20: I have no concept of money

The valet behind him hurriedly opened the leather bag and took out a cigar from a golden box.

"Thank you for your kindness, but I'm not quite used to the smell of cigars."

Seeing such a polite Tycoon, Qin Yun quickly waved his hand in refusal.

"Since Mr. Qin says so, then forget it."

Hearing Qin Yun's words, the Tycoon also waved his hand at the servant, who then put the cigar away.

"I really like Jackson's things. How about we go to my house to discuss in detail?"

The Tycoon's voice was very polite, even lowering his status a bit.

It was clear from this that he truly liked the items.

Tom saw that Qin Yun was a bit hesitant and hurriedly stepped forward to help, also wanting to gain some favor in front of Paul.

"Mr. Paul is a man of taste; he will certainly offer a price that satisfies you."

"Fine, then I shall respectfully accept."

The two hit it off immediately. Tom even walked over, wanting to curry favor, as the opportunity to befriend a Tycoon didn't come often.

"There are many strangers at the Auction House. How about I have my men escort you out?"

Tom made the suggestion in a flattering manner.

Paul shook his head dismissively upon hearing this.

"I've never been afraid of anyone in Borton City. Just look after my treasures; you don't need to worry about safety."

Paul didn't pay attention to Tom's words, just waved his hand and walked out.

The butler led the way, with two bodyguards flanking him and several servants following behind, looking very grand.

Qin Yun and Julia followed Paul to the parking lot.

In less than ten seconds, the vehicle contacted by the butler had already driven up to them.

It was a stretched bulletproof Lincoln limousine.

In the car, Paul became very kind, occasionally asking about the process of winning the warehouse auction and sometimes telling interesting stories about Jackson.

Qin Yun couldn't quite grasp the old man's preferences, but Julia was very good at dealing with such Tycoons.

The two chatted happily all the way, and the bright smile on Paul's face never disappeared.

Before they knew it, they had arrived at Paul's home.

Paul lived in a massive estate.

After entering through the main gate, the car drove through the garden for five or six minutes before stopping in front of the villa.

The massive villa was like a castle, its walls supported by six marble pillars, and the corridor was lined with many lifelike sculptures.

The interior was decorated with great style, like a medieval cathedral—solemn, elegant, and exquisite.

The butler led the way as they passed through a corridor hung with classical oil paintings. The light suddenly brightened, as if they had entered a new world.

The hall's decoration had a sci-fi style, dominated by silver-white metal.

There were many display stands inside, featuring collectibles related to movies.

"What you saw earlier were things left behind by my ancestors."

"But what I like most are things related to the entertainment industry, so I specially built this collection room to store them."

Paul introduced the items before them to Qin Yun and Julia, as if showing off his trophies.

Qin Yun was secretly speechless. The Paul family was indeed wealthy enough to be counted even in Borton City, where Tycoons were everywhere.

Paul looked proud, yet his words were very humble.

"It's nothing, just a small hobby of mine."

Getting excited, he introduced several collection items to them with great familiarity.

Paul introduced them enthusiastically for quite a while until he felt his throat getting tired. Then, he led them to a table to start discussing business.

"I really like Michael's Dance Costumes. I'm willing to offer two hundred thousand. What do you think?"

The Tycoon looked at the two of them and stated his initial offer.

Qin Yun was stunned; this price was completely beyond his expectations.

He had previously discussed it with Hank, and they thought it would be good if Jackson's Dance Costumes and manuscript could sell for 150,000 dollars.

Although the Dance Costumes were well-preserved, Jackson had performed in five or six hundred concerts throughout his life.

Each concert had several outfits. He became famous early and was fond of charity, so many Dance Costumes had been circulated.

Seeing Qin Yun's hesitation, Paul thought he was dissatisfied with the quote and quickly added to the price.

"How about two hundred and fifty thousand?"

Paul liked this item very much and, fearing Qin Yun wouldn't agree, hurriedly raised the price.

Qin Yun's expected price was 150,000. He had planned to quote 200,000 and then haggle with the Tycoon, but the man had actually added another 50,000 on his own!

Qin Yun was shocked and quickly nodded in agreement.

"That's fine. Thank you for your kindness, sir."

Although Paul didn't lack money and would likely offer an even higher price, Qin Yun couldn't continue to be insatiably greedy.

If it exceeded the market price by too much and Paul felt like he had been taken for a fool, he would certainly be unhappy.

Making an enemy of a Tycoon over a few tens of thousands was not a good choice.

Moreover, Qin Yun intended to befriend Paul, especially since he still needed to ask him about Allen's Draft Collection Card.

So he didn't hesitate and immediately agreed.

Paul laughed happily upon hearing Qin Yun's agreement.

"Hahaha, good. Then it's settled."

"Since the price for the Dance Costumes has been finalized, I'll offer another fifty thousand dollars for the remaining manuscript. How about it?"

The Tycoon held up one hand, indicating the price again.

Hearing that he was going to pay another 50,000 dollars for the manuscript, Qin Yun was dumbfounded.

He thought 250,000 was the price for the Dance Costumes plus the manuscript; he hadn't expected Paul to pay 250,000 just for the Dance Costumes.

This was a bit too extravagant.

Was this the world of the nobility?

Seeing that Qin Yun didn't agree, Paul thought he liked the manuscript too much to part with it.

"How about raising it to one hundred thousand? If you don't want to part with it, then forget it."
