40: They are all old acquaintances

Qin Yun was a bit confused by what he heard.

He wasn't some big Tycoon, so what was the point of inviting him to an auction?

Could it be that they saw him strike it rich and wanted to treat him like a sucker to be fleeced?

That didn't seem right either.

Auctions shouldn't rely on personal invitations, should they?

Looking at this man's demeanor, it seemed like the auction was very private.

Could it be of the same nature as the underground Warehouse Auction at the abandoned port last time?

The kind of auction that wasn't exactly legal.

The onlookers thought Qin Yun was discussing a deal and started clamoring to make offers as well.

"Sell it to me! I'll definitely pay a high price!"

"I really love harley motorcycles. How about transferring it directly to me?"

"If he can trade, why can't we?"

...The gentleman hadn't expected a few words of conversation to cause Qin Yun so much trouble.

He took off his hat and bowed in apology.

"I am sorry for causing you unnecessary trouble."

"This is my business card; it has the time and address on it. I look forward to your arrival."

The gentleman put his hat back on, took out a business card, and handed it to Qin Yun with both hands.

Once Qin Yun took the card, the man explained nothing more and turned to leave.

Qin Yun looked at the business card in his hand, feeling somewhat puzzled.

Was there some special trick to the auction this man mentioned?

Why did he seem so certain that Qin Yun would go?

Seeing the Treasure Hunters trying to crowd forward again, Qin Yun quickly stopped them.

"I am not selling anything here."

"If you want to buy something, you can find me at the Secondhand Store in Bolton's East District."

Qin Yun waved goodbye to the crowd and walked over to his pickup truck.

Laden with a full load of treasures, he drove toward Bolton.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Julia kept staring at a stack of business cards.

She had originally thought this trip would mainly be about getting to know Collectors.

She hadn't expected that Qin Yun winning two warehouses would cause such a sensation.

Many Collectors were actually taking the initiative to befriend Qin Yun.

This was much more impressive than her simply getting their contact information.

After a journey of more than three hours, the two finally arrived at the entrance of the Secondhand Store.

There were very few customers in the shop.

Seeing their boss's pickup, Li Qiang and Dewey hurried forward to help unload the goods.

When Li Qiang learned that these were precious antiques again, a look of difficulty appeared on his face instead.

"Boss, we have too few customers in the shop, and not many wealthy Tycoons. It'll be hard to sell such good items in the store."

"How about we hold an event to promote it?"

Li Qiang was originally an illegal immigrant and was very moved by the heavy responsibilities Qin Yun had entrusted to him.

He intended to work hard to repay Qin Yun's kindness.

Li Qiang had expected business to get better day by day.

Unexpectedly, fewer and fewer customers had come to the shop over the last two days.

Looking at all the expensive and good things in the shop that he couldn't sell...

He felt he was failing his boss's trust and couldn't help but feel a bit worried.

Qin Yun nodded inwardly.

Hiring this man was worth it; for a salary of two thousand dollars, he was actually so concerned about the shop.

"Don't worry, many people will come to the door in the next few days. You'll be busy then."

Qin Yun wasn't very worried about the customers.

Given the nature of those Collectors, they would flock here once they knew there were good items.

He had already done a great job of promoting himself at today's Warehouse Auction.

What he cared about now was getting the harley motorcycle and the Red Sandalwood Furniture restored.

"Julia, do you know any masters near Bolton who assemble vintage cars, or any Experts in restoring antique furniture?"

"I want the best; money is no object!"

Qin Yun wasn't afraid of spending money in this area, as long as the motorcycle was assembled perfectly.

And as long as the ming dynasty antique furniture was restored beautifully.

He would earn this money back several times over from the customers.

Julia immediately understood what Qin Yun meant.

He wanted to make the harley motorcycle and the ming dynasty furniture as perfect as possible.

Julia knew a few people in these fields.

But Qin Yun's requirements were too high; ordinary people probably wouldn't meet them.

It would be a sin to cause damage to such precious items.

