going on?"

"A Silver Mine? Bruno just hit the jackpot!"

"Bruno has definitely won. The value of a Silver Mine certainly can't be measured by two hundred thousand."

"Which god-tier Expert is his consultant? He didn't misjudge a single one of the three warehouses. He's simply a god!"

"If I had bought this warehouse and got a Silver Mine, I wouldn't have to worry about money for the rest of my life!"

"Humphrey is such a fool. Not only did he miss a treasure worth a fortune, but this incident will be remembered for a long time. Even if he wins dozens of times, it won't have as much impact as Bruno winning once!"

"Bruno has the luck of a fool. With this consultant, he not only won the competition but also secured a Silver Mine..."

...Everyone was too excited, chatting incessantly.

This event would surely be recorded in the history of Treasure Hunters; it was the most sensational event of the year.

Bruno thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of everyone's admiration.

However, he didn't forget the biggest contributor to this Warehouse Auction.

He hurried over to Qin Yun.

"Qin Yun, I'm so grateful to you. Regardless of how much this Silver Mine is worth, you don't have to contribute anything, and I'll give you twenty percent of the original shares!"
