34: Starry Sky Suite
"Boss, don't worry. If this guy dares to cause trouble in the shop, I can handle it myself."
After throwing the Black man out, Dewey clapped his hands with a relaxed expression, as if he had just done something trivial.
Qin Yun didn't care about the Black man's threat in the first place.
If he were really as powerful as he claimed, why would he still be working at a Secondhand Store?
"With you here, the shop's security is guaranteed. I'm very relieved by the way you handle things."
Qin Yun turned to look at Li Qiang and spoke words of comfort.
"Don't take this matter to heart. Just work hard in the shop. As long as you don't do anything wrong, no one can bully you here."
While the two were arguing, Qin Yun had already guessed that the Black man was likely the one behind the trouble.
Someone like Li Qiang, who cared so much about his companions, would never do something as ungrateful as biting the hand that fed him.
After the trouble was resolved, Julia continued to tally the sales.
Most of the items sold were secondhand musical instruments. Although many people looked at the antiques, the prices were relatively high, so fewer were sold.
Seeing this, Qin Yun understood the situation.
The right customer base was what mattered most.
Most customers attracted by antiques were ordinary people. No matter how much they liked an antique, they wouldn't spend too much money on it.
Because of the high foot traffic, quite a few relatively cheap secondhand musical instruments were sold.
It seemed that for this business to grow, having good items was necessary, but the rest depended on having enough targeted customers.
The reason Tom's Auction House could operate on such a large scale was due to the connections he had built up across various industries over many years.
Tom could guarantee that most of the items he acquired would find a buyer.
When people had a need, they would also think of Tom's Auction House.
This ensured that inventory didn't pile up, allowed for quick capital turnover, and helped the business grow larger and larger.
This was exactly what Qin Yun lacked right now.
He had many good antiques, and there would be even more treasures in the future.
If he had enough connections to move the goods, he would definitely make a fortune.
Julia had thought they would sell many antiques, so she looked a bit dejected seeing only a few items sold in a day.
However, considering this was the first day's turnover, it wasn't bad.
After everyone ate Chinese takeout for lunch, Qin Yun and Julia drove toward Hank's house.
"Qin, there's a Warehouse Market in Salem where many people gather to buy and sell antiques, attracting quite a few Collectors."
"A very large Warehouse Auction is being held there in the next few days. There will definitely be a lot of Collectors going there."
"Salem isn't far from us. We can go bid on a few warehouses and take the opportunity to meet some Collectors to sell our antiques. What do you think?"
Since becoming Qin Yun's assistant, Julia had learned a lot about Warehouse Auctions.
After Qin Yun made a big name for himself in the Treasure Hunting Circle, her status rose as well. Many private circles within the Treasure Hunting Circle opened up to her, allowing her to find information that ordinary people couldn't access.
Seeing that antiques were selling slowly in the secondhand shop, she had compared many Warehouse Auction locations and finally found one suitable for Qin Yun.
"Sure."
Qin Yun hadn't expected such a place to exist and quickly agreed.
This assistant was truly worth it; he only had to worry about bidding on warehouses, and Julia took the initiative to handle the rest for him.
He had also been worried that with so many treasures but no outlet to sell them quickly, they would just pile up in his hands.
With money only going out and nothing coming in, no matter how much money he had, it wouldn't be enough to sustain the inventory.
Seeing Qin Yun agree, Julia was very happy.
With Qin Yun's skills, he would definitely find many treasures in Salem.
Back at home, the two prepared the things they needed and agreed to head to Salem together the next day.
After going to his bedroom, Qin Yun checked the situation of the Salem Warehouse Auction market.
Salem was some distance from Borton City, about a three-hour drive via the state highway.
This large-scale Warehouse Auction only happened once in a long while. it would last for a day and consist of two sessions, drawing a large crowd.
Many locals would also go to join the excitement, so the scale was much larger than a typical Warehouse Auction.
The next day, the two headed to Salem together, arriving at their destination after 4:00 PM.
Near the Warehouse Auction site, there were many tourists and Treasure Hunters who clearly looked different from the locals.
They checked several hotels, but there were no rooms left.
Qin Yun was quite surprised.
