147: Warehouse Surprise

After more than an hour of bumping along the road, everyone finally arrived at the location where the Warehouse Auction was being held.

This place had once been a military base, but many of the military facilities had now been dismantled.

The only visible defensive armaments remaining were anti-aircraft artillery and observation towers.

There were dozens of villas built of wood in the surrounding area.

Although their appearance was crude, it was clear that the organizers had put in a lot of effort.

Building such ostentatious things in a war zone served no purpose; they could be turned to ash by a single round of artillery fire.

However, to attract more wealthy people to participate in the Warehouse Auction here, comfort and privacy were essential.

Primo dropped everyone off at Villa No. 11, and after saying goodbye to Haishizi, he left hurriedly with the army.

It seemed that Haishizi and Primo did not have much of a personal relationship.

Qin Yun and Julia went to the guest room next door.

After putting down the luggage, Julia couldn't help but speak up: "Qin, this place is really too desolate. If something happens, there's nowhere to run. We must be extra careful."

Qin Yun nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, we need to act cautiously. Safety is the top priority."

Qin Yun also hadn't expected the Warehouse Auction to be in such a place.

Far from cities and towns, in the middle of nowhere, held at an abandoned military base.

The people here were mostly soldiers, so the identities of those who could come here to auction things were obvious.

They were either proxies for warlords or high-ranking officials of Belgium.

In this godforsaken place, if a problem arose, it would be difficult for him to leave even if he had ten more chances to use his Profound Vision Treasure Eye.

After staying in the villa for less than half an hour, Haishizi invited the two of them to walk around the Warehouse Auction area.

"The Warehouse Auction here is in the form of a street stall. The stall owners display the items to be auctioned in the open, and we go over to bid. The highest bidder wins."

"When it comes to delivery, you trade with the organizers. Just take note, you're not allowed to bring weapons when entering the warehouse, otherwise, you'll be expelled."

Haishizi introduced the precautions to the two of them as they walked.

"Then who can guarantee the authenticity of the items?"

Qin Yun was curious how such an unreliable and very primitive transaction could continue.

It was easy for the seller to fake things, while the bidder had no means of resistance at all.

Haishizi smiled mysteriously.

"Although it's hard to distinguish the real from the fake here, most of the items are genuine. Otherwise, Tycoons from all over the country wouldn't come here."

"There are boxes overlooked by officials, royal collections, many non-sale items, and some confidential documents. If you have the strength, you can even buy land and mineral deposits here!"

"The items only have simple descriptions, and some don't even have any. What you need to judge is what the item is and how much it's actually worth. This is also a game that relies heavily on luck!"

After speaking, Haishizi went to the office, paid a hundred thousand dollars in cash, and received a number plate.

In the central area, Qin Yun could see many big shots from all over the country, leading a circle of followers as they hurried inside.

The people here were all very guarded, and there was almost no communication between strangers.

There were several squads of soldiers constantly patrolling the perimeter to maintain order and ensure the security of the venue.

They arrived at a large warehouse where there was a metal detection instrument at the entrance.

They were only allowed in after showing the number plate and registering.

As soon as he entered the warehouse and saw the scene inside, Qin Yun was instantly stunned.

Inside, there were two rows of people setting up stalls, and the items for sale were even more varied.

There were various diamonds, antiques and cultural relics, various documents, safes, and so on.

In front of many stalls were many cardboard boxes of different sizes, and the contents inside could not be seen from the outside.

There were only two shipping containers, and even their doors were not open.

For others, except for the items displayed in the open, the contents of the wooden boxes and safes were all down to guesswork.

No wonder Haishizi said that it mainly relied on luck here.

The huge military warehouse contained a dozen or so stall owners and more than a hundred outsiders, making it seem quite empty.

However, the communication between the outsiders and the stall owners was very intense, and it looked quite lively.

"This is Belgium's Warehouse Auction. It looks very different from the ones in the US, doesn't it?"

"As long as you help me find good things, I will definitely reward you handsomely when we get back!"

Haishizi said, pointing to the stall ahead.

Qin Yun frowned when he heard this. Haishizi didn't specify what he was looking for; he was planning to use him as a consultant.

Speaking of good things, more than eighty percent of the items on the stalls should be good. At the very least, the diamonds and antiques displayed in the open were all real in his eyes.

"What exactly do you need? There are so many things displayed here. Without a goal, I don't know which items are suitable for you. I see that the diamonds and antiques on the stalls are probably all real."

Qin Yun had already sensed that something was wrong, and he was already seventy or eighty percent on guard against Haishizi in his heart.

He couldn't possibly point out all the valuable things just for Haishizi.

Haishizi pondered for a moment and said, "I know your luck is very good and your eye for things is extremely accurate. There's not much profit in the items displayed in the open, so you don't need to look at those. You just need to help me secure a few safes!"

Qin Yun agreed and began to browse through the stalls.

His mind was not on the items displayed by the stall owners; instead, he paid attention to what everyone was discussing.

Many buyers kept asking the stall owners what exactly was in the boxes and where they came from.

The stall owners would answer ambiguously with a sentence or two, leaving the rest for interested people to guess.

From everyone's conversation, Qin Yun learned that many people were interested in intelligence, government documents, military deployments, and the like.

He became even more certain in his heart that Haishizi had ill intentions.

Such things didn't have much value in the hands of ordinary people.

They were only useful in the hands of ambitious people interested in the oil and mineral deposits on this land of Belgium.

After understanding this, Qin Yun pretended to browse through the stalls again.

He used his Profound Vision Treasure Eye on the two stalls with the most people.

There was one pale gold safe, two purple safes, five blue safes, and the rest were green.

Qin Yun was very surprised in his heart.

The things inside were simply too good.

In just these dozen or so safes, there were valuable things inside.

The three safes with pale gold and purple treasure light made even him feel envious.

If he could take these three safes for himself, he could earn at least tens of millions of US dollars.

However, Qin Yun only thought about it in his heart. If he took such a hot potato, he was afraid he wouldn't be able to walk out of this place in Belgium.

He wouldn't even be able to get past Haishizi.

Haishizi was constantly paying attention to Qin Yun's situation. Seeing Qin Yun finish a round, he hurriedly went up to ask.

"How is it? Did you see any valuable safes?"

Hearing Haishizi's urgent inquiry and seeing that Haishizi didn't even bother to hide his intentions anymore, Qin Yun was even more certain that there was definitely a hidden agenda.

"Well, no one can be sure about the contents of a safe. You can't judge the quality of the contents from the type and value of the safe itself. It's all down to luck."

Qin Yun pondered for a moment. Seeing the look of impatience in Haishizi's eyes, he then continued: "I think safes Number Seven and fourteen are quite good."

The two safes he mentioned had one purple treasure light and one blue treasure light.

As for the pale gold safe, Qin Yun decided to keep it to himself. Even if he couldn't get it, he would never tell Haishizi.

Hearing Qin Yun's words, Haishizi hurriedly went to negotiate with the stall owner.