"I have a Buddy who is very interested in all kinds of motorcycles; he might be able to assemble a vintage harley motorcycle."

While Julia was pondering, Dewey suddenly chimed in from the side.

He was very satisfied with his current job.

He only needed to keep an eye on this shop.

He was more than capable of guarding the security of a large factory.

A secondhand shop was a piece of cake for him.

Dewey felt that earning this money was simply too easy.

So, hearing his boss ask, he quickly spoke up with what he knew.

"As long as you say I referred you, that man will definitely give it his all."

Dewey wrote the name and address on a piece of paper and handed it to Qin Yun with both hands.

Qin Yun took the note happily.

"Thank you, you've done me a big favor this time."

He turned to Julia: "Let's go there now."

Qin Yun knew that a large group of Collectors would be coming to the shop soon.

He needed to get the harley motorcycle and the ming dynasty furniture fixed as quickly as possible.

Seeing Qin Yun in such a hurry,

Julia knew the sooner this matter was resolved, the better.

"Okay, let's head out now."

Julia was somewhat curious in her heart.

Whether these parts could actually be assembled into a harley motorcycle.

The two of them drove to the location Dewey had mentioned.

It was a motorcycle customization and repair shop.

Several large-displacement bikes were parked next to the entrance.

Qin Yun walked into the shop, where a burly man with a large beard was doing some final assembly.

The man was using a cloth to wipe the parts until they were shiny and bright.

The parts of the large bike were like toys in the burly man's hands, and a motorcycle was assembled in an instant.

Hearing the sound of a successful ignition, a slight smile appeared on the man's face.

"Excuse me, are you Nelson?"

"I was referred by Dewey; I have a motorcycle that needs you to assemble."

Having seen the whole process, Qin Yun felt this man might be the one.

Nelson was looking at the rapidly spinning rear wheel with a look of pride.

He had seen the customers come in but hadn't paid much attention.

However, upon hearing the name "Dewey," he quickly spun around.

"Which Dewey? Is it the one who used to do security and is currently resting?"

Nelson even ignored the bike he was testing after the repair.

He sized up the two strangers with a look of surprise.

"Yes, but Dewey is already working at my shop. This is the note he wrote."

Qin Yun nodded in confirmation and handed over the note in his hand.

Hearing that it was his good Buddy, Nelson opened his arms to come forward and hug Qin Yun.

Thinking of the engine oil all over him, he stopped halfway.

He took the note.

The letters were twisted in a very rhythmic way; one look and it was clearly Dewey's handwriting.

"Since you're Dewey's friends, you're my friends."

"Isn't it just assembling a motorcycle? It's a piece of cake for me. Once it's assembled, I'll give you some decorations for free."

Nelson was getting a bit impatient.

He was the first to walk out the door, wanting to handle his Buddy's business beautifully.

Qin Yun shook his head helplessly.

This man seemed to be quite the hothead.

He and Julia followed Nelson to the pickup truck.

Nelson had thought it was a new bike, but he was dumbfounded when he saw the pile of parts on the pickup that couldn't be dismantled any further.

He felt a bit apprehensive in his heart, but he didn't say anything.

He began to inspect the parts one by one.

The more he looked, the more shocked he became.

How was this different from a normal bike?

When he saw the 1955 stamp and the Harley logo on the engine...

"This... how is this possible?"

Nelson cried out in alarm.

Ignoring the grease on it, he gently caressed the entire engine as if it were a lover.

Then, he looked at Qin Yun with a bitter face.

"I'm afraid I'm powerless. This harley motorcycle is simply too old; I'm afraid my master will have to step in."

"It's just that my master is the owner of the dealership, and he might not have the time."

Nelson really wanted to help Dewey resolve the matter.

But this was already beyond his ability.

He was a bit worried that his master might not necessarily help with this, and he was feeling troubled.

"Is your master's name Ross? The owner of that secondhand car dealership?"

Julia had researched Ross's information and suddenly chimed in with a question.

Nelson was stunned, looking surprised.

"How did you know?"