The Warehouse Auction didn't start until tomorrow, yet the nearby hotels were almost entirely full.
It seemed that many Treasure Hunters and antique Collectors had arrived.
The Warehouse Auction in Salem was definitely going to be lively.
Arriving at a slightly more distant hotel, he went up to inquire and was told there was only one room left.
Just as Qin Yun was about to refuse, Julia grabbed his right hand.
"We'll take this room!"
More Treasure Hunters were still rushing to Salem, and Julia was afraid they wouldn't even have this room left.
Since she had decided to become Qin Yun's assistant, she had long been prepared.
Treasure Hunters often encountered harsh conditions; what was sharing a room compared to that?
Besides, it was with Qin Yun, so she didn't feel much resistance in her heart.
Seeing the determination in Julia's eyes, Qin Yun didn't say anything and booked the room.
If Julia, a girl, didn't have an issue with it, it would be too much for him, a grown man, to say anything.
As long as he was careful, nothing bad would happen.
When the two entered the room, they found it was a starry sky-themed suite.
Twinkling lights, a swing decorated with fresh flowers, a large pink round bed, a big bathtub placed directly in the corner, a glass-walled bathroom... everything indicated that this was no ordinary room.
"How about we find another hotel?"
Qin Yun glanced at Julia and saw her eyes darting away, her face flushing. She had become quite bashful, so he directly suggested changing hotels.
Julia never expected the room to be like this.
But she was the one who suggested it, so it wasn't easy to change her mind now.
"No need. I'm a bit tired after driving all day. Let's just freshen up."
It looked like all the nearby rooms were booked. If they stayed too far away, it might negatively affect tomorrow's Warehouse Auction.
It was just a room. Although Julia hadn't seen one like this before, she had heard her classmates talk about them. What was there to be afraid of?
Being inside, the atmosphere somehow became ambiguous.
Julia felt a bit awkward, so she took her change of clothes and went into the bathroom.
Once inside the bathroom, she was almost stunned.
She couldn't see the room from inside; this one-way glass was reversed!
And there was only a shower curtain less than a meter long.
If she showered inside, someone outside would definitely be able to see something.
After hesitating for a moment, Julia turned off the bathroom light, pulled the curtain to cover the key areas, and started showering.
Qin Yun sat on the soft, large round bed, his gaze involuntarily drifting toward the bathroom.
Hearing the sound of splashing water, he could see through the glass the fair, long legs below the knees and smooth little feet.
Blonde hair draped over her fragrant shoulders, she looked like a rain elf under the impact of the water.
The key parts blocked by the curtain were moving shadows, sparking the imagination and making it even more seductive.
His heart rate accelerated, and his whole body felt restless. Qin Yun couldn't help but feel nervous.
Julia couldn't see the outside situation, but she could imagine that Qin Yun must be watching her.
This kind of stimulation was almost like being blindfolded. She couldn't take it after three minutes and hurriedly finished.
She walked out wrapped in a bath towel, her face red and not daring to look at Qin Yun. She dove into the covers before tossing the towel out.
Qin Yun had been driving all day and was now covered in sweat. With his blood pumping, he also needed a cold shower to cool down.
Entering the bathroom and seeing the black lace tights and red bra, he, already excited, almost lost his self-control.
He averted his eyes and quickly began showering.
Hearing the sound of water, Julia looked up.
She found that Qin Yun had a good physique, and in the small glass bathroom, he looked even more masculine.
That night, the two slept on opposite sides of the bed. Most of the time was spent in silence, but their hearts were filled with an indescribable feeling.
The next day, after eating breakfast, the two arrived at the Auction Square.
Three warehouses were set up on the east side of the square.
The auction hadn't started yet, but there were already many people in the square.
To the left of the warehouses, a group of big shots in suits and leather shoes were chatting and laughing.
Some people tried to approach them but were turned away by bodyguards in black.
Seeing such a grand scene, Julia was very excited.
"Qin, with so many Tycoons here, there must be good stuff in the warehouses!"
With Qin Yun's ability, perhaps he could win a relatively good warehouse.
"It's best if we don't make a move in the first half!"
Qin Yun shook his head in refusal.
"Why?"
Hearing Qin Yun's words, Julia looked confused.
